This is our 2nd holiday at Beach Cove. Enjoyed every moment. My 8 dachshunds also had a good time together. Would recommend Beach Cove to anyone.

The unit is comfortably laid out with the most beautiful view. There are two bedrooms downstairs with a bathroom. Upstairs are the living rooms with another bedroom and a bathroom. Place is conveniently laid out with the most beautiful view. The host, Kobus, quickly made us feel comfortable. I will definitely visit Beach Cove again.
The house is very well situated and afforded us very good sea views and whale-watching. The plumbing needs attention and the stove plates are quite rusted. The fridge is also quite badly rusted. A two-plate gas stove would be very helpful when there is loadshedding. The wooden window frames need sealing and window stay fittings need to be properly fastened.
Very well located. The place is very nice and has everything you need. Very nice place where your four-legged children can relax without any stress. It needs a little TLC, but other than that it's very relaxing.
All that could perhaps be improved is if a washing machine could be installed. Other than that it was a great getaway and very private. Will definitely visit again.

Awesome view of the ocean from the comfort of your deck, beach is 500 m from the house, no having to get into your car and drive. It's in walking distance from the house, stunning scenery peaceful and tranquil, definitely value for money and an absolute must visit. We will definitely be back for more. Was a lovely place. Hibberdene as tourism is not what it used to be. But the place is ideally located to be able to drive to other beaches as well.
We had such a lovely stay. The house was well maintained, clean and Kobus really put effort into making the space pet-friendly, there is a small enclosed garden, that was fenced in, and even the balcony had extra reinforcements to make sure the doggies will be safe. The house is a small walk from the beach, (not a swimming beach) which the dogs loved, as it was very quiet and we could play with them. Would definitely recommend Beach Cove to anyone wanting a nice, affordable break with the entire family.

Needing a recharge of our batteries - Beach Cove did the trick! Awesome views of the sea from the deck allowed for whale and dolphin spotting. My 2 dogs and I loved the daily adventures in the rock pools on the beach. Although the property needs some TLC, all the facilities needed were available and areas lacking could be overlooked due to the cost being extremely reasonable. I will definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for a chilled beach holiday.
We had a nice view of the sea. It was neat and cleaned every day. I would definitely like to stay at Beach Cove again when we want to get away.
Kitchenware can easily be replaced, not all the electrical equipment works and there are also no items such as a braai for the braai meat. There is also not enough space to hang wet towels to dry well.
Accommodation very safe and very nicely fenced to keep dog child safe. Place has so much potential, needs TLC. Cell phone reception very bad and fiber would make a big difference.

Kobus was a perfect host, and the cottage is totally private. Larger than a cottage, more like a daily serviced little house, you get 2 storeys, 3 bedrooms, a totally fenced private garden for the dogs, large kitchen, full DSTV, and most importantly, a stunning, panoramic sea view from the deck, the lounge, the upstairs bedroom. Wake up to the sound, view, and smell of the sea. A short path through the vegetation takes you onto an almost private beach, where you can splash in the shallow waves, rock pools and walk on the beach. The swimming beach is not far, but we didn't go for that. We needed a reboot by nature, and Beach Cove ticked all the boxes. Take all you need with you for a lovely, peaceful break away from daily stresses.
The power was out, then everything is quiet and you just hear the sea. Kobus was very helpful.

What a wonderful, pristine, scenic getaway. Besides the beautiful sea view, the environment is rich in flower, plant, bird and sea life. We were also pleasantly surprised with a kid, a few monkeys, blue-headed cockatiel and a rare phenomenon of a firefly, as well as crabs frolicking in the waves. To our great surprise, we could see a variety of fish in the pools, while we enjoyed the shallow water snorkeling. Thank you, Kobus, for opening this experience to others. We will definitely visit Beach Cove again.
My wife and I and our 2 brats enjoyed our 10-day visit, the accommodation was very nice, peaceful and the view over the sea is really something special. There is only one thing I can imagine, the path down to the beach is used to dump rubbish bags and it is then torn open again by who knows what, so every time we walk past it the smells are inappropriate and it is unhealthy for us and our dog children. I really think that all the owners of the houses down the street can stand together and get the dumping of rubbish under control.

Very private and nice spacious place with a nice view. Photos on the web page are old and can be updated. The puppies enjoyed it and felt at home. The kitchenware, bedding, bathroom mats can be replaced. At normal rates I think the place is a bit expensive for their location - but after a good cleaning of the cottage and better kitchenware, towels and bedding I'll pay the price and drive to the other beaches to go swimming. Kobus was very friendly and helpful. Short path to the beach was an absolute bonus for us and the dogs for an early morning walk on the beach. In the morning we were spoiled with dolphin and whale sightings.
Wonderful welcome, clean unit with lots of space. Good support during load shedding. House was cleaned every day. Our Irish Wolfhound was with us and there was plenty of room for him to move. Children could enjoy the garden. Pristine beaches and pools to discover right in front of the property and walking distance to main beach. No adversity encountered but was told that it is not safe to be a woman alone or with children on deserted beaches so always move with a man and in a group or with a dog.

Accommodation is comfortable, tidy, safe and quiet, no noisy traffic. It is on the beach with a 180 degree sea view from the veranda or living room. There is a comfortable braai area also with a nice sea view.
This unit is just fantastic! The sea view is a great treat and we often saw whales and dolphins. We are very grateful for the safe place for our puppies. They were right at home. Walking distance from the beach. The cleaning service is a bonus. It's very safe and quiet. Will definitely use again.

With an absolutely friendly and homely welcome from the owner, we knew from the outset that this was a little gem on our south coast. The house is extremely comfortable, well equipped and very tastefully decorated. The sea view from the deck area is enough to revive a tired soul. Kobus, the owner, is an extremely friendly and helpful host and helps without hesitation if needed. As highly neurotic pet owners, we can recommend Beach Cove to any animal lover. Beach Cove is not only equipped for human comfort, but considerable attention has been paid to the safety of pets. This is the one place where you can take your animals with peace of mind and know that it is really safe and pet-friendly.
The stay was perfect for us. The beach is within walking distance from the house. Hibberdene may not be the best place for eating out, but you are within 20 minutes of Suidkus Mall which has everything. We also took our dog with us and the house is set up for dogs, very safe.

Everything is right and convenient in its place and time. Hibberdene is also a very cozy place with several places to eat and Blue Flag beach. Really enjoyed it there.
The place was big, clean and wonderful. Our 2 Bull Terriers were able to play privately in the back of their fenced off yard. Host was very friendly. We wanted to show our dog kids the sea, and this was the best place to stay and make that possible. The beach was about a 30-50m walk and it was private. I would recommend Beach Cove anytime and I believe we will be visiting again soon.
Beach Cove was a wonderful home away from home. The owner made a special effort to accommodate our dogs, which we highly appreciated! The view is absolutely spectacular, and the cottage itself is lovely and neat. The dogs had their own little garden to play in when we were out, and the rest of the property to run around in the rest of the time. The daily servicing makes life so much easier, and the proximity to the beach is great - just a very short walk over the road and down a beach path and you are there.
The accommodation was very comfortable and convenient. The owner was very friendly and helpful and even welcomed our dog. She thought she owned the place and snooped around everywhere. The unit is clean and tidy, a homely atmosphere, well equipped with all the basic necessities. The daily cleaning services were a great help providing clean linen and bathroom towels. The view from the deck is something special and one can spend hours there. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away and is quiet and ideal for a long walk with our dog. We really enjoyed our stay and I recommend Beach Cove to anyone who wants to enjoy a peaceful break by the sea.

We really enjoyed the view over the sea and every day we saw the whales and also sharks from the balcony. The unit is well equipped and serviced daily. The security of the property and the unit is very good and allows you to sleep peacefully without any disturbances. It was very safe for our pet and she could move around comfortably and even stay home safely when needed. We would happily use this unit again. The host Kobus is very helpful and accommodating and it was pleasant to share with him.

Kobus welcomed us very warmly. Our 2 Beagles were very welcome and the property is protected by fences. The short walk to the beach was ideal. The beach is peaceful, untouched and beautiful. We, as well us our dogs, enjoyed the long walks dearly. You can't swim here, however. Hibberdene's swimming beach is about 2 km away, you can walk there. It was a very pleasant escape.
We went as a family with a small daughter and two staffies. We received a friendly welcoming by Kobus and felt at home immediately. The area is pretty and the beaches are great. The home is meant for a family holiday.

Can see the place used to be a three star accommodation but is deteriorating due to lack of maintenance. The stove and oven are greasy and dirty, pour water that pools while you shower and beds are outdated. Will go on holiday in a hotel next time.
Our holiday at Beach Cove was unforgettable. We can't wait to visit here again. The private beach provides everything you need and more. It feels like you're on your own island. The accommodation is definitely 5 star with all its facilities and the sea view is the best we had experienced on the South Coast. It's close to Hibberdene's main beach and all the shops. Will definitely recommend it and hope to visit there again.

Beach Cove is the ideal place to stay if you want to look out on the sea from your accommodation. It is a detached house on a plot, next to the main house where Uncle Kobus is ready to make your stay comfortable. It's 100% pet friendly and very safe. Access to a private beach is about 50 m away by a field path over the railway track. The train does not bother at all - it passes once a day. And the SuperSpar is just around the corner for quick and convenient shopping.
Really enjoyed the stay. Will go back again anytime. Have recommended the place to all my friends. You feel safe and our Labrador enjoyed the stay just as much!
The time was just too short, but off-season a bonus. Privacy is very good, stay lovely. House cleaning also cute and amenities more than enough. Bonus that our dogs could be together! It was a very pleasant time.

We as a family will vacation at Beach Cove again. The private beach about 80 meters from the house is a bonus, and walking distance to the main beach, good exercise.
Good place, best accommodation on the South Coast. Closer to the sea you cannot stay. (Just remember your own smart card to get all the TV channels).

Our stay was wonderful. It was a lovely sea view from the master bedroom, living room and balcony. The house was a "home from home" so to speak. It is very neat and well equipped. We really enjoyed the sunrise. There were many whales to see from the house, as well as dolphins. We also enjoyed the bird life, and they welcomed us every morning with their song. The beaches are beautiful and clean. The shops are also close by and we found them to be adequate for our needs. The host of the house was very friendly and helpful.
