Very nice view from the deck. Very helpful/friendly staff.
We had a very nice stay. The only disappointment was that there was no fridge in the room. Our milk, sausage and other food went down because we couldn't store it anywhere.
The scenery was beautiful.
The food was off the books! It's prepared and laid out with so much love and care. The special service in front of the warm fireplace and the effort to serve the breakfast differently every time. We felt very welcome and the people were warm and friendly. We will definitely come again and invite everyone we know to visit the special place.
The location has fantastic views and the staff make you feel like a very special person.

The road to the lodge is absolutely dreadful and the speed bumps at the lodge damaged my vehicle. We would have liked a drink when we got there but were told the bar would only open at 17:00 and all they could offer us was water. The supper was awful. We ordered chicken schnitzel and chips for the two adults and a beef burger for the toddler. The schnitzel was not very nice and the buns of the burger were so hard as to be inedible. The chalets are very run down. The door of the one chalet would not open and that room could only be accessed through the inter-leading door. The bedding and towels were immaculate. We were plagued by mosquitos and flies and there was nothing in the chalet to use for the insects and no fly screens on the window. We were lucky that we had mosquito repellent but even that did not stop us from being bitten. The TV didn't work and only one room had a TV. The rooms were also unbearably hot even with the fans going and the windows open. Because of the heat, we had to sleep with the windows open which aggravated the insect problem. The breakfast the next morning was good. The redeeming feature of the lodge was the staff. They were helpful and obliging.
This is our second visit to Zuikerkop and once again were very impressed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Accommodation in the rondawel was very comfortable and clean.
One of the best kept secrets on the Maloti trail. Well maintained with the most beautiful gardens, a hostess who goes the extra mile, delicious meals, everything to go back to again and again.
We had a great time. Food was tasty and tastefully prepared. Hostess, Johannie, is an asset and gold worth for the guest farm. William who served us so beautifully is a great asset. Get breakfast with a view like nowhere else. Thank you very much.
We slept wonderfully on those beds. Sorry it was so very dry. Place very nicely laid out, beautiful view. Very clean and staff with warm welcome.

It is a fantastically beautiful place. We really enjoyed the visit and the service was excellent. It was incredibly hot and a fridge in the room can be highly recommended.
Stay was excellent - the Thursday buffet meal however was a rip-off.

The service was amazing, the coordinates on the website were wrong and we got lost following them, please look into that.
Don't know about six year old daughter who lives with us. Wait 25 min at gate to be admitted on arrival (several times after that). Poor, receptionist doesn't know about our reservation. Restaurant advertised but does not exist. Can only order lasagna. Spa advertised but does not exist. Order latte and then get regular coffee. Accounting system chaos. Managers discuss employer and staff with us and put employer in a bad light, managers discuss us with other guests. Cleaning service in room below standard. Suggest they make it self-catering accommodation.
The only thing that we had a bit of a problem with was the very bad gravel road that we had to drive everyday that we wanted to attend the Kersiefees. The accommodation is beautiful and stylish. The friendly service is of high quality and we felt very at home. The breakfast was wonderful. I would just suggest that the owner put a fan in the rondavel and also 2 chairs.

We were very impressed with the people who facilitated our stay. The kindness and help of Suzane, William and Lebo. We are sorry that Suzane is moving on, but happy to have met her! Would also suggest that people be made aware that the Lodge makes sure their guests know that the Lodge provides catering. Food and drinks. So no provision for "self catering". Costs for meals and drinks very reasonable.
The place is 100% perfect to spend holidays and for marriages.

We got married at the Lodge 5 years ago and it was so wonderful to return. Friendly staff, beautiful surroundings (including lots of wildlife) and delicious food. The dinners at an extra cost are the biggest bargain of 2018! We are now well rested for the rest of the year.
I suggest that some attention should be given to maintenance work. Some of the units' fans were not working and here and there repairs/maintenance are needed. The pool was also not very clean. The dinners and breakfasts were excellent and I must thank Suzaan and her team for their hospitality and effort.

Breathtaking view, silence and tranquility and nice hiking trails teeming with wildlife. I was looking for inspiration and silence for my studies and definitely found it. The staff goes the extra mile to meet all your needs. Thank you very much for a wonderful visit!
Had a warm welcome. All the facilities are neat and well maintained. The meals served were well prepared and delicious. The game drive was very enjoyable and educational. All the staff members were friendly and we had a wonderful time at Zuikerkop.

Net wat ons nodig gehad het. Ons was goed ontvang en almal het uit hulle pad gegaan om ons te akkommodeer. Ons het elke aand baie lekker geëet en lekker geslaap - uitsig asemrowend en die stilte en voëlgesang was rus vir ons siel. Ons sal beslis die plek aanbeveel - sien julle binnekort weer.

We really enjoyed our time at the lodge, the staff are friendly and helpful, it's quiet and relaxing. The food is fantastic! All that is missing is a "bar fridge" in the rooms and maybe even air conditioning.
We wanted to barbecue but no permission was given. Boilers in room switch off too early.
Beautiful location. But the rondavel is disappointing. The door was scew, huge gap that I had to fill with a towel. Sewage smell outside. I didn't want to use the shower ... gross. Breakfast was served late. You get the idea that management is not on top of everything.
Sorry there is no TV. Breakfast also not comparable to guesthouses which are even cheaper. Was quite disappointed.

Zuikerkop staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Really goes out of their way to make the stay pleasant. Rooms very clean and neat and up to standard. Dirt road just a bit rough.

We were a bit disappointed with Zuikerkop. Firstly, it was a very hot day (35°C+) and there was no fridge or air conditioning in the room. Then we got behind the toilet. We were moved to another unit, which was better, but still needed maintenance. For example: the door was stuck, the soap dish was loose, the toilet seat was loose and the shower tap was loose. It appears that all the chalets have a lot of small problems, which are easily solvable, but need attention. What we can say is the food was delicious and the people were friendly. The lodge is located in a very nice place, but with the hot climate they need to provide air conditioning and refrigerators. It doesn't help that you put water out in the rooms and it's lukewarm. We stayed in the cheapest B&B, which is much better than the lodge.
