The property met our basic requirements, namely safe, clean overnight facilities for 1 night. The room was neat with a very nice view. The communal pool and braai area is very nice, although we didn't use it. The host and hostess were friendly. Please invest. in glass jars for the kitchen. We couldn't find any glasses to drink water or soft drinks from, nor wine glasses if someone wanted to enjoy wine. There were only plastic beer garden cups and plastic children's glasses that did not fit together and had also seen better days. If the property is marketed as "self-catering", please call turn on the fridge so that guests can keep their cold drinks, ice cream or food cool. During our stay the fridge was off and the doors were open in the communal kitchen. Call please in new/better pillows - the pillows we slept on were completely mushy and slept through. There were also only 3 pillows provided for the double bed.
The whole experience was not nice, no clean water, no air conditioner and also it's not neat and clean.

Magda is a great host, unfortunately the place was very far from my workplace which is why I had to move but I would have stayed the whole month. Great hosts and people. Lovely view as well.

The problem I encountered was that there was no water to shower, we had to add water to bathe and there was no toilet water either. There were jugs of water set out to use for bathing and toilet use. If they had said this in advance I would not have broken the place and paid so much and not even got a discount on it.
Very tasty. Was pleasantly surprised. Very neat and stylish accommodation. Quiet and peaceful.

The guests who also slept there were just very noisy.
We got there in the dark and the lighting at the stairs where we had to walk down was very poor. The tiles on the floor of the room were very dirty. The TV channels are limited to just three channels with very poor reception at that. The room does not have its own kettle, but it does have coffee and sugar. Guests don't want to step outside early in the morning to make coffee in the communal kitchen!
The host was very friendly and accommodating, the facilities were very nice, neat and clean. Ample parking, wonderful views, was a very nice place for our social group. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly make use of them again. The only downside for us was the braai was for only charcoal and we would have preferred wood. But overall it's an amazing place with a great host and we fully enjoyed our stay.
The service was good and everything was clean. Lovely view but the TV was limited to 3 TV channels which is a bit frustrating when you have nowhere to go.
Although it was a bit expensive for the room because we only stayed overnight.

No pressure in showers, self-catering kitchen fully equipped and complete. Water sometimes not hot. Not adequate signs at all to indicate the location, not adequate corridor lights.
We found the lighting insufficient, kitchen ill equipped and badly situated outside the chalet, too many stairs for elderly guests and coffee station had plastic glasses and no kettle.
My kids loved the place. There was enough space for my children to sleep. The owner was welcoming and made us feel at home. I would not think twice when I need a place to sleep in Krugersdorp. Arek's Place is a home from home.

It was home away from home. We were kindly welcomed by the owner and helped to get home. He was constantly helpful during our 12 day stay. It is a clean and safe accommodation close to shops. View is very nice.

We were welcomed very kindly. There was plenty of space for my child to play. It is a good and safe area, close to everything in Krugersdorp.
We were at a wedding close to Arek's Place, but for the time we were there we enjoyed it. The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful, would really recommend it.

Arek gave us a friendly welcome in the very large apartment layout (we were 4 adults with one teenager). The view was wonderful and one of the quietest places one can imagine. But the reason why I would not recommend it (for now) is because all 3 beds of linen were full of stains, the dishes of the previous people were not washed (we had to do it), it's a self-catering unit with just 2 knives and a plastic teaspoon. There was enough of the other cutlery. Towels were still on the floor, there was no toilet paper, the place was full of dust and spider webs, and there is no real privacy. There are cameras outside on the veranda (which I can understand for safety reasons), but there are cameras inside the house, in the lounge as well. We brought the problems to Arek. Hope the next guests have a more pleasant experience.
We booked the largest unit with three bedrooms, a large lounge and a large dining room, but the kitchen is separate and very small that you have to share with all the other rooms. There is a very small fridge and a stove with two hobs that switch on and off all the time. There are the minimum goods in the cupboards that weren't enough just for our unit, nevermind all the other people. If one asks the owner for literally anything, he says he can not help because he is just a manager after introducing himself as the owner. He is terribly rude and just walks into your place whenever he wants to. He was of no help and was rude when we asked for toilet paper when we ran out of it. We lit a small fire and he came to tell us that we had to finish by 10 o'clock and please put our lights out. It's a very nice place and the other workers were very friendly. If there is a new owner, we can try again, but while this person is still in control, I will not recommend it to anyone. He made it a very unpleasant weekend for all of us.
