51 La Mer is a sea, estuary and coast line-facing self-catering apartment, situated on the tropical east coast of KwaZulu-Natal. Just 30 km south of Durban, is the quiet, unspoilt coastal village of Illovo Beach with blissfully balmy weather all year round and the warm tropical waters of the Indian Ocean.

The second-floor apartment can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The main bedroom contains a queen-size bed, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath and a shower. The second and third bedrooms each contain 2 single beds. The single beds in one bedroom can be converted into a king-size bed on special request. The shared bathroom is fitted with a shower and a bath.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a washing machine, stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. The dining area has seating space for 6 people, while the lounge has a comfy lounge suite. The main bedroom and lounge have direct access to a wide terrace with 120-degree sea, estuary and coastline views, outdoor furniture, and a gas barbeque.

The La Mer complex is well maintained with lush gardens and a sparkling swimming pool and kiddies pool, as well as braai facilities and a clubhouse. The complex has 24-hour security, undercover parking for 1 vehicle, plus ample open parking for visitors. The main coastal highway is out of view and earshot but is 10 minutes drive away, offering easy access to some of South Africa's top game parks, dive sites, nature reserves, golf courses and other coastal attractions in the area.
