There are 10 rustic chalets situated on the upper banks of the ‘Dieprivier’ river course. Each chalet is equipped with air-conditioning, 2 three-quarter beds, side tables with lamps, a fan, an en-suite shower room with a basin and mirror, and a separate toilet separated by a solid door. Each chalet features a solid upstairs deck with a verandah and chairs, an ideal spot for stargazing at night, or even sleeping under the stars.
The campsites are situated along the lower ‘Dieprivier’ river course in the shade of large Acacia trees, surrounded partially by a wooden pole barrier acting as a wind shield and offering some privacy. They are terraced and levelled with clean river sand. Each site offers a free-standing tap, washing-up facility, a braai area with grid, and a 12-volt energy saving light that can be attached to your car battery. Each campsite is within walking distance to shared ablution facilities. The communal ablution facilities are spacious, and hot water is provided by wood boilers every afternoon at 17h00. Each gender facility has 6 showers, 6 basins, 3 toilets, 4 mirrors and 1 bath.
The main camp buildings comprise a cosy bar, a restaurant, and a large viewing deck for sunsets. There is also a swimming pool for guests to enjoy. Apart from the opportunity to relax and unwind in idyllic surroundings, Agama River Camp is an ideal base for exploring 2 of the most dramatic and beautiful areas in Namibia, the iconic red dunes of Sossusvlei and the mountain scenery, flora and fauna of Naukluft Mountain Park.

9 guests' feedbackPleasant place, busy with major upgrades, but it didn't bother. Kitchen and staff are excellent, food of good quality but slightly on the expensive side.
We had a wonderful stay and ate well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Sorry we didn't know in advance about the intensive construction going on. We might still have stayed there, but at a discounted price.
We were never notified that they were building so on arrival we had to ask a labourer sleeping on our veranda to please move. Everywhere we walked there was building going on until 7 at night and then at 7 in the morning. The food was great, as was Belinda who was shocked that we were not given the option to cancel as other guests were. We only stayed one night as two would have been unpleasant. Belinda promised us a refund of the one night. It is very expensive per night.
Very good accommodation, everything according to the website.
We were a family group of 8 adults and 1 child under 1 year camping. Excellent campsite with plenty of shade. Ablution facilities are beautiful and clean. Swimming pool a lafenis. Would love to stay here again.
Our reception was very friendly and the office staff were extremely helpful - I was able to make a phone call from the office at no extra charge. The camping spot that was allocated to us (no 6) was really small and the forest wagon could hardly be turned. The grounds were swept/raked daily and the fire place was cleaned. However, the bathrooms were disappointing. It needs a serious coat of paint and the shower floors are raw cement. Generally not clean. The stay was also pleasant.
Everything was in place, the service good and the environment breathtaking.
Sights such as Sossusvlei nearby, take care of cash. Very central in remote nice part.
