84 guests' feedbackThe hostess of the annex was very friendly and really went out of her way for her guests. There were 5 extra things set out for guests. This was the ninth place we stayed and it was the first place that had so many extras for guests. There was even shower soap for sensitive skin.
I was treated like a princess and please booked again at the annex for April 5, 2024.
We had a very nice stay. Everything was clean and tidy. Our hostess was very friendly. Will definitely stay at the Art Deco Villas again.
The sleepover was a pleasant stay.
A sweet night's rest and a warm bed. That's all one needs on the road.
No fridge, no stove plate, no anything regarding self catering. Just a kettle and some cups. The fancy looking shower did not offer a single drop of water. We were told they were full. Only one other vehicle, a double cab bakkie, was in the parking area.
The rooms were very cold, and the decor and cleanliness overall were not great.
We stayed in the Annex and it was a very good experience after a long day of driving. Quiet and peaceful and very tidy.

Simple comfortable accommodation. Family unity is great. Nice kitchen and sitting/dining room. 2 large bedrooms with private bathrooms. Ideal for family who need to sleep over on the road.

If a barbecue facility is offered, it needs to be given. Buy a small stand or whatever. I booked this place because we like to barbecue at night. So we had Kentucky instead now because that was the only option.

Very disappointed, the facility was not worth the price of R900.00, it's a 1 room, no sink for dishes, the cupboard in which the plates are stored is dirty and the drawers are broken. Old pots, not at all to our liking.

We spent the night at Art Deco in a room with en-suite bathroom. The room does not have a kitchen but does have coffee and tea making facilities with a microwave oven and small fridge. There is also an outdoor braai and a cute patio area to sit. Art Deco is pretty neat and clean, and has secure covered parking.

This is a very well maintained property with lovely shade trees and very well maintained lawn. Since I'm quite short, my only problem with the bathroom sink is that it's too high. Maybe it would be better if it could be lowered into the box under the bowl.
We actually asked for the more modern room with teal floors and not plank floors. The electric blanket was a huge bonus!

The place is absolutely a good choice to spend the night if you travel. The entire unit is well equipped with the necessary items. The bathroom is unique with the impressive shower. You are very private. Even if you sit outside on the porch. The unit has its own braai facilities if you would like to braai. Even this is also private from the other units.
Loadshedding started at 6:00 p.m. We were not informed about it. A generator or gas stove and candles would also suffice. Couldn't make dinner or make coffee the next morning. It was bad, but that's criticism. I think Louis should pay attention to that.

It's an exceptional, spacious unit. Two bedrooms with a common kitchen, lounge and dining area. The rooms are just as spacious and each has its own bathroom. The 1 bathroom is complete and the other bathroom only has a shower. It was sufficient for our needs.

Louis was there to welcome us and explained how everything works, even Eskom's schedule. The room is very neat and has everything you need for an overnight stay - the electric blanket was very welcome as it was cold.

We slept over at the main house section for 4. Very clean. The host, Louis, was very helpful. We found everything clean and prepared for our arrival despite the fact that we booked a day earlier. My wife remarked that the establishment deserved more starts. There were 2 more units adjacent to the house which looked new and well equipped. Each unit has a braai stand in front of it. There is secure parking in the yard behind the units. We will definitely stop again when we need to sleep over half way from the Cape.
I just would have liked it if there was a broom in the place, would have liked to sweep before we left the place.

We planned to have a barbecue but before leaving Kathu decided not to because of rain that was forecast for the area. Good decision it rained wonderfully. (We drove most of the time between Kathu and Jeffreys Bay in the rain. So happy for the farmers).

It was a wonderful experience for me to stay with Art Deco Villa. The outside lights as well as my bedside lights were switched on at night when I returned from my course to the unit. The bed and shower were of very good quality, which makes me a break or break. I will definitely use Art Deco Villa again.

Art Deco is well located about 1 km from the national road. It is located in a very quiet and peaceful area and not far from the business area. Our sincere thanks for having us as guests when we attended our family reunion over the Easter weekend. What was supposed to be a three day stay, was extended to five. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. They were very helpful, kind and we cannot thank them enough for their hospitality! But most of all. Four of us (two married couples) spent a lovely weekend in Middelburg. We had two en-suite bedrooms with an enormous living room in between at our disposal. We are readers and were surprised with the exceptional (and valuable) book collection (and CD collection) at our disposal. Unfortunately, there were no children in our group to enjoy the large, well-kept lawn! The neighborhood is quiet and we felt very safe (knowing that two alert Jack Russells are standing guard outside!). Louis is a host who lives the concept of "rural hospitality". He made sure we were comfortable and went out of his way to address our need for extra freezing facilities. The Karoo is cold in winter and the weekend was no exception. The abundance of hot water and underfloor heating in the bedrooms helped keep the cold at bay. We highly and unreservedly recommend Art Deco Villas and we wish Louis the best of luck with his venture.

I had a great stay at Art Deco Villas. Well appointed and well located. Very interesting shower and lovely soft linen on the bed. An electric blanket would have been the icing on the cake.
I drove down to Mossel Bay alone to join my family and was surprised to find such a beautiful, neat place in Middelburg. You never think to stay in Middelburg, but it is definitely worth it. Worth every penny and as a woman alone I felt very safe. It also helps a lot that there was a nice big freezer. Louise looked after me very well and spoiled me with Karoo chops and the most delicious sausage.
