Amity Guest House is well located near many shopping centers and restaurants. Units are well equipped with everything one needs. It even has an aircon - which is a bonus on Bloem's hot summer days. The shower head in no. 8 squirts outside the shower and then soaks the bathroom floor. Other than that we had a very nice stay and would happily recommend it.

The two bedroom unit is quite cramped and the shower doors keep falling off their tracks. Already showered in cleaner showers. There are cutlery, but not even a cloth to wash your cups or a drying towel.
Plugs did not work through evening. Couldn't charge the phone at all for a long way back. Shower walls dirty, but als was clean. Parking very narrow for SUV. Had to share a bed because there weren't 3 separate beds to sleep on. Traveled with my 19-year-old son and my Mother. You could hear the person who lived next to us physically. She also coughed us all awake and could hear everything.
We asked nicely, we are looking for 2 rooms because we are 3 adults and only got 1 room with a double bed and a single bed. There was no outside light and obs had to move outside in the dark. No water in the fridge or milk in the room.
Marjeanne went out of her way to have snacks and pasta ready for us after traveling over 1000 km from Cape Town. Spacious room with everything you need. Delicious breakfast.

The place lacks maintenance and didn't like people letting their dogs sleep together in rooms at all. Shower head was broken and space in the master bedroom with kitchen area was terribly cramped.
The stay was great. The fact that our 3 dogs were welcome was a real bonus. We were done because we are moving and have had an extremely stressful few weeks. We had a great rest and were ready for the next stage of the road.

The hostess went out of her way to accommodate us. There is a large garden with a swimming pool and plenty of seating. Furthermore, there is a common lounge where you can hang out. This room is ideally suited for people who only want to sleep over for a night.

Bathroom of room 10 stinks. Trash bin had not been cleaned from previous visitors. Wi-Fi doesn't work. TV tuned to only one channel. Looks like no attention was paid to this room before we checked in.
We didn't have hot water early in the morning.
The hostess was very kind and received us earlier than we were supposed to check in. Unfortunately, the photos I booked on the web and the actual room differed so drastically I was shocked. We only slept there one night and not two. Although it was neat it is very dilapidated. There wasn't even a rug in front of the toilet and the toilet bowl fell off the wall. The shower was impossible to regulate. The sheets has a spot on them. Very sorry about the experience.
We were received with very little hospitality. The stay would have been much better if there weren't so many problems. Free WiFi didn't work. Had to remove filters from air conditioning because it was so dusty for someone who is allergic to dust it was unbearable. The bathroom door handle was broken. There was too little coffee and milk put out for our 3 day stay. We had 1 roll of toilet paper, of which there was also too little, we had to ask for more. There was also no potable water put out for us.
We were kindly received, given a choice of 2 rooms. Safe parking and safe place. Neat, clean and comfortable. Will visit Amity Guest House again and also recommend.

We as a family slept comfortably and conveniently. It is pleasant, beautiful and comfortable and would recommend sleeping over there.
The aircon made such a noise, we couldn't sleep and it was too hot to turn it off (rattling, vibrating noise all night), toilet was leaking badly, water all over the floor, toilet spray bottle didn't work. The breakfast was just put in front of us with no request of egg preference, the poached eggs were so hard, we battled to swallow them. No jam or marmalade. Greasy sausages. Manager nowhere to be seen.
Grateful for the stay, but our rooms were not clean. Will not book there again.
I did the booking for my sister who is moving to the Cape. She had 3 kids so the place was ideal. They were very happy with the accommodation and the safety. They will definitely recommend the guest house. I'm so glad Home-from-Home was able to help us at such short notice. You are just so cute!

The house and family room were tidy, in good condition. Nice and private but with a large garden area. We were able to drop off our bags at 12:00 even though the rooms were not quite ready yet. It worked very well with our children in the family room.

Friendly reception and rooms were neat. Pool was full of algae though. The shower tiles in the shower's grout were black with mold. I just suggest that pool and bathrooms get more attention. We were 4 adults who stayed 2 nights. There was only coffee for 3 guests the first day and the coffee was not refilled and I had to ask the hostess to refill it.

The place was neglected and untidy. Breakfast was not the best. Showering in cold water was no pleasure at all for the duration of our stay (4 days). Room very cramped. Shower lacked good scrubbing - old soap was caked in shower, you could hear every movement in rooms next door.

We needed water for the kettle and to drink, because there was a note that said we can't use the tap water. If you were traveling the whole day, a cup of coffee or tea would be nice and water to swallow your pills. The garden was stunning. Everything was clean and neat. We didn't know if we were allowed to have breakfast.

Host is very friendly and helpful. The room is beautiful and spacious. The bathroom is on the smaller side regarding room to move in. Safety is what is expected of the city. Shopping centres are close by to quickly grab something to eat. There is a microwave in the room to heat something up. Remember to take your own drinking water. The water at the accommodation is not safe for drinking. We forgot clothes in the cupboard and the cleaner gave it to the host for safe keeping, we are very grateful for that.

We got to the gate where there was no answer to the doorbell. Was there at 14:15. I had to make calls to gain access. The room was not ready and was still being worked on after we had already occupied it. No person received us and provided information about the functioning of facilities. Guest house front door and door to pool were left unlocked all night - rooms in house did not have keys and security was therefore a big risk. Hot breakfast was served without being informed in advance how it would be preferred (Eggs, bacon etc.)

It is a very nice guest house. Very clean and tidy with a beautiful garden. We sat outside under the shade of trees for hours drinking coffee when we got there. The hostess Jean Mari is very friendly and helpful. Although it was only one night, it was everything we needed on our journey home. Will definitely stay there again.
