A pleasant stay. Host was most welcoming. A convenient stay over for early entry into the KNP. The tarred access roads with Phalaborwa were badly potholed and care must be taken when travelling on them.

On the way to KNP, our vehicle broke down 77 km away from Phalaborwa. The owners went out of their way to help us with transport arrangements. The living unit is very tidy and the fact that there was a bowl of milk with more than enough coffee/tea available for several cups of boeret rose made "A Traveller's Palm" a favorite/ideal overnight stop. Especially since it is located only a few km from the KNP-Phalaborwa gate.
There is nothing more to say. Didn't have much contact with the owners.
One very small bathroom. If one person is standing at the sink, others can't exactly rush past to use the toilet. Persons who sleep in the main bedroom have to walk at night through another room where there are 4 adults or even children to get to the toilet. The place may be suitable for a family with young children, then it is still troublesome.

A Traveller's Palm is a good place to stay if you are on your way to Kruger National Park or on your way out. Has a nice lapa and pool and is suitable for singles and families.
Good place for entry to Kruger.
We just spent the night here on our way to the Kruger National Park. Comfortable room and clean bedding. There is a small microwave oven, kettle and tea/coffee facilities as well as a mug of fresh milk in the fridge. The outdoor bathroom (en suite) was beautiful. And the air conditioning is appreciated! There is ample parking on site as well as a swimming pool and recreational activities (we did not use them). I would stay there again and would recommend A Traveller's Palm.

The previous guest house was fully booked, A Traveller's Palm was suggested. It was in the same price range and area. This time the room was too small for bedside tables next to the beds. The hanging place for clothes was a stick with 4 hangers in front of the wall mirror. The bathroom was spacious, but one wall consisted only of spars with spaces in between with no privacy. The toilet roll came out every time. The breakfast was exorbitantly expensive.
Welcome reception that makes you feel at home immediately. Clean, tidy place with some of the nicest beds we've ever slept on. Owner also oriented us in terms of good restaurants, location, and facilities available. Very impressed with layout of rooms. Will definitely use their service again. Also secure parking.

It was a quick sleepover before we went into the game park. It was very neat and comfortable. We only got there late and we were welcomed very kindly. However, there are no card facilities but luckily we had cash with us. The reception was warm and very friendly. We left early the next morning and were helped early to get the buggy out after we were sort of stuck parked. Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable warm and cozy place to sleep over.

Everything was really nice, only the room we slept in had an old door with a window with no curtain and was really difficult to sleep with the light in the room, would recommend they should hang a curtain or blind there, and have a bathroom had no curtain.

Wooden posts that are meant to serve as a wall just don't work, don't care if you change the name to "Budget". Tell us there is no wall in the bathroom but only some wooden posts.
We booked two rooms, budget and regular. Keep in mind that the budget room shares a bathroom. We had a nice barbecue with delicious wood, parking was safe. Nice quick stopover on the way to the wildlife park.

All accommodation requirements were good but we thought that, as an advertised Bed and Breakfast , the breakfast (which is excellent) would have been included in the quoted price, but that was not the case. After due consideration we were offered a light continental breakfast on the house which was appreciated and tasty.
We were warmly received and treated kindly. The room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast we enjoyed was delicious and even more enjoyable as it was served by the pool in the lapa.
There was no offer for any extra services. No breakfast or no mini bar in the room. Only your bed and bathroom with coffee and milk. Space very tight. No work surface to prepare meals on. Stairs very dangerous for children who have to get up at night to go to the toilet. The customer service is "non-existent". Travelers Palm is run like a commune. Rooms are regularly cleaned and kept clean. The location is lovely; away from the hustle and bustle. Silence is heavenly. Regarding safety, I have already mentioned the stairs. There is no witch security. Vehicles completely exposed. Any Jan-Rap-and-his-mate has access to the entire premises from the street without anyone noticing.
We spend the night with three people in a room that is too small, 2 adults had to sleep upstairs which is actually intended for children. Complained the next morning but little was done about it. They could have given at least one free breakfast. R840 is far too expensive for this room with R80 pp before breakfast. Very bad so not recommended.

The place is a loop court with all the big palm trees and is absolutely recommended for a delicious, comfortable, peaceful and safe overnight stay or stay while you want to visit the Kruger WIldtuin or surroundings. It's a very nice place to stay, and well located. We were only there one night, and will go again if we need to sleep over.
We arrived very late that evening, took a shower, went for a quick dinner, and then to bed. Left the next morning at 04h00. Slept well in the bed provided. Did not make use of the TV or the coffee/tea facilities. Safe parking. the owner Johan was very helpful as far as eat out facilities were concerned. All was fairly well.
The owners were enjoying a nap when we arrived, but they could have left a note on the front door…
A country town's hospitality! The place is neat and clean, and the air conditioners were already on, making the place wonderfully cool. All the uncertainty there was was where to park and finding your way in the dark at an unknown place.
We will definitely rest and spend the night at A Travelers Palm Guest House again.

Neat and very clean, beds comfortable, but although I said I would recommend to a friend, I would do so purely because of the cleanliness and the entertainment area which offers braai facilities, lapa and swimming pool. However, we hardly slept because of the neighbours dog that barked continuously for about 4 hours and the owners of the B&B made no effort to assist in this regard, which was most annoying, based on that I would not recommend this to friends.
