Enjoyed being together as a family. But the house only had two teaspoons for 12 people. No satellite TV although advertised. Yard and patio furniture needs a good cleaning. Cigarette butts and bottle caps. Scuff marks on walls. Dusty corners. Leaking basin.

We all enjoyed the activities that were available to us and for some, it was to just relax. 100% Great. Only downside of the weekend was the load shedding, it was really too much, but not the venue's fault.

"Less pleasant stay."

I myself am a host in Knysna and here is my opinion of our stay. The building is very old and all around the house holes have been dug and not filled up again. The grass grows through most of the paving and looks pretty untidy. There were tree leaves everywhere and under the canopy had not been swept for a long time. The geysers were not on and we had to go and find the DB board ourselves. The gate opener didn't work and I had to drive all the way back for another one (8 kilometers). The furniture is old and dilapidated. I had to pay a R2500-00 deposit without there being a list for which I had to sign. The owner or letting agents think everyone is a bunch of scumbags, but were very nice and at least tried to help us. The house's rental amount is definitely not worth the money and all that was nice was the pool after the hot day.

We were quite satisfied with the house overall, clean inside, and spacious. Outside needs a lot of maintenance. Pool should have been cleaned and back washed before we checked in. But we enjoyed our stay.

It actually felt like home away from home. Beautiful spacious neat house. The deck and the view was the highlight for me. The kids enjoyed the clean pool. Overall had a lovely stay at the home. Will definitely book again. Thank you.

The house is very spacious and lovely. Pool was thoroughly enjoyed. Enough entertainment to keep adults and kids busy, efficiently equipped, just missed a few things. We do however feel it was not cleaned thoroughly, the stoep was not cleaned, outside tables and chairs were dirty. Games room was not cleaned at all, tennis table and floor was not cleaned. Dining table did not have the table cloth as in the pictures. I would recommend adding more kitchen towels and cloths. Another better mop and broom. There was soy sauce on the kitchen counter with bugs in, so we were a bit sceptical about the other items left there like the teabags. Dart board had no darts. Light to the fishing deck did not work. We would also recommend bathroom mats for to keep floor dry when showering, was a bit difficult with the one mop, and no bathroom mats in front of the showers. The safety concern we had was that we could not securely lock the gate between the carport and the entrance door, that could make the safety a bit better. The dassies on the roof kept some of the guests awake, not sure if there is something you can do about that. No hand sanitiser, but we did bring our own. The early checkout of 10am made the Sunday morning a bit of a rush, would be nice to have a later checkout time. This is a lovely home away from home, breakaway with fun for kids, fishing deck and big braai for dads, and relaxing time for moms. We will definitely recommend this house to others, and will definitely visit again.

Our stay was nothing short of amazing. The place was perfect. The location was amazing waking up to the view of the river having all sorts of entertainment just there. The house was big enough even to accommodate our stresses of social distancing. I have posted some pictures and videos on Facebook and people cannot stop asking about this place. Will definitely be back there.
