The main bedroom and lounge have direct access to a wide terrace with 180 degree sea-view, outdoor furniture and a gas barbeque.
Four kilometres of beautifully soft sandy beach washed by the warm Indian Ocean stretches either side of La Mer. The beach, accessed by a private gate, is a few minutes' walk from the apartment and offers excellent fishing off the beach, safe swimming in waters protected by shark nets, blissful sunbathing and endless sand castle building opportunities. The lagoon at the mouth of the Lovu River is a haven for bird-watching and canoeing.
La Mer is well maintained with lush gardens and a sparkling swimming pool and kiddies pool with barbeque facilities and a club house. The complex has 24-hour security, undercover parking for one vehicle, plus ample open parking for visitors. The main coastal highway is out of view and earshot, but is 10 minutes' drive away offering easy access to some of South Africa's top game parks, dive sites, nature reserves, golf courses and other coastal attractions.

It was the best experience by LekkeSlaap to date. The service by the 26 La Mer - Ground Floor team was amazing. They kept me informed of the booking, offered additional options and information (such as when loadshedding would be, I could pre-order shopping and have it delivered, everything was already packed away when we arrived) Gabi at La Mer was "next level" service. The unit was clean, incredibly well equipped in the kitchen, new, modern. There was even a sun umbrella available for the beach. Everything was in good working order, almost new. My only criticism is the wifi speed, especially because the DStv channels were limited and children are always streaming something on their phones/ipads. I would recommend the La Mer team and unit 10/10! Thank you very much!
The unit is very clean and tidy with everything you need. The reception was also excellent, would recommend this unit \ complex anytime.
I can definitely recommend this accommodation. There is a daily cleaner who helps to keep the place clean and tidy, thus taking your holiday experience further that you don't have to also clean the house and make the bed. The fact that the unit is on the ground floor makes it so much more fun to enjoy the lawn with your children. Very neat unit where everything works properly. I can truly recommend it.
Our time at La Mer 26 was perfect! Gabi and the ladies who clean are friendly, professional and thorough. A breathtaking view of the sea and the tranquility of the complex is a winning recipe for a wonderful holiday. The apartment is beautiful, with everything and more you could ask for. So much love and attention has been put into every aspect of this beautiful apartment that you can't help but already plan your next vacation. The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer!
26 LaMer is a beautiful spacious apartment with everything we needed. The cleaning service was a nice surprise as I don't want to clean up while on holiday. I was also surprised that the kitchen was well stocked with good quality crockery, utensils and appliances. Loved that we had a washing machine too. The beach was a tad bit of a walk with all the chairs, tent and picnic stuff but I would definitely come back.

Beautiful place and will come back again. Stove just needs to be replaced. Plates were swollen and one of them already burst. It's a struggle to cook like this.
So satisfied, everything from the parking to the beds were well appointed, and the view makes it even more beautiful! Very, very happy!
We absolutely loved the accommodation. Le-che had been terribly cute and so helpful. The cottage was clean and had everything you could need. They even gave us two highchairs for the little ones and helped with the ironing. The apartment has a beautiful view of the sea and a nice lawn for the children to play. Walking distance to a private beach and the complex's swimming pool and playground are of high quality. We will definitely come back again.
Very stylish and fantastically furnished apartment with the best view of the beach! Very peaceful to go to bed every night with the sounds of the ocean in the background. Very good quality linen and kitchen equipment.
Stunningly furnished, beautiful sea view, so clean and neat. Two lovely rooms, enough parking and WiFi. The way to the beach is quite far and you have to cross train tracks, bit of an issue if you have small kids, and there were no lifeguards. If want a safe beach with lifeguards you have to go to Amanzimtoti. Day visitors are not allowed at the ATKV beach south of La Mer.
Apartment is lovely, pool and braai areas are well maintained. Definitely recommended.
Excellent location and fantastic views of the ocean when you enjoy your morning coffee on the patio. Even in rainy weather the venue is fantastic and practical, and you can have a grand time on the large patio. Definitely had a great time at La Mer. Shall return next year.
26 La Mer was truly a dream place. The apartment is so nicely furnished, with everything you can think of, with a beautiful view over the sea. It looks exactly as the photos indicate. Everything from the correspondence with the owner to picking up the keys, to the stay itself was perfect. We enjoyed it so much and can confidently recommend it to everyone. We will definitely go back!
The apartment is beautiful and well furnished and the veranda and view fantastic. Beach not so ideal for small children. Nice area close to everything. Swimming pool was a hit with the kids. A lot of effort has been put into the accommodation and the cleaner is very nice.
Well located with easy and safe access to the beach. Ground floor unit with large porch opening onto lawn, ideal for families with young children. Management very helpful and quick to sort out any problems.
The accommodation was excellent, rooms large and clean. We had a very nice stay and we had the privilege of seeing dolphins from the stop. The service from booking to check-out was excellent.
