Second time at AfriCamps at Oakhurst, first time staying at the Africamps. It is a beautiful place for kids and adults to enjoy. The Africamps would be perfect if there were microwaves in them. They were willing to make a plan to let us have a microwave for the stay, which was a lovely gesture. Overall, this place is so well-kept and everyone is very friendly. Love this place.

Absolutely amazing. Service was fantastic from the moment we arrived. Ordered the food baskets and it was delicious. Tent was very clean and neat, and the hot tub was great!

Lovely getaway! We loved the silence, scenery and beautifully furnished tent. The hot tub was lovely especially after a nice hike to the waterfall. From the moment you drive into the farm you feel the tranquility that overwhelms you. It was delicious and we come back again and again! The manager and staff are very helpful and friendly.

Had all that it needs. Peaceful. Love the cows and the animals. Great for walks. And the jacuzzi is a bonus. Perhaps a bit more info regarding the monkeys. The monkey door they have doesn't really keep the monkeys away. They still get in. But they did give us a good laugh. We're animal lovers though, but for families with children it may not be so appealing.

The pool was great and in the shade, all facilities are well looked after. It was clean. We loved it. The farm is very beautiful.

Friendly welcome. Cute little farm shop where we bought dinner. Arranged in advance that the "hot tub" should be ready upon our arrival. We could just get in and enjoy. The camp has everything your heart desires. We are not campers at all, but this one we would definitely do again. They get 10/10 from us.

The hot tub was a winner and the fireplace in the tent saved us from the cold. Wish we could stay longer. The farm is incredibly beautiful and we went for a lovely walk.

We had a very nice stay with you. Just 2 things, the tripod's "handle" is a bit short for the barbecue and last point, it would be good if Oakhurst let guests know to bring extra towels, it's getting to winter now and towels get hard to dry, but we'll definitely come back again

I would recommend the walk to the waterfall, we completed it with ease with a 5 year old.

The farm walking route is the ideal day activity. Perfect for couples or families who love the outdoors and farm life. The farm shop is very well equipped and the location is ideal for other activities in Hoekwil and Wilderness.

The only problem is the spout in the wash basin sticks out and you bump your head when using the tap, otherwise all good thank you. I am not complaining but thought to bring it to your attention.

To whom it may concern,. So after booking our anniversary at Africamps Wilderness we left feeling quite disappointed. We only booked for one night as we are in the hospitality industry and cant get away as much. Being from George we are quite aware of establishments and their standards in the area and unfortunately Oakhurst did not live up to those standards. No complementary coffee, sugar and milk as promised. It was a nice sunny day but we could not sit on the deck as no umbrellas are provided. No fire starters and no wood (had to pay extra for everything). Asked for the hot tub to be started before arrival and was told and charged R250 extra for that but we agreed. A bag of wood cost R60. What happened to customer service?. Early check out this morning. As i said we are in hospitality and i could not have a shower as the geyser didnt work just to find that the fridge also didnt work and everything was defrosted in the freezer. So i get photos from the hosts with two pieces of crockery that broke because we left the tent flaps open on departure. My reply was that i was waiting for Africamps for a follow up mail so i could tell them how disappointed we were. Page was the person i spoke to and she made it clear that they were not liable for equipment not working and that we should have contacted them. I would never stay at Africamps again and are very willing to pay for the two pieces that got broken by the monkeys. Kind Regards. Wern.
