Other attractions in the area include The Giant Camelthorn Tree which is about 500 to 600 years old, and the Verneukpan where Sir Malcolm Campbell tried, in Bluebird 1, to set a new world land-speed record in 1929.

Clean and tidy. Lindah and Lexi received us kindly. There was hand cream and shampoo in the neat and clean bathroom. I really enjoyed the stay. It is highly recommended.
Very friendly welcome. The fact that the town experienced water problems did not bother the Lodge at all. Very nice lapa where we barbecued and visited. We were surprised with a special home-baked bread! Thank you Linda! You are the best!
Linda received us with genuine hospitality and made us feel right at home. The accommodation is not luxurious, but you have everything you need. The building is full of character and interesting and a change from the newer, clinical overnight places where one normally stays.
Reception was friendly. Place was neat and clean. Our room had a mobile air conditioner which was not very effective. Value for money is 3.5 to 4 out of 5.

Lindah at De Oude Herberg in Kenhardt is a wonderful hostess that loves to share information about the town and surrounding area.
Stayed very nice, beds are good quality and bedding is clean. Kitchen is quite well equipped. Shower was a problem as there was no hot water when more than one shower was used. Very kindly received.

Good for an overnight stay on our way to Cape Town. We were welcomed warmly and our needs met. We recommend it.
We stayed here twice on the way to and back from the Kgalagadi. The accommodation is very good for the price (TV in the rooms, kettles and coffee, en-suite bathroom and safe parking). Perfectly clean, Linda's reception is very friendly and helpful (she arranged dinner in town for us too) and the mattresses are wonderful - it matters when you drive 800 km. Lovely warm bed and the warm shower was very nice after the day. Excellent breakfast. I will gladly stay here again and recommend it. It met our expectations as overnight accommodations, including the price.

Lindah surprised us with a cake and a song for my birthday at breakfast. It was definitely the icing on the cake. Will definitely stay here again.
Next to a dangerous neighbourhood, bed was a wooden box with a 5 cm thick mattress could not sleep, toilet in the room behind a flimsy screen, host claimed breakfast was not included and dinner separately paid for was sub standard. All in all the worst B&B I ever stayed in.
The lodge is very clean, tidy and comfortable. I will definitely recommend the Lodge to friends and family. Reception and staff very friendly and helpful.
