They were very accommodating to one person who was in a wheelchair and gave us another room that was available that was better suited for him. The rooms are neat and will stay there again when we are in Bredasdorp!
We would have also loved to book for more than 2 people in the future, if it was possible. We would love to have pool hours until 8pm instead of 6pm.
Accommodation was very clean and tidy. Staff was very friendly. We were a little upset when we got back to work in the morning and our parking was taken. Management may need to look into allocating parking to rooms.
The place was clean and very tidy.
Place is modern and beautiful however place had a damp and moldy smell. Bed was very uncomfortable. Mattress had no mattress protector on and i think its very important for hygiene purposes. Looked like someone slept in the bed before us as there was creases on sheet and crumbs in the bed. Very disappointed.
My partner very nicely asked that I convey her thanks for the wonderful service and facilities. Definitely our number one overnight spot in Bredasdorp. You guys are great!
The service we received from Bastion Quarters Guest House was wonderful. We arrived later than the given time and Bevan waited until we got there. He even called to check if we were still safe on the road. It was very heartwarming. The time at Bastion Quarters was very delightful. Thanks to Bevan for the hospitality and nice weekend! Rooms 1 and 3 are exactly as pictured. Unfortunately room 2 was booked but it is permanently unavailable since it's being used as a spa room. We were offered rooms 4 or 5 instead. Both rooms have a strong mould smell. They also do not have cupboards which was disappointing. Apart from that, the area is safe and the receptionist is friendly and stays close by if you need any assistance.
On arrival the personal on-site was not informed about our coming. Our room was not ready (16:00), so we got a slightly larger room. As foreigners we were not informed about neither loadshedding times on the arrival day nor the general power cut for maintenance (08:00 to 20:00) on the next day - although they only had an electric stove, microwave and kettle. A no-go for South Africa is the not lockable front gate to the street, especially as the room locks are more ornamental than a safety feature. Breakfast was not offered (maybe because of the not mentioned power cut) and although we told them our intended departure time (08:00), no one was on site.
The stay at Bastion Quarters was perfect for the Christmas season! Centrally located near a shopping centre. Staff are very helpful and Anna made sure we got everything we needed! Thank you Shandre, you have really created a lovely place and we will definitely stay there again.
Central, spacious, tidy, value for money, easy and safe.
Only negative aspect was the other tenants who made noise until 04:30 the next morning. Better noise control will ensure that everyone fully enjoys their stay.

It was a pleasure staying at Bation Quaters Guest House, the place was clean and they really do go the extra mile for the customer. Kid friendly as well. Things you wouldn't expect was at our disposal. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation in Bredasdorp.
This was my second visit to Bastion, the upgrades are beautiful and the rooms are spacious and very modern. I will have to visit in the Summer to get my full poolside and braai experience.

Very nice stay and the host was super friendly and helpful. Area may not have been that good, but there was no need to go out - everything needed was in the guest house. Will definitely visit again.

No air-con in the room I stayed in, not even an electric fan. the electricity kept tripping. The walls are paper thin. The guests in the next room were terribly noisy and raucous. No concierge service, or reception upon arrival. WiFi does not work either. The room was dark and very stuffy as it had not been aired before arrival. all the windows were closed and it was hot in the room. No one to attend to your needs when neighboring guests were a huge problem, partying, banging furniture screaming, and laughing until 2:00 am in the morning. Absolute nightmare. Will not recommend this establishment to anyone else.

My fiance and I spent 2 nights here while we had to be in the area. The place pleasantly surprised me and we had a wonderful stay. In room 6, where we stayed, they were even willing to accommodate my little dog who was touring with us. It was a great blessing and he enjoyed it a lot too. So I can definitely recommend Bastion.
