Little gem in Heidelberg. Clean, neat, safe. Very comfortable stay.
Friendly hosts were there to greet us on our arrival and make sure everything was to our liking.

Stayed in Langsdiehoek. Double bed with 2 single beds in bedroom. Another single bed in living area which includes a well-equipped kitchenette. Small shower with nice strong water. Delicious breakfast served in room. TV only adjusts in living room and not bedroom. WiFi works well. Host was very helpful. I highly recommend Aan De Kanal.
Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We were very kindly received with the accommodation neat and clean. Would recommend anytime.
The advertising photos could not depict what you really experience in the uniqueness of Aan De Kanaal Country Lodge's interior and garden layout. The indoor barbecue area is definitely another winner for the lodge, combined with the friendliest hostess and host of Aan De Kanaal Country Lodge.
We felt so welcome and at home. Had a lovely time and the most delicious breakfast is served.

I was warmly received. I was pleased that a restaurant is located on the premises. They serve good old-fashioned food. Breakfast was excellent. One suggestion though, don't put ice into the orange juice without asking first. Overall a lovely stay.
We had a wonderful stay! Room is very well equipped and the air conditioning was our salvation in a very hot Heidelberg. Very friendly hostess and also the most delicious food in the restaurant. Can definitely recommend Aan De Kanaal Country Lodge.
For a night's sleep it is perfect. The shower is not too big, but sufficient.
The photos are misleading. The room is dark, impractical, no sink for dishes - had to wash cutlery in the same sink as where you brush your teeth! Two gas stoves right next to an indoor braai. TV's channels only set to 1 which is still snowing all the time. TV in room and guests must sit on bed. We stayed much cheaper and more comfortably in Sedgefield, also booked via LekkeSlaap. To still pay for use of braai facilities is ridiculous. If, after more than 20 years of traveling around for sports and family visits, you describe a place as "the worst place I've ever stayed", there is definitely something wrong. R1600 for 2 nights where there was literally only sleeping. The hotel (with much nicer facilities) is R250 a night! Stay there instead. Really a waste of R800 a night. Disappointing.
