The accommodation is comfortably furnished for self-catering with a comfortable bed and a large shower. The air conditioning was definitely a plus as it was quite warm in February. Nicely close to the museums and an excellent restaurant, Frontier's, across the street. The Valley of Desolation is worth a visit and close to town. Cars safe behind a gate. Can recommend the accommodation.
The room was clean and safe. However, the self-catering facilities were sparse to say the least, and there was no WiFi.

The unit was particularly comfortable, clean and tidy. It is well equipped with all the necessary equipment. The communication was excellent and was constantly in touch about arrival time. Very conveniently located with also the Pioneer Restaurant right across the road. We really enjoyed our stay here.
It's not the first time we've stayed overnight in Parsonage Street, but the unit worked so well, because we 2 over 60s didn't arrive until after dark. We were therefore able to park and unload the car behind the closed security gate. It was very convenient. The units are well equipped and have everything you need for an overnight stay. It's always so special for me to spend the night in this special Karoodorp and I really have it on my to-do list to come and spend another weekend here. Lots to do and the beautiful buildings and streets make it worth it.
We had such a nice stay. Very well equipped cottage. Beautifully clean. Lovely bed. Air conditioner and secure parking. We got charcoal and flash and were able to grill some meat.
Attention is paid to small things such as e.g. charcoal for the braai. This makes it very practical especially since we are touring with a motorcycle.
Graaff-Reinet is my hometown. Really enjoyed sleeping over there and reliving all the memories.
Very good location, across the road is Pioneer's restaurant. Please ask the host to display the WiFi access code somewhere in the room. There is no signal and I had to phone and request the code. TV didn't work.
Friendly service. Everything needed. Opposite a restuarant with fantastic food. Security secure parking behind a gate. Neat and clean. My husband is very tall and the iron bed not so comfortable for sleeping. Would recommend a bed without a base instead. Mattress also not very comfortable. Stay was good and I would recommend to others.
Recommended. Overnight stop travelling with two pets. Linda, manager, was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Safe parking and restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and neat, includes a kitchenette and a well sized bathroom with shower. This unit is located in the parking area so if you are travelling with pets you do need to walk them round the block.

After a long day on the road, it was wonderful to receive such a warm and friendly welcome. Safe on site parking so we didn't have to unpack the whole car. Super clean and neat room with kitchenette. Absolutely ideal for an overnight. Highly recommended!

Good option for overnight stay. Can barbecue if you want or go out to eat across the street. No need to drive. However, it is difficult to make your own food other than grilling. However, not necessary.
Would perhaps mark off parking areas for particular units. E.g. another car and buggy parked in front of No.4 and we (no.4) had to park further away and it was raining.
We immediately felt at home. Room particularly well equipped, only air conditioning. Spacious bathroom with nice big shower. Everything had been perfect. We will stay here every time from now on.
The cold water faucet in the bathroom did not work. The lock on the front door has a tag that is loose and it gave a little trouble with the lock. But overall everything was 100%. Lovely bed and bedding. Very central and close to everything we wanted. Thank you very, very much. I can also highly recommend the Hello You coffee shop.

Would be ideal for solo traveller. Not enough privacy because the parking of the other guests is right at the front door and then you don't want to braai either, because you have no privacy with the parking. It's better to go out to eat than to cook there.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to find unexpected extras supplied like firelighters in the braai, hair dryer, salt and pepper, paper towelling, in fact everything we could possibly want. It was a treat to be staying so close to the museums in one of the many National Heritage cottages.
We really enjoyed our one day in Graaff - Reniet. Everyone is friendly and there is so much to do and see. Will definitely make a visit there again.

Spent 4 nights in no. 4 and 2 nights in no. 6. Both places were very neat, clean and ideally located. Linda and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

I loved our one night stay at this old house.
Old building that has been redone, not for people who are 6 feet and taller. Also smoking in rooms so not for non-smokers. Walls are very thin, so hear everything going on, for the price, it's not worth it. Very good location, right opposite one of the two restaurants still open in Graaff-Reinet.

This unit is centrally located in the middle of the "old town" of Graaff-Reinet. All around are the most popular museums and the nearest restaurant is right across the road. The unit was clean, tidy, well appointed and everything you need for a quick stop for one or 2 nights.

We had a pleasant overnight stay in a well appointed and safe establishment. Linda, who is friendly and efficient, allowed us to check in little early which was a real bonus, because I had office work to do. She also assisted me with the WiFi password and I was able to do my work online. The rooms are clean, comfortable with all the necessities for an overnight stay. They also offer a varied DStv package enabling sports lovers to watch live sport. I look forward to returning in future.

Everything was as we agreed and the room was clean and tidy. There was secure parking space available for my car and tea, coffee and milk were available. We were kindly received and fully informed about everything. No problems were experienced.

We have no. 4 booked, but with our permission no. got 6. It was awesome! Really so comfortable, a family can enjoy staying here! Very good location and the old plank floors and beds create such a peaceful atmosphere!
Thank you for friendly reception, Linda. Roos was clean, neat and had everything we needed. The warm blanket and air-conditioning were a bonus for the low temperatures.
There are so many positive aspects, but if I have to mention something negative it is that there was a bit of a burden of ants. Because it offers pet-friendly accommodation, it would be good if the cottage located at reception (no 4) and where cars park, is provided with a gate.
Very clean accommodation, friendly people who responded to our needs at all times, felt very safe in the area and could walk around even at night without feeling unsafe. Many great dining opportunities close by.

They said the room was lovely. They asked for a separate shower and they were given a room with the separate shower. They said the room had a lovely little kitchen nook with the basic necessary appliances, such as kettle, microwave and fridge. They also appreciated the DSTV. All in all it was lovely. Thank you to Linda for looking after them and for calling me to ensure they were safe.
We got a bigger place at nr. 6. Michelle, the manager was very helpful. Had everything we could think of. Wondeful stay. Aircon and DStv.
The room is well equipped for self-catering accommodation and very well located to explore Graaff-Reinet largely on foot. The service is friendly and effective: you really feel at home from the start! There is safe parking for your car and Karookos is available just across the street at Pioneers - if you don't want to cook yourself with the provided wood and braai. A reasonable place to stay where you can stay a few days in a historic town and surroundings.
Ideal place to spend the night on the way to your destination. Definitely value for money. Will stay there again for sure. Absolutely clean, tidy, safe and friendly staff. Cherry on the cake was a Karoo restaurant just across the road.
