My stay was good, but I wasn't happy with the room. They didn't give me the room I booked, and I ended up paying extra money while I knew how much money I owed them.
The service was amazing, the staff really professional and friendly. The food was amazing, and preparation didn't take very long at all. The only complaint is they require a bit of maintenance on the rooms. Some items were rusted and very old.
The rooms are cleaned daily and our things were safe. The gate is a bit tricky to get out of. The pool is perfect for lounging and I got some well-needed rest.

Apart from the bot and unnecessarily incompetent manager the place is a gem. Our time there was really special. The pool was kept neat and clean and the receptionists were lovely, friendly angels.

From arrival to departure, the employees of Alante Lodge were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very neat and clean. Their breakfast was delicious every morning, the menu for dinner had many options and the food we got there was very tasty.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alante Lodge. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. The ladies at reception as well as the Manager, kitchen staff, housekeeping staff and the security guards. The food was well prepared and the Lodge was very clean and tidy. We did not get the rooms we booked. They made us pay for the more expensive rooms and when we complained about it it resulted in a big fight. Rooms were very uncomfortable. It was terribly hot and room No. 2 had no air conditioner. A mobile air conditioner was given which blew the warm air back into the room. The bathroom was across the hall. We wanted to buy ice because it was so hot and it ended in just such a fight. We were told that we should go find another place to stay. The service with the meal was just as poor. We had almost finished eating when the vegetables were brought to the table. Everything just went wrong. We have experienced that the customers who stay longer than 1 night get 5-star treatment. They simply helped themselves in the kitchen. Some of the wooden rafters at the balcony were loose and it was very dangerous for the little ones. It's a beautiful place, but I wouldn't recommend it to sleep 1 night.
This is amazing place, with the best service. We enjoyed it so much and everyone was so helpful. We had a baby with us and they immediately asked if they could bring us a cot. One of the aspects I did pick up is that Alante Lodge's service is great.
Was a quick visit. Comfortable and safe! There was an attempted break-in and the guards were on their game. No one was any the wiser. I would definitely stay there again, hopefully for a longer period of time. The food was delicious!

Everything was wonderful. Service was absolutely great, our flight was delayed on the Friday evening and it was of no effort for the reception to wait for us until 10 the evening. We were stressed out for being late and they said to relax and assured us that it was okay, she will wait for us to arrive. On arrival we were received with friendliness. What you see on the photos on the website, is what you see on arrival and that is impressive. Thank you so much to Alante Lodge for a great stay.

Nice stay. Was kindly received at 11 o'clock in the evening with a sufficient buffet breakfast with filter coffee and a beautiful sea view included. Slightly close to the highway: Rooms facing away from the sea can be noisy in the evening due to traffic, but by closing the window and turning on air conditioning it is not really a problem.

Alante Lodge is a peaceful place to recharge your batteries. You don't even have to drive somewhere to swim, eat or visit a pub. They have everything under one roof!
It was so nice - especially the sea view of the room I was booked in. We really have a nice time and I can’t complain. The kids loved it so much.
Felt like we were being treated special the entire time of our stay. We were treated kindly by all the staff, from the owner to the cleaner. The breakfast was top quality. Management really goes the extra mile; I needed directions for my visit in Durban and the owner immediately went to look for the directions on his computer and brought them to me. We had dinner there - delicious food and HUGE portions. It can get a bit noisy with other guests and there isn't much privacy in the room I stayed in - can't leave the door open for fresh air for example.
Our stay was great!! Enjoyed every moment. It looked wonderful and we had a blast. Despite the beach distance we will definitely visit again (it's a bit far from the beach if you're travelling with children). Also, bedding for children should not be white. However, I will refer this place to anybody that asks, as the stay is worth it!! Thank you to the friendly staff for always smiling and assisting!

Beautiful view of the sea, just around the corner from a swimming beach. Good service, and very nice large plates of food for a good price at the restaurant. Cars are safe behind electric gates. Will definitely visit again.
