The place is a gem, the bush camp is away from any disturbance or noise and is absolutely clean and tidy. Will go again for sure. The friendly reception by the owner adds to the unique experience of space!

The place is really a very peaceful place and quite close to N1 one can get used to silence.
Was looking for a place to sleep from the Cape. Assendelft is close to the highway, so it's convenient to turn off. It's dead quiet at night and completely safe. I had a great stay and will stay there again.
Assendelft Lodge is tucked away very close to the N1, just about halfway between Beaufort West and Laingsburg. It's a great find! We were welcomed with the greatest hospitality, our hostess even lit a fire on our behalf and kept an eye on it during the stormy winds. She made sure that we were comfortable. We stayed in a well-equipped room with a lovely large shower with definite attention to detail. We could use the dining room and sit and eat there. Please note that the rooms are not self-catering units. There is a fridge and coffee station in the dining room. We will definitely go here again.

We were kindly welcomed after a long day's drive and immediately taken to our resting place. The forest camp creates a wonderfully peaceful, farm atmosphere, but is nevertheless particularly tidy with all facilities needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend this treasure to someone who wants to escape the hectic life.

The bush camp is comfortable and quiet.
Assendelft is the best overnight stop on the way to the Cape. They offer genuine Karoo hospitality with rooms that surpass a 5-star hotel. Friendly service and breathtakingly beautiful Karoo sunsets. Do yourself a favor and visit there.

The utilities cabinet contains cutlery, crockery, glassware and a gas single cooker with a kettle. Included in the chalet is an en suite bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet. At the entrance to each chalet is a built braai and seating area. The kitchen, which is only available to guests who stay for more than one night, is equipped with a gas double cooker, a fridge and sufficient cutlery, crockery, cookware and glassware. A double bowl sink is USB charging points is included. The Chalets, other structures and specific outdoor areas have solar powered lighting.
