34 guests' feedbackToilet was not flushing well. Dog mess on the lawn as you come in. No privacy in rooms, see-through curtains on windows. Lacks personal touch from manager, appliances old, stove not functioning properly. A bit too expensive.
Nieu-Bethesda is definitely worth a once in a lifetime visit, restaurants are top quality, the Owl House is informative, Kitchings fossil center is interesting, Jakob's donkey cart rides are a must. The Sneeuberg Brewery should also be visited, as well as the various galleries and cemetery. Unfortunately, Aunt Evelyn's famous eatery was not open.
Beautiful surroundings. The town is neglected.
Friendly reception. Very nice stay. New Bethesda should be on every SA traveller's bucket list. Spend a full day or 2.
Excellent. Just found light switch above bed too high. Also no bedside table.
Alleman's House is beautiful. Clean. Good beds and linen. The kitchen has the basic necessities. However, the hot water was lukewarm rather than hot.
Could do with an upgrade on the kitchen appliances, a microwave oven would also be great.
As a sleeping place OK. No services provided.
Something from the past that we miss but can get back at New Bethesda. There are more horses on the street, like a farm.
Beautiful NG Church. Would have liked to attend service but there was a funeral service. Worth a visit. Visited Helen Martins museum, well maintained, friendly staff. Wonderful that the museum is open on Saturday afternoons and Sundays. Friendly owner at Bierproe, delicious food. Donkey cart ride through town did not take place. Cemetery visit. I parked my car and walked everywhere. See so much more on foot. Slept one night. Time was too short to do anything. Very clean town.

We were warmly greeted and welcomed by Katherine who oriented us about Nieu Bethesda. We were very happy with the location which is walking distance to most attractions. The water took some time to warm up and while okay for a shower in summer, it may not be the best for winter. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if revisiting the town.
The cottage is very old but very well equipped. Central and wonderfully cool during a heat wave. Affordable and excellent hospitality.
Small, cute house for one or two people, clean white bedding and so is the rest.
The door lock is as such, that anyone can unscrew it from the outside. The curtain is a loose sheet that does not cover the window. The towels feel as hard as door mats. Fortunately we had our own.
Nice and spacious and beautiful, luxurious and close to everything.
The gate was not locked and the fridge could not close due to the ice hockey that was tackled. We never got to see the owner/host.

Accommodation was not at all what I expected. Everything was quite clean, but extremely inconvenient, e.g. no bedside table or place to hang clothes. Bedding was clean and nice and warm. Glad I only stayed 1 night.
A very worthwhile destination, with Unusual attractions in terms of art, culture, fossils and the local population.
Nice, just didn't expect that they would also rent out the lawn in front of our house for a group of people to pitch their tent.

Shower water didn't get hot at all and it didn't live up to the value of the stay. Neat room and felt safe.

Nice overnight stay between Bloemfontein and Hartenbos.
The place was spotless with good quality bedding and mattresses (2 single beds). We had a great time and walked everywhere - the starry galaxy is amazingly bright and clear from the porch.
New Bethesda is a peaceful and beautiful place that everyone should experience at least once. The village also has a beautiful history about the "old days" of our people and all their facts and goats.
The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Bring a bike and stay for longer than a day.
