Good service, location. Rooms clean and tidy. Good value for money. WiFi struggled at first but then settled nicely.
The price was way too high for what you get. Place didn't feel or look clean. Two guests in the room and 1 towel. Closets contain bedding from previous guests.
When I checked in they gave me a room without aircon when I told them I had booked a room with aircon then they moved me. Gave my remote for gate not working so I had to exchange it but no one at reception. Bell rang more than 3 times no service, when I called someone came first. Then they gave me another remote and it didn't work either, then they opened it when I came back I should have called again. Receptionist not friendly, almost like they are doing you a favor to help you.
We were very well accommodated especially regarding the children. Everyone felt very safe. Accommodation was clean and tidy and the staff made it extra nice. Nothing was a problem for them!

The room was neat and clean upon my arrival. There were 2 bottles of water in the fridge, 1 soap, 1 shampoo, and 1 body lotion in the bathroom which I already used on the first day of my two day stay. When I arrived at the guest house on the second night, none of the amenities had been put back in place. Fortunately, I still had soap left over. I also went to the pool on the second night, but the area around the pool and even the pool was unkempt. The second night when I showered there were 3 or 4 bugs in the shower that I managed to drown. After showering, I found a similar bug running around the room, which I then sprayed with bug poison. I don't think I will use African Roots again. No air conditioning in the room. No hairdryer in the room. I called in advance about the hairdryer and was told there was, I went to ask at reception, and one was then given to me.
Would definitely book here again.
