Very friendly and helpful service.
But the only challenge was the TV sets that were not working, and the bathroom taps in room 3 they need to be fixed. But all in all the services are good except for those minor challenges.
Very convenient for an emergency option. Location and security were very good.
WiFi doesn't catch all the time. A pesky rooster that starts crowing at 4 in the morning. Not enough toilet paper.
It was ok, except for the neighbours that couldn't stop barking.
Is good for sleeping over. Microwave and small fridge would be very handy.
The owner was very welcoming and friendly. The place was beautiful and clean.
Everything was just normal living. Peace of mind and friendly owners. Security is top-notch.
We booked two rooms. We had a whole space to ourselves. We were very well and kindly received by a pleasant and helpful host. Beds were clean and tidy. There were a few spider nests which give the impression that it was dusted thoroughly or daily. A nice cup of coffee in the morning makes guests easily forget about small problems. Amberlight, don't let little things like that leave a bad impression. On the contrary, it was a nice and pleasant stay. There are only small things that need work, but everything was perfect and we enjoyed it.

Door handle to the shower was broken, the basin had no plug and shower nozzle missing.
But was a little disappointed in the apartment itself, even though it was very neat and clean and the bed very comfortable, there were things that were missing, such as a microwave and glasses in the kitchen. As well as a mirror in the bathroom.
I'm from Mpumalanga and stayed overnight on Friday night to get closer to cycling next morning. Met our needs 100%. Owner very hospitable and helpful - made an effort to buy tea especially for me. Also, the braai was cleaned us and brought the roast tongs out of his house for us to braai.
Our group booked the whole house. We were very well and kindly received by a pleasant and helpful host. Beds were clean and tidy. Some rooms had a few spider nests which gave the impression that they had not been cleaned for a long time. Coffee creamer (Cremora) was kept in one room in an old, sour-onion bottle which made the coffee taste very bad. The people knew about the problem, so this is unacceptable. A nice cup of coffee in the morning makes guests easily forget about small problems. Come on Amberlight, don't let little things like that leave a bad impression.

The apartment could accommodate six people in beds. The self service facilities were good and a braai lapa is available next to the swimming pool. I would definitely visit the guesthouse again if the need arises.
Would recommend that the smoke smell that hung in the room, is removed because it is unpleasant. Besides that, it is a nice place.
We were upgraded to a larger room at no extra cost. Bathroom neat and modern but decor needs an upgrade. As we are not smokers the underlying smell of smoke put us off tremendously. I would have been unhappy if we had paid R800 per night for the room in question but since we have R400 I can't complain.
A few things that bother you, but for the amount I paid I probably can't complain.
Two rooms booked. At half past one in the morning, our other guests came to knock us awake to let us know that they were driving now because of bed bugs. We then continued to try to sleep while listening to the rats in the roof. Next morning we left early to a shower with a broken door.
Amberlight was able to help us at short notice and we were surprised how nice and tidy it was. Service friendly and helpful.
Amberlight's service was excellent, even when we checked in late. The room was clean, comfortable and the surroundings so peaceful. My parents thoroughly enjoyed spending the night there.

I enjoyed myself with my partner however the TV was not working, when I asked I was told they are still waiting for a decoder.
Had a great time, the place was too clean, the kitchenette was available as promised and the customer service was also on par - except for one day when we requested for the room to be cleaned while we went to the shops for a good 2 hours and we came back to a dirty room. Nonetheless, it was not a train smash. They can change towels and provide cleaning soap for the bathtub.
Lovely and quiet. Wish it had been warmer to have a dip in the pool. Had an upgrade to a unit.
No TV in room. Walls and bedding not the best, cigarette brand on sheet and dirty overthrow. (Sorry don't know what you call it in Afrikaans) Wall plugs not sufficient and difficult to work with wall plug so it was difficult to plug in mobile phone to charge. Kettle can also be cordless instead to facilitate filling. The bathroom tiles above the door frame and shower were very dirty. I'm sure they can clean it with a mop or broom and cloth, but like I say if I pay more I can expect better. Needed a cheap place to sleep and that's what I got. Oh and one more thing the Saturday morning there was a knock on the door and I was told my time was up I had to leave the room to which I upset I said I had booked and paid until Sunday 10am. The ramp can also be dangerous for cars, there is a high wall at the gate. Thank you very much for your arrangements. I believe I will use you again in the future.
The website doesn't show the reality. Owner wasn't aware of our stay after many emails before we arrived. Unprofessional reception.
Bedding had fat stains on, no TV in the room, towels unravelling, tiles in bathroom still dirty, basin pedastil still had the price tag on, this place it not worth it.
Would definitely recommend Amerlight Guest Accommodation, but the owners would have to work on keeping things like tea and fresh milk for coffee and tea and not just powdered milk. At some of the other guest houses where I have been, it was available. Would also recommend keeping a pocket size shampoo and hand cream in the bathrooms as well. Apart from the above it was a pleasant stay.
I am a musician and travel a lot. The room was adequate but not the two single beds. We would have preferred to have a double bed. The space is quite limited in the room we stayed in, but it was sufficient for a night's rest.

The place is dirty, especially the kitchen and sitting room which was occupied by permanent tenants. Tenants sleep on couches in the sitting room with TV at high volume. They leave the door unlocked during the night.
Everything looks great in the pictures, but the reality is that there are many problems. How can my car be safe if I can just push the gate open. My room door's lock is broken so I didn't feel safe, owner promised he would fix it but I slept 3 nights with broken lock. I had to use a piece of clothing the first night to dry off and buy a towel the next day because there are no towels in the bathroom. There are no dish towels in the kitchen. The TV's decoder is taken away and owner comes to turn on the TV on request, he takes the batteries out of the remote because he says people steal it. Not all light screens have a 'globe' in them. I will never use Amberlight again!
There is a lot to be improved to bring this facility on standard. It doesn't have baths, but showers which are not preferred by woman folk.
Unpleasant and uncomfortable. Bad service from the "manager". Bed was due for a replacement 20 years ago. Entire guesthouse needs a coat of paint and new linen. Shower drenches everything except the person who's trying to take a shower. Had to call manager at 23:15 and ask him to turn down his loud music so we could try and get some sleep. I'm sorry, nog positive feedback from my side.
We stayed here as we needed to be near a hospital. Being from another province the safety was quite an issue, none of the doors lock, I felt very scared, the electric fence is in no working order, the gate does not lock, the door to the pool (dirty) is broken, the other guest that we shared with's door was broken and she moved her furniture in front at night for safety. the decoder gets taken away - as the batteries of the remotes? No cutlery and plastic spoons, also not amenities such as coffee/tea etc. No bedlamps in the rooms - these are on the photos, but not in the rooms. The bathrooms is so small and water squirting out of pipes wetting the whole floor. the one glass I used had 6 chips. the cupboards are dirty in the inside and some rooms have no doors to the cupboards. The owner booked in another guest at 22:30 at night, walking past our room, which was quite strange.I feel robbed and very unhappy about this place, as we paid upfront, we felt obliged to stay, but I will never make the same mistake. What you see is definitely not what you get. I have photos.
The owners are building the place up. I feel when everything is finished it will be a nice little place, although at this stage it should not be a first choice for visitors. Not all cutlery was present in our room, lights not working, pool pump not working, braai facilities not yet completed, TV not working, bedding is outdated, electric fence not working at all, security gate has to be pushed open by itself and only closes with a lock. Owners are making an effort to fix the place, but I feel that it should be completed before guests are checked in.
If this facility is taken care of, it can be a much better place to visit.
Very unprofessional. Not very clean. Ambiance very off-putting. It does not warrant any stars for any category listed. Location is the exception.
We have really enjoyed the stay. Improvement needed on the cleanliness of the carpets as some of us have sinuses. Though our car was safe but would have appreciated for it to have been parked in the vacant garage.
The place was very neat and clean. Just missed a mirror in the room. Was difficult to blow hair.
