Those who book in for a couple of nights of relaxation in a haven of peace and tranquility will be welcomed with true farm hospitality. There is a small camping site with space for 5 caravans or 8 tents, with power and ablution facilities provided. Alternatively, there is accommodation consisting of 2 self-catering units and 1 en-suite room attached to the main house with a private entrance from the stoep.
Ben Nevis is the first and only registered cherry cellar in South Africa that produces unique products from pure fresh cherries. Visitors are welcome to taste a range of different cherry wines and liqueurs which is truly unique. The guest farm has a tea garden, which is a peaceful, shady area where refreshments are served. You can have a braai in the lapa or cool off in the swimming pool filled with spring water. Functions and weddings for up to 150 people can also be held on the farm. There is a unique, open-air chapel, making it ideal for an intimate wedding.
There is a walking trail that is located on the slopes of the Clocolan Mountains for great outdoor activities. Spectacular views of Malutis and the surrounding areas can be enjoyed from the top of the mountain as well and the beautiful sandstone formations, distinctive features of the area. Many indigenous trees can be seen along the road and some of the names are indicated on the trees themselves. Various bushman paintings found in the mountain are evidence that the area was originally inhabited by bushmen.

31 guests' feedbackWe had a very pleasant stay. Arrived late afternoon and tired from the day's activities. The hostess was very pleasant and had our supper waiting for us. The rooms are neat and tidy and quite comfortable.
We were treated very well by the host and hostess. The area is very beautiful and the accommodation was clean and tastefully furnished. They also have a lot of cherries and cherry products.
Tree-rich, private, level and grass-covered pitches with large and smaller braai facilities. Lovely hot shower, washing up and ablution facilities nearby. Cherry orchards in bloom are something to behold! The hiking trail up the mountain and back down the other side is full of surprises such as views in all directions, bushman drawings, rock crevices, "baboon chains" and information boards near many of the native trees and plants. The route is well marked and easy to follow. We spent a lovely weekend there.
Very nice overnight there. Very neat and friendly reception. Will definitely stay there again.
Stay was excellent. Quiet atmosphere, clean, safe, affordable and will definitely use them again. Just a request that fans are available in the accommodation.
Thank you Carina for the hospitality, very nice meals. My accommodation was very neat and clean with all the necessary equipment. Very peaceful with exceptional garden and surroundings. Will always book here again.
Carina was a perfect host and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room I stayed in, was exceptionally clean with a microwave, kettle and small fridge, which was ideal. I opted for a breakfast (at additional cost) which was very comprehensive!
Ben Nevis is a diamond in the Clocolan region. The cottage was very comfortable and clean with unsurpassed hospitality from Tannie Carina. Really value for money.
We arrived late but were still warmly received. The chalets were found clean and tidy. The breakfast the next few days was very pleasant and more than enough. We had the privilege of viewing the packaging of the cherries. The surroundings and the garden are very beautiful with the mountain as a background. Many thanks to Carina for a pleasant stay.
The place is very well looked after and is also well maintained, the water was hot, lovely shower and ablution.
Place has a lot of potential - with a little effort and money you can upgrade it.
Thank you very much for a lovely, large and tidy camping site. Grass is nice and thick and neat, bathroom facilities good.

Very nice stay and ate. Good hostess and spacious unit.
Stayed in a Chalet that was clean and tidy with all the necessary facilities for self-catering. Hostess made excellent evening meal and breakfast at extremely affordable price. Quiet place for a good night's rest and silence. Will definitely stay there again.
It is a beautiful chalet with enough warm blankets for the winter cold. Beautiful peaceful area.
Everything was very neat and clean and we were received very hospitably. Carina is a wonderful hostess and made crumbed porridge especially for my disabled son when she heard that he liked it very much. We had a great time, and learned a lot from the uncle about winemaking in his wine cellar. If you go in that direction, go find the people you won't regret it, it's real farm hospitality.
Very neat place in beautiful well maintained area. Very nice view on the mountain. Swimming pool beautifully clean. Gardens well maintained. Will go back again and recommend too.
The 4 kms along a corrugated dirt road was worth the effort after arriving at a beautiful and serene place, welcomed by Corinne. Had the website been clearer I would have hired the cottage with braai area attached to it for three persons and put two of the children in the main house. But as it turns out, the braai facility was made available to us, even though all stayed in the big house.
The hostess was extremely helpful with regards to the accommodation, as well as with the products that were made on the farm and were able to be purchased. Very pleasant stay and will return when the time allows.
Had a wonderful stay, just a pity our time there was hopelessly too short. Carina did everything in her power to make us feel at home. Even opened the shop specially on Sunday morning so we could taste some of the cherry products. Would really like to stay there for longer so we can walk the footpath to the top of the mountain and look at the petroglyphs. Can definitely recommend it. The accommodation is neat and clean and excellent value for money.
Ben Nevis Guestfarm is a breathtaking place. We were received very hospitably and Carina went out of her way to make us feel welcome. It was top notch service. Definitely worth a visit. The place was definitely the "cherry on top".
We were even been taken on a cellar tour!
Everything we wanted was there, were a group of 8 people and alone in the camping area, so we weren't bothered by anyone. It's nice that the place is so small and that there aren't too many people in the resort. The owners opened the cafeteria for us on the Sunday morning before we left so we could buy some products, we appreciated that a lot. Water was warm at all times in the shower area. The swimming pool is very nice in the heat, big and clean.
Ben Nevis offers comfortable accommodation. Thank you very much for the hospitality!
Very nice, well planned, spacious units. Delicious farm breakfast! The owner explains the way very well, Do not follow the GPS directions!
It was so lovely we came from far away and the owners waited until 00:00 for us. Solid breakfast.

Lovely place with lovely organic cherry wines and liquers. Very peaceful. Will stay there again.
We wanted to pitch a tent to spend the night, but then left it and slept in the back of our van because there was a young Retriever (if I have it right) dog around. We were afraid the dog would jump up against the tent with its paws and cause damage - perhaps unnecessarily careful, because we could probably have asked the owner to tie the dog down. The tent pitches were nice and level and big enough - we had a single cab van and trailer. The ablution neat and clean and the water warm. There were no other campers, so the facilities were all ours with electric lights and barbecue (bring your own grill and wood). There is a bit of dirt road to get there, but not a problem.
