We had a wonderful stay! The unit is very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need for preparing food, and there is a mobile braai on the balcony. Everything was very clean and tidy. The view of the sea was a great treat and we could go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the sea. The sun was setting over the water across the balcony, which was fantastic to watch. We really regretted not booking more nights and were very impressed with the whole unit, the location and the view! It was really lovely to stay there and the landlady was very helpful and arrangements were made in advance about receiving keys. It exceeded all our expectations.

The unit is spacious, tidy and the indoor braai is very large and comfortable. We had a good barbecue and slept peacefully.
The unit is much larger than it appears in the presented photos. The indoor braai is a lovely bonus and the unit has everything needed. I would appreciate it if there was information about how many DSTV channels are available. The distance to local shops is quite far, so if you are a guest, please shop. everything in advance to save a hike, especially if you don't have a vehicle.

The accommodation is well located and neat.
There was no kettle in the kitchen, I called the owner and she immediately drove from the farm into town to bring the kettle for us. Wasn't really necessary as we brought our own gas stove and kettle with us, but she insisted and brought them to us straight away. Very friendly.
Some things that did bother. TV did not work and there was no information about channels that could be used. The biggest problem, however, was that there is no privacy because every word from the adjacent unit is clearly audible.
The place was top notch and very safe, would go back to Bay Plaza any other day. Keep up the good work.

Incredible 180 degree view of the West Coast with the Bay-Plaze unit facing the beach. As a family, we experienced the most perfect sunset on the West Coast while the barbecue fire crackled on the porch.

The place is well equipped with quality kitchenware, which makes cooking a pleasure. The neighbors were very pleasant and it was nice to chat with them now and then, but it was still privately enjoyed to be quiet.

We slept in the Penguin and it was the best choice for a couple. The view over the sea is fantastic. We were there alone so it was quiet and private, but if there are other people staying too and you have to share the balcony it can be disturbing and noisy. We didn't meet the hostess at all which was disappointing and only received late communication where we would normally have heard from the hostess the day before. We ate at Isabellas and they make amazingly good food.

The balcony is shared with other guests next door who partied and made noise until after 23:00.
I would recommend an upper floor unit. We were on the ground floor and could hear everything going on above us, it was quite noisy. Unfortunately, the unit does not have an oven, but everything else one needs in the kitchen. Bedding was neat, 1 single bed mattress was very uncomfortable. Mold in the bathroom needs attention.

Mom and I stayed for 1 night. The lounge is in the main bedroom so there is nowhere to sit if the room is being slept in. The end of town feels very run down and I did not feel safe going down to the beach in front of the accommodation although it seems like a good spot in season. The public parking in front of the property would be extremely busy in season. The beds were comfy and the place was clean and that was what we wanted. I add the rest not as a complaint but as a heads up for other travellers.

My first impressions when I saw the dirty garage doors and weeds between the paving at the entrance were disappointment. Inside, the tiles in the bathroom, windows, blinds as well as the bathroom doors were filthy. There was a noise from the parking lot between the sea and the property. Empty drink bottles were thrown against the braai places. I took pictures to substantiate the above statements.
Place smells overwhelmingly of smoke due to of fire that was made/was in the house. Carpet in living room wet and moldy. Floor dirty. Entrance hall messy, unprofessional and untidy.

It is almost impossible to criticize Bay Plaza negatively - everything was in good working order and tidy. Location is unbeatable. Something that could be improved is the WiFi. It's absolutely essential in 2018.
We stayed 2 nights at Gannet in Bay Plaza. First night barbecued, the indoor barbecue is convenient because it was cold on the porch, but it still smells like smoke inside the unit the next day. Would suggest an 'air-purifier'. Kitchen was well equipped, just know there is no oven. The bed is massively large and comfortable and we were very happy about the view, you look out over the 'tidal pool' parking area towards the sea. The hostess was very friendly and felt safe.

Bay Plaza is really a nice place for a family. It's very neat. The location is just a bit far from the main beach. The only hindrance was that there were no decent barbecue facilities. A closed indoor braai is essential for when the wind blows like this.
Pleasant and very neat stay. The only two things that are not pleasant at all are the fact that the cold and strong West Coast wind blows across the apartment balcony, there is no protection from the cold wind on the balcony. The second irritation is that you cannot really sit on the balcony in the afternoon, the reason being that the afternoon sun blinds you completely and you literally look directly into the sharp afternoon sun from the living room, the bedroom as well as and especially from the balcony until the afternoon sun disappearing behind the horizon. Surely not much can be done about it, as unfortunately it is the location of the apartment.
Minette was very friendly and helpful with the arrangements beforehand and also during check-in. The apartment is on the first floor and has a nice sea view. All the amenities you need are present in the apartment. There are public braai places in front of the apartment where it can get noisy, but it decreased after the evening. Note that your vehicle is parked on the street.

My visit was for 3 days. I rested and had the most peaceful time while I was there. Everything is near the plaza. One does not have to drive. You can take a walk just for exercise. The person who assisted me was patient and had a good personality. Looking forward to visit again.
Minette was very nice and just upgraded us to a bigger unit. A family will be able to comfortably stay here for an entire holiday. The unit was very neat, modern and spacious.

We arrived around 19:00 after having some misfortune and if it wasn't for someone who forgot something at home, we would have had to sleep in the car. I didn't have cellphone contact as we are from Namibia. I would like to recommend that they have someone available 24 hours a day. All in all, excellent accommodation and I'll be returning.
We stayed in the Penguin unit, it was very neat and very modern. The room is spacious, with a comfortable bed and large (communal) veranda that has a view of the sea. The bathroom and kitchen are also quite large and tidy. It's an ideal holiday accommodation.
The accommodation is very neat and offers value for money. The agent, Minette Hayes, was very friendly and helpful with information about restaurants, sights etc!

After a very long drive from Namibia, we were so warmly received by Ninette. The location is perfect and walking distance from the sea. Muisboskerm is located very close.
This is probably one of the best self-catering accommodation places we have stayed in. There is everything you need. Neat, clean and everything is very good quality in the house. We will definitely use the place again.

Lamberts Bay is a small fishing town in the Western Cape, with white beaches and plenty of bird life. The Bird Island Nature Reserve is a breeding ground for an abundance of Cape gannets and penguins, and dolphins and whales are often spotted.
We do not service daily, but can be arranged in advance at a extra cost.
