We had a great time staying in one of the cottages at Berluda. Cottage was clean and peaceful and surrounded by beautiful gardens. We also enjoyed a meerkat tour on one of the mornings with a very knowledgeable guide. We would recommend this farm as a place to stay in the Karoo.

Very nicely equipped houses with the most beautiful view. Wonderful breakfast every morning and friendly hospitable staff. Our family really enjoyed it and will definitely come together again. Rest for our urban souls indeed!

Berluda was a very good experience for our family. The accommodation was incredibly luxurious with the leather couches and cuddly bedding. We had everything and more we could need and the layout, with the kids on their own side of the house, made it even more comfortable. The Farm Tour is a must and is well worth the price. The tour guides know their story. Will recommend to everyone.
The stay was incredibly nice and peaceful. A picture-perfect farm, and the surroundings are really beautiful! (Don't mind driving the 20km out of town at all - don't even notice). 10/10 for the gardeners, your garden looks very nice! We had a wonderful rest, thank you very much. The breakfast by your large fireplace was very nice and the hostess during breakfast very friendly and helpful. Thanks again. We will stay there again if we are in the area.

Dit is ons tweede keer hier, laas was 2010, en dit is steeds 'n wonderlike plek om te bly. Was mal oor die ontbyt op die stoep en die volstruise.
Cottage was extremely neat and it was clear that it was well maintained. Staff went out of their way for us. Just think about air conditioning for the other rooms as well, the one in the lounge is not enough to cool the whole house.
Nice place for a break with the family.
The website's summary of Berluda made our expectation wrong. On the page all rooms were explained as king size beds and Jacuzzi's, but we were in Cottage 1 and the bed was double maybe queen, and room very small, ordinary bath, but it was lovely clean and the owners and staff were off the books . Friendly, helpful, and the daughter even looked after our Beagle so that we could take the little ones to a nearby attraction. I recommend that you update the web page with the correct information.
Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Berluda. It's well located if you want to explore the Kango Caves. It's child-friendly, nice clean and tidy and they thought of everything to make us feel at home. Breakfast is very nice.

Berluda Farmhouse & Cottages' houses were clean and tidy, the reception was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the dinner in the restaurant can definitely be recommended. The surroundings were beautiful and the trip to Prince Albert via Swartberg Pass was amazing! We will definitely stay there again and can recommend it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Berluda. We found the accommodation good and very clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant. We had the added bonus of breakfast given to us free of charge and what a spread! We took the opportunity of going on the ostrich tour and our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.

We were pleasantly surprised when we spent the night here on our way to the Southern Cape. I was under the impression it was just a room and bathroom but you actually have your own little house with a lovely barbecue area. Everything is luxurious and clean and the staff are all friendly. Unbelievably good night's rest after the 1000 km with a delicious breakfast the next morning. You will definitely see us again Berluda, keep it up! Next time we will come longer to attend the tours as well.

The family cottage we stayed in was well furnished. There is so much to see and enjoy in Oudtshoorn and the accommodation is centrally located. The staff were also extremely helpful. Will come again if we get the chance.

A lovely B&B and self-catering cottage. They offer a full buffet breakfast and have options for restaurant for dinner. Town is not far away, but far enough to be away from the "hustle and bustle". Many options for tours on the farm as well as neighbouring farms in the area.
Was wonderfully quiet and space for 5 German Shepherds traveling with us.
We had a great stay and the cottage is very well equipped. Neat and very comfortable. Very nice braai packs at the restaurant they also provide salads. We will definitely be back and recommend Berluda!
Berluda is a beautiful farm and the family houses are very neat. There are electric blankets and very warm bedding for the cold winter evenings. Friendly service the following morning with breakfast. However, I would recommend that they warn on the website that the "free" WiFi is not very good at all. It is also pointed out that there is a TV that captures the basic channels, but the TV has not captured any channels and did not work at all. It could be due to the weather conditions that WiFi and TV did not work at all, but then they should fix it or not advertise on their website at all. In addition, the breakfast was delicious and the service was good.
Cottage 1 needs the following upgrading to be line as a four star accommodation: DStv bouquet, 1st night we had no hot water (only the next morning after making inquiry with the gardener were we told that there were problems with the geyser switch), not enough electric points for plugs and kitchen sponge was worn-out. In general - very nice place and highly recommended.
My husband, I and our two year old daughter spent two nights in cottage number 8. The cottage was impeccably clean, beautifully furnished and spacious. We loved the couches on the large verandah. Cindy was extremely efficient, very friendly and always ready to help. The farmhouse breakfast included was also delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be recommending to friends and family.
