We stayed here on our way to Cape Town. What a joy it was to walk into our room after six hours on the road with two cats in the car. The owners are so friendly and helpful, and the cleaning staff are very accommodating. I definitely recommend staying here!

Great overnight stay, easy and convenient and spacious.
Initially booked the other room, but due to the paint in that room we got the room that doesn't have a bathroom door. This was a bit of a problem for us.
Such a wonderful stay with the most hospitable and friendly hosts. A lovely pool and braai area as well as a pool table for the kids. Good value for money.

We have booked all three units at Arvella. Family unit, luxury unit and standard unit are all very neat and well furnished. We were received kindly and felt very much at home. Not self catering, no cutlery except coffee mugs. No place for self catering. This is an overnight guesthouse, not a stay for few days.

I can definitely recommend Arvella to any person or persons who need to stay a day or 3 in Bloemfontein for whatever reason. The Rosestad Hospital is close by if you are looking for a place to spend the night if a loved one needs to be admitted there. I just want to thank the entire Arvella team for the good service and delicious food served, especially the breakfast, world-winning omelettes. Definitely see you next time.

We arrived in the late afternoon, and were contacted in advance. We were welcomed and the room was very well equipped, neat and clean with every possible comfort at our disposal.
Arvella guesthouse is a perfect place, we had a wonderful holiday in Bloemfontein, everything was in place, the hosts are wonderful. Close to everything. The kids enjoyed their stay because the pool was their highlight.

We stayed in the family unit for three nights during the Christmas long weekend because the accommodation is located near my parents' house. The unit is cleaned daily and provided with clean towels. Welcome sherry as well as enough bottled water was provided. One negative was that although the rates stated that they included B&B, no breakfast was available or provided. On inquiry it was stated that there is no breakfast during December because they are struggling with staff. Although we understand that this is a possible inconvenient time (Christmas weekend) it would have been nice to know this in advance instead of having to make additional plans and costs in a hurry. Unit is conveniently located near the N1 highway and is convenient as an overnight stop for holidaymakers to the Cape.
