The tranquility with mountains around you makes Belvidere Country Estate picture beautiful. Our weather was not favorable for using the hot tub, but will definitely want to try it again in the summer months.
We are new to the Karkloof area and were overwhelmed by the natural beauty and surrounding area. We placed value for money high on our list and had to look long and hard before making our choice of accommodation. The unit offers spacious rooms and complete seclusion a few kilometers outside of Howick and within driving distance of Pietermaritzburg. We managed well especially because we are used to the type of holiday to take care of food ourselves. We therefore did not make use of all the facilities but could really just relax. Now that's a getaway if you're looking for one.
Unit nicely furnished. Many birds seen around pond at home and also on walking trails. Would recommend some extra hangers (feel 1 per room is insufficient).
We really love being on the farm and in nature. The loft is stunning and we had a wonderful time. Jen is a fantastic host.
Great place to make a fire and hang out. Luxury furniture and fittings - everything needed. The outdoor shower is special! We had a lovely weekend. The owners are also very involved and helpful.
If you want to break away from your busy everyday life this is the place!This first place which we visited where you could actually believe everything you see on photos. Take enough wood or place your order in advance you will enjoy the pizza oven and hot tub, something new. The most cosy atmosphere with the greatest kitchen, the owners provided everything and more. Will visit them again. Thanks again Jen you guys made my birthday memorable!
We had a lovely stay, it was nice and private and we could move around the farm and enjoy the beautiful birdlife. Beautifully equipped unit, feels like home away from home.
We felt very isolated. Very far from shops so need to ensure you bring the essentials and food with you.
My husband and I along with our two doggies stayed in the mountain view cottage for a weekend, it was absolutely wonderful. The setting is gorgeous, the cottage itself was just out of this world, the décor was tastefully retro, and contains everything you need and more. We had a braai outside every night, taking in the farm smells and sounds. We went for walks with the doggies on the farm. it was very peaceful and beautiful, and we would love to come back again.
Awesome, unreal country experience. Jen and Wayne were fantastic hosts. Made us feel very welcome. Got to see a Cow give birth to calves while passing a nearby farm. Beds were extremely comfortable. No complaints whatsoever.
Quiet on a farm and you can relax.
Perfect breakaway for a couple or family with middle age kids. Clean, neat and homely. Will definitely recommend and use again. WiFi is a wonderful baby sitter while we could enjoy the beautiful scenery while taking an outside bath in the beautiful garden.
