Very neat and clean. Garden well maintained.
The hostess had already warmed up our room upon our arrival, the breakfast was delicious, and the log fire in the breakfast room was something out of a storybook. The room is well equipped and very intimate.
Comfortable cottage, farm but also in town. Equipment neat and in working order. Quiet environment. Staff very friendly.
Definitely the best service! All the workers are so friendly and we immediately felt at home. The unit we slept in was so neat and luxurious. I would spend an evening there again anytime. Thanks for fantastic service!
Friendly staff, very comfortable accommodation which was well equipped with quality linen and towels. Good breakfast served on request.
Quiet neat accommodation. We are just looking for the cozy fireplace in The Cottage as advertised on the website. Was woken up every morning at 7 o'clock by the noise when the doors of the warehouse built against the cottage were opened and the people talking. Perhaps it can only be brought to the attention of the people who book The Cottage.
Very clean. Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was good. The pool is a splash pool so very small.
Group of 13 tour members, all male and female, except one. Most had their own room and facilities and those who shared did not have a problem with that. Very neat facilities and central in Bonnievale.
We only stayed for one night in the Self-catering cottage which was located privately and to one side of the site. The unit's kitchen was nice and big and well equipped with a stove, microwave and fridge. Crockery, pots, cutlery etc. was provided to make your stay comfortable for self-catering. Dish soap was provided. The bathroom had a shower, sink and toilet with a large mirror which was special. Usually, most accommodations have a small, tall mirror above the sink and you have to stand on your tiptoes to look in the mirror. There was hand soap at the sink. The bedroom had a comfortable queen size bed with white linens. There was also a hairdryer in the closet, which is always a treat. An air conditioner was for your comfort in the bedroom when it is very hot. The sitting/dining room was large with a sofa, TV with certain DStv channels and a table with 4 chairs to comfortably eat at. There was a fireplace in the lounge to keep you warm in the cold months. A portable drum was provided outside on the porch, where you could braai. The garden had a manicured green lawn with wire around it and you could park your car next to the unit which was very convenient. There was also a light on the porch that illuminated your car and you felt safe. Free WiFi was provided. Load shedding was not a problem in the evening as a generator started up within minutes. It was very nice and was really appreciated. The staff were friendly and helpful upon arrival and the check-in and check-out were quick. We really enjoyed our stay and can recommend Beausoleil. We will definitely go back again and this time we will stay longer.
Everything you need. Perfect. I want the place to myself. Painfully clean and tidy. Thank you very much again for the wonderful time.
Here it feels like home, and there is a lot to do and see. One night is too little, here you should stay for three or more to explore the area and experience everything.
If you enjoy farm life and quiet, this is the right place for you. I can recommend Beausoleil to anyone who just wants to get away from a busy life. The silence and the picturesque surroundings with a few horses to top it all off, one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The cottage was nice and private and away from everything and everyone, although it is walking distance to the nearest shops. A must for anyone who just wants to find rest for their soul.
A beautiful farm with stunning views, walk to river, lovely bird life and quality amenities. Lovely private self-catering cottage with aircon and braai. Good time of relaxation.
I wanted to take a shower late afternoon and there was no hot water, while the power was on at that time. The numbers I got from the website were never answered. I could hear the phone ringing inside the reception area, but there was not a soul in sight. The cell number was a digit short and didn't work. Finally got hold of Vernon from the website and he followed up and got back to me with the message that one Markus was on his way. I never saw or even heard of Markus. Vernon told me about the lost digit and I got hold of Michelle. She simply said it was due to load shedding while the power was on (also at the Deli where I had lunch). By 18:00 the power did go out, but a generator kicked in and I dreamed of a hot shower. Finally, by 22:45 there was still no hot water. I texted the number but got no reply. Michelle was just missing in action. Had to take a cold shower. I mentioned this to Marilyn during dinner and she said she would check to see if the geyser was on. Luckily the water was warm the next morning. Everything else was excellent.
I would like to visit again, but this time with my colleagues. I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you for hosting me.
Amazing place that is definitely value for money. Very safe and breakfast a winner. Definitely recommend if in Bonnievale.
A cute and neat place surrounded by green landscape. Close to the town center but away from the noise. If I could complain about something small, it would be that I would appreciate a top sheet flat sheet or even a thin blanket on the bed, seeing as it is summer and a thick duvet is much too warm.
Very peaceful surroundings and we were very kindly welcomed and made to feel at home.
Beautiful house and surroundings. Welcome was great with an extra bit of flair. Welcome drinks in the room with a nice postcard to welcome us. Rooms are great with very good quality bed and linen. There is WiFi and the gardens are beautiful. They probably have the smallest pool in Bonnievale, too cute. but still a nice cool off in the hot summer days. There is also a path that you can walk down to the river. We had a great time and would highly recommend Beausoleil.
Beautiful new unit and very clean, milk and coffee extras were welcome. Possibly there will be another bathroom door added and a small fridge but that is all that is missing from this cute unit.
See stars.
Our room was very clean, tidy and well equipped. There was enough coffee, tea, sugar and milk for our needs every day. I just feel that for the money we paid for this room, breakfast could have been included.
Please give attention to the shower facilities. There was a blockage and water was leaking out.
I would recommend Beausoleil to anyone who is visiting Bonnievale.
Although the rooms did not have bathtubs as stated on their website, the showers were good enough.
The location was perfect as we were visiting friends nearby.
Beausoleil is a beautiful place to stay, almost like an oasis with the lovely gardens and a refreshing little pool.
Beausoleil was excellent.
We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival by staff. It is a very nice site and in a peaceful environment. The room was immaculate and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended.
Just some constructive criticism. Although it was advertised that there are braai facilities, these were largely inaccessible and also without lighting if you wanted to braai in the evening. There was also no braai wood or firelighters. It would have been nice if the apartment had a Weber or even a gas Weber outside on the stoep. The accommodation which we stayed in was right in the main building so it was not private. There was also a farmer who came several times a day to water the lucerne and ran the sprinklers the whole day and the whole night which was distracting. In addition, there was no soap dish in the shower and so the soap was either on the floor or you had to get out of the shower and place the soap on the bathroom counter. There was very little natural ventilation in the room at night as the window had no burglar guards, and the security gate was not closed at night in the driveway. Ice in the fridge would have been nice so that we could have had a nice cold gin and tonic on arrival, but we had to go to the bottle store and buy ice. On the positive side, the apartment was very clean, the bed and pillows and duvets were very comfortable. All the fittings in the apartment were upmarket and of good quality. It is probably the best place in Bonnievale to stay and I would definitely consider staying at Beausoleil again.
Rooms are stylish. Had a lovely stay. Everything was there that we needed. The environment is beautiful and peaceful!
We woke up to the noise of the pool being repaired. It was not very pleasant.
It's a beautiful place to stay in the most beautiful surroundings. Wish we could stay for longer.
There is only a tiny splash pool. I was hoping to swim in the river but this was not possible. There are no proper restaurants in Bonnievale and we had to drive all the way (30km) to Robertson for a meal.
We stayed over for a wedding. The room was super tidy, the bed incredibly comfy and the staff all very friendly.
We had a very enjoyable stay, the loft had everything we needed and more, it was so peaceful we overslept the next morning.
The rooms were really nice and spacious. However, our experience has been that Beau Soleil is not really suitable for self-catering, some rooms more so than others. So plan not to rely too heavily on self-care.
Couldn't solve our problem with hot water and apparently previous guests complained about it. Reduce daily rate or raise your standard in this case.
Felt uneasy as we were the only people there, and no security guard and gate was open. Not a great location on the main road, with loud music playing all night. Also had no response to my emails, SMS or calls.
A fireplace in the room with a large space. Beautiful location and close to Swellendam.
Everything as discussed and indicated. Would love to visit again, great customer care!
It was a peaceful time in an open space and the beautiful view is amazing.
We were kindly received by the hostess who went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. It was a disappointment because the guest house has a 3-star B&B rating but no breakfast is served.
No negative comments. It is beautiful.
We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area and will definitely tell our friends about the guest house.
