92 guests' feedbackA very cute place right by the sea. Unfortunately, our guests above us made it a bit unpleasant. It takes all kinds of people to make the world go round. There are also just too many people bothering you for money. Just walk in while you sit and eat. So just lock your security door when it gets dark. Too bad Lambertsbaai has been affected like this. I would recommend Albatross, but unfortunately not Lambertsbaai.

Holiday to the West Coast and Northern Cape.
The place is across the street from the sea. Down the bank is a footpath to a small bay. The unit is nicely furnished to enjoy a holiday in.
We had a nice stay, it was only for one night. I would suggest they could upgrade a bit and beautify. Towels were already old.

No, the place was not cleaned well. The shower is full of mold, there was still old cooked food in the fridge, and the bed is small. My feet were dangling.

We were kindly received and had a wonderful stay and rest. Everything was within walking distance and we had the most beautiful sea view. Everything was in good and clean condition and really couldn't fault anything.
Comfortable one bedroom apartment. Was a little worried about the vehicle outside overnight, but there is a security guard watching. Keep load shedding in mind.
Just one night was too short to enjoy the beautiful town and accommodation. The hostess was so nice and we had a wonderful stay.

Owners come to welcome and help with check-in. Albetross was indeed located with a beautiful sea view from the living area. Clean and comfortable. Car stays in the street in front of the apartment, we had no problems. It was a pleasant stay for one night.
People come at 22h00 to order food and walk around cars. Other than that, no complaints. Safety is a big issue.
Great place to spend a weekend with the sea on your doorstep.
There was no safe parking, you couldn't dare go out on the porch or walk on the beach without being mobbed by beggars. Unsafe, couldn't even braai in braai facilities.
The location was perfect, but for the rest extremely poor. On the last day of our stay, we wanted to barbecue but couldn't because of the sewage stench throughout our place, so we had to look for a restaurant to eat at the last minute. We had to call each time to say that the sewer was backing up right at our only door. The stench was unbearable! If the owners know this is a regular problem, they should arrange for the tank to be emptied more frequently during busy holiday seasons. The first time is still excusable, but not the second time. I have pictures to prove how disgusting the experience was. Would I recommend Albatross to anyone? Definitely not.
The sliding door and gate can see it be broken into a few times. The screwdriver marks of the incident are still very visible on the door. We hardly slept the night. Decided not to spend 2nd night. The place smells of mould. The bathroom has mould on the walls and the shower is even worse. There's a carport in the bedroom full of sand and as old as my grandmother.

Nice and tidy apartment, friendly hostesses. Only the street hawkers who keep bothering you at the door. No secure parking. Car is parked in front of the unit in the street. No security.
Was very nice, would have been better and more reassured if there was a safer place for vehicle. There is also no aircon or fan.

Albetros' management did offer alternative accommodation when we wanted to pack up and look for another place and we are very grateful for that, but I don't think Lamberstbaai will see us again anytime soon. At Albetros, the vehicles park in front of the street and every now and then someone knocks on your door who wants to sell you a rogue lobster or something. Some have no end and arrive there again at 9h or 10h. The braai is also at the front on the street side and this again has its own challenges with the people wandering in the street. For us it felt as if one could not really relax and enjoy the sea. A fence in front might help one to enjoy the view and sea in peace. The kitchen/living room is spacious enough, as is the room & bathroom. Everything was very clean. The wifi was non-existent at times. The signal was off more than on and very frustrating for those of us who might want to use it. Later we only used our data. The alternative accommodation for the 1 night also had no WiFi.
I did not feel safe with the movement of people in the street. Security gate just on one side of glass door.

What was very noticeable was that the guests did not bother each other in any way in terms of noise etc. not. I will definitely come again and definitely recommend to other people (which I have already done). Albatross is tops.

It was kid friendly and had everything we wanted. The apartment was comfortable and homely.
We have been going to Lamberts Bay for 10 years. This time our visit was not pleasant at all. The first night after we had driven 1000 km and were tired, there was a bunch above us who had no respect for others. It only calmed down at 2 o'clock the next morning and we could sleep. The second night new guests above us, it was a nightmare. No sleep again! This went on for 3 nights. At least we could sleep peacefully on the last night of our stay. There was no discipline or rules. I really feel so disappointed with our stay. Yes, you don't know who your neighbors will be when you are on holiday, but really this holiday was a circus.
The apartment was recently upgraded. Everything is basically new with fantastic facilities for a family that wants to prepare their own food. The furniture, cutlery and bedding are all superb. The only problem I encountered is that my car had to be parked in front of the apartment just off the street. That's why I only gave safety three stars.

Lambertsbaai is a very quiet area and there is perhaps too little to do for people to really visit the area for more than 2 days.
Not a lot of kitchen utensils and cookware and serving bowls. TV very small. Parking in the street which is not very safe.
The host was amazing. Will definitely return. When we got lost she met us at the closet petrol station and upgraded our apartment as the weather was a bit cold for an outside braai. The apartment has everything you need. It's clean and was perfect for 2 people.
The place is very clean and beautiful, enough for 2 people, nice big shower with strong water flow and enough hot water! The kitchen has everything you need in the sense of pots and pans, knives and forks, etc., but bring all your own spices like salt and pepper because there is no such thing at all.

We really enjoyed the lovely view of the sea from the lounge, as well as being able to go for walks on the beachfront. The apartment was really clean and comfortable, although we felt uneasy with a number of beggars and sellers loitering around. Our hostess went out of her way to make us welcome.
Our first time in Lambertsbaai and what a surprise - wonderful sea view with waves crashing all the time. Unfortunately we had to come back early due to earlier births of a grandchild. We had to lock up as we are on the ground floor and often heard people knocking on the windows. A bag of wood was also stolen from the braai. Next time we will stay on the top floor. We definitely recommend it for someone looking for a quiet getaway.
Our stay was very pleasant, the weather was perfect for the short getaway. There are a couple of very decent coffee shops within walking distance. The view is perfect, the sunsets worth photographing!

Unit 1 is very comfortable and tidy inside, but will not spend the night there due to the fact that the unit is directly on the street and bothers the street walkers a lot. I was in Unit 6 and definitely recommended. Very satisfied with Hester's service and she is very professional and friendly.

We spent the night on our way to Cape Town. It's very neat and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The best part was that it is on the beach. It was nice to have the surf on your doorstep.

Parking was initially a concern as we could only park in the street. Was very grateful where arrangements were made for more secure parking. Electric blankets would have been a helpful addition as it was quite cold. Felt that the shower area could have been somewhat cleaner. But I enjoyed the stay and will definitely stay there again. Reception was good.

Our units are self-catering so cleaning during stay is not included, however it can be arranged if needed and if possible. Extra fees might apply.Braai equipment is given and we do have a few iron pots available on request.
We have baby baths and a camping cot available if needed.
Functions are permitted by arrangement, the building is ideal for family reunions, but unruly behavior and/or disturbances are not allowed. No loud music or boom boxes, but soft music is allowed until 10pm.
Pets are welcome on arrangement, but we prefer to know what type and how many before hand, so we're able to prepare.
We ask guests not to smoke or use smoking products/devices in our units, we have ash trays stationed outside.
