Would have liked to stay another night, with all the trees there to watch birds. Short dirt road from the main road to their gate. Was just a little rough. The cleaning lady was also friendly.

First overnight stay in Uppington and I can recommend Belihante to anyone. The owners and staff were very hospitable and we felt welcome. Our little kids really enjoyed feeding the animals and the owners were kind enough to take them on a horse ride. Thank you very much for the nice sleepover. The cottage we stayed in was fully equipped. Excellent value for money.
It was nice and in nature near the river. Delightfully private with all necessities available. Would love to visit in the summer.
The drain pushed up in the shower. The hot water from the gas geyser kicks off all the time. There was a dead lizard in our room.

We slept over one night before returning to Namibia. These are very cute chalets and the surroundings and gardens are beautiful. We will definitely stay there again.
I had a great time staying here! Nice pool area to relax with a very large garden. Guest house is located outside the busy town so nice and quiet, there is only a short piece of dirt road to drive. Was kindly received and helped.
We enjoyed our stay at Belihante. The rooms had everything we needed and it was very peaceful. We initially asked if we could change our booking and Duncan was very accommodating and friendly during this process as well as during our stay.

We received friendly service from the start and made ourselves at home in The Pink House, with an emphasis on pink. Everything was pink and we had a good laugh about it. Only suggestion I have is that parking should be made available closer to the accommodation, especially when traveling with elderly persons, it was a bit of a distance, which made carrying luggage difficult. Furthermore, it was a lovely farm atmosphere and we had a great time there and were able to braai in the outdoor area.
Too many flies in the pink house. The showers have no doors just curtains. Water mess on the floor which is slippery and dangerous.

We stayed in the pink house. Service was good and friendly and Duncan was really helpful, but there are a few niggles. The room with the sliding door door works very hard and keeps falling off the rail, it should be replaced with a decent door. The water pressure is very weak which makes showering almost impossible. The pink house's braai area is a hit and we enjoyed it.
Toilet seat was broken. No water at bathroom sink. Shower door and shower head broken. Table outside in sand. No floor mats. Had to ask for clean towel and dish towels after 3 days.
The road there is winding, but is about 150 m from the road and road noise is throughout the day and night. The shower is very small and the faucet at the sink is so loose you were actually afraid it would break.

Beautiful gardens, comfortable self-catering room with all the necessary, lovely swimming pool. Hostess arranged that we could barbecue next to the pool.
The hosts at Belihante went out of their way to set up a trampoline for our daughter, which was so lovely! Their pool is beautiful and clean. The rusks in the kitchen were an unexpected bonus.
Due to covid tests for Namibia, we had to change our booking. The hostess really made an effort to accommodate us and make us feel at home.
The house just needs a nice cleaning against insects. It can keep you awake quite a bit.
The lodge is made up of wooden chalets. Basic but clean and comfortable with touches of home. The area where the lodge is located is not fantastic and unfortunately there's a little bit of road noise. Perfect for a night or two but I wouldn't say it's a holiday destination, purely because of the location.
Belihante is a beautiful place. The cottages are beautiful, as is the garden. The garden was good for our souls coming from the arid Karoo. May Belihante be blessed.
Beautiful surroundings and gardens. Hospitable owners. A bit difficult to connect due to networks. Power outages due to Eskom. Owners took some time to arrange braai facilities due to a private function. Shower and sink drains a bit blocked. And was startled when gas geyser made flames. But was very nice.
Belihante offers all the necessities for an overnight stay.
The shower head in Vinkie is broken. You can see that a poor attempt was made to try and repair the shower head with white tape which I think only made it worse because after my freezing shower, because the gas had run out of the geysers, I washed the toilet curtain, toilet and floor soaking wet

Belihante Lodge is a bit out of town so it is very quiet and peaceful. It is the ideal overnight stay on the way to your destination. The accommodation was neat and we enjoyed our stay. Everything you need for an overnight stay is available - A TV, microwave, and coffee making facilities. It is safe since you sleep and park behind a remote controlled gate. I will definitely recommend this place.

The service was very friendly and fast. The garden is breathtaking. The room we were in was well laid out, with plenty of space. I get hot quickly, so air conditioning is important to me. Perhaps more could be done on the services of the goods.

Cramped, poorly maintained and expensive for what you get compared to other places in the same price range.
We booked via the site which focuses pictures on the wooden decked pool and wood cabins in the front of the property. When we arrived, we were directed to the back of the property to the Flaminke unit which looks onto an open shed work area, outside work area, horse, cow and sheep enclosures, staff housing and piles of garden refuse. There is a braai area that could not be used based on the amount of flies and the stay was unpleasant with constant smells from the animal enclosures. No "exquisite views" as advertised as the enclosures and work areas are within 30 meters of the unit and obstruct the views. The site does not say anything about proximity of animal enclosures or working areas. Very disappointed - establishment not willing to refund remainder of nights.
It was really nice people are friendly, and my dog kids were treated just as good as I was.
Stayed seven nights and really enjoyed it. The service we received from Terensia was excellent and friendly. Chalet is well equipped, very tidy and garden beautiful and peaceful. Will definitely stay there again and can definitely recommend it for overnight and longer stays.

We were kindly received upon arrival. Our room was neat and clean. Safe and comfortable parking space. There was space to barbecue outside and sit in front of your door to enjoy the outdoors. Clearly a very well looked after place. Slept peacefully with the rooster that woke us up. But it's a learned rooster because it was just in time to continue our journey.

We were received very warmly. Rural friendliness. The unit is very well furnished and tidy. I think the garden and surroundings are an absolute green loop court in the summer, and the pool is an added bonus for a weary traveller. Belihante Lodge is a bit too close to the main road and the traffic was quite disturbing.
Upon arrival we had to find the receptionist and other guests had to help us to her room. She didn't walk with us to our room just pointed to where he was sitting. Our room's bathroom was very dirty, as was the floor in the room, everything was full of dust. 02:00 we could only sleep after all the noise was over. Very cute idea, poorly managed. Will not stay here again.

I've been here a few times. It's perfectly located for anyone on the Namibia-Cape route. The rooms are very cute, neat and clean. The owners are always extremely friendly and helpful. The surroundings and lodge itself are beautiful! There is a lovely swimming pool, perfect for relaxation.

Belihante was very neat, but unfortunately the unit was very dusty and seemed as though the unit hadn't been used for very long. We got the impression that a deep clean is needed. There was also no sink in the self-catering unit and I don't think it's okay to recommend your guests wash their dishes in a basin stowed on the bathroom floor with a dustpan and a small broom inside. We strongly recommend that a sink be installed.
This is a really great overnight stop and offers excellent value for money. The owners are very friendly and make you feel very much at home. Everything is neat, clean and comfortable and ensures that you are properly rested for the next part of your journey. The swimming pool also offers a pleasant escape from the Upington heat.

We spent 3 days in this beautiful lodge that is so well maintained and with a view of the vineyard. A little issue with the gate was sorted out by the friendly, helpful staff and the host. Lovely pool and sun deck.
We booked at very short notice and got a very quick response. At the time of purchase we were allocated a more luxurious option when we arrived without asking for it. The units are very neat, well equipped and competitively priced. Can recommend it.

Our kitchen was not fully equipped on the first sleepover - apparently due to family that stayed in the chalets a week or so before and removed the cutlery. The cutlery was returned on our second overnight stay after my wife brought it to their attention. The toilet roll had already been used before and the shampoo/shower gel container in the shower was empty. We stay in chalets/guesthouses a lot and were disappointed that the maintenance of the chalet seems to be left to the cleaner. The impression was left that the hostess did not know what was going on in her chalets.
Upon our arrival there we were kindly welcomed by the manager there. The place itself is like a paradise outside the town. Not too far away at all so you can go to the shops and then come back to the tranquility of the lodge. My mother and grandmother were together and they enjoyed the peace very much. I would go back there again anytime. 5 star accommodation!
Wifi did not work or was limited. There are two dogs walking around the grounds keeping a close eye on you.
Everything beautiful and neat. Just a pity it is in an industrial area and the smell of a pig farm nearby hangs in the air.
We were not received by any of the owners. After a long wait, one of the staff indicated our room.
The owner Niekie on our arrival informed us that he was having his future son-in-law's bachelor party, but they won't be late. Well after 1:00 am they did leave with much shouting and engine noise which only started the dogs barking. Our journey the next day was hopeless with hardly much sleep. This is not the kind of service anyone needs especially after travelling 900 km, so when we came back 5 days later we stayed at another well-run place.
The accommodation is convenient to stay over for one night. There is coffee and tea facilities and the one room is comfortable for two people.

We were a group of friends on our way to Namibia, initially we thought it was a bit of a detour and not on the main route. I would definitely recommend that you drive the 10 km towards Groblershoop. There is a nice swimming pool with a lapa for visiting. One of the guests left their daughter's birth certificate at home and the owners went out of their way to help with that.

I can't say enough about this place. We weren't expecting much because of the low price but boy were we surprised. We stayed in Troupant and there was nothing to complain about! The room was clean, decorated beautifully and we even had an aircon. The lapa area is still being worked on but it's going to be magnificent. The only thing worth looking at is a couple of bees that magically appeared when I sat on the single sofa in the lapa; they might have a nest near there. Other than that, the gardens are also beautiful and the place has a real charm. Well done! We will hopefully be back one day.

I am a single mother with a child in the hostel. Everything we needed was there. Niekie comes to see if everything is okay and if you are happy. Free access to come and go as you please. Gas geyser.
Had trouble the first night. I was there a night earlier which I had arranged with Belihante himself. Apparently it was a double booking and I had to sleep with friends of mine on the floor in one of the rooms. I called them a week earlier to see if it was ok for me to come in a night early and was told no problem... I was called 2 hours after I arrived in Upington to telling me I was double booked. It leaves a bit of a bad aftertaste.
This was our first stay at Belihante, and will certainly come again. The hospitality and friendliness was fantastic. The environment is peaceful and this was the high point.

Apart from reasonable rates for cute rooms, the host double booked our group and wanted to squeeze us all into one unit. It put a damper on the conclusion of our holiday. It's a pity.
We booked with Belihante for 1 night for an overnight stay between Pretoria and McDougals bay. The units are fully equipped, with air conditioning against the heat. The children frolicked in the pool, the gardens were beautiful, and we had a delicious barbecue in the evening. Niekie is very friendly and helpful. Secure a place to recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at Belihante. The hospitality of the owners is great, they carry you on their hands! And the tranquility and atmosphere was wonderful. The chalets were more than equipped and beautiful. I happily recommend anyone to spend the night there, you won't regret it!

After a very long journey from Port Elizabeth on our way to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park we arrived at the lodge to a very warm welcome from Mrs. Taljaard and staff. Coincidently, we stayed in the unit shown in the pictures - which was well equipped, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had a delicious braai that evening and felt secure and safe. Would definitely use the Belihante Lodge again if visiting the area.
