We had a great time! The place is beautiful and clean. A Splash Pool would be a great addition to the cottage in the summer! Will definitely go again!

My husband and I booked 3 nights at Bethesda Mountain Lodge to just get away, relax, recharge and reconnect. The environment is quiet and peaceful. The cottages are beautifully built and the stained glass windows are particularly beautiful. It is the ideal getaway for couples who want to reconnect and appreciate each other. I will definitely stay here again!
Very comfortable house (Cactus), located among trees. Complaints in other reviews such as the condition of the road or the lack of a braai was addressed by the owners. Road is in very good condition and braaier has been built in the meantime. Located in a densely wooded gorge. Very nice walking routes between the trees on the farm, with excellently marked routes up to the top of the Magaliesberg. House has access to solar power, so load shedding should not be a problem. Good value for money, given that it is located a stone's throw from Pretoria. Can recommend it for sure.

We really loved our stay! The lodge was beautiful and clean; we had everything we needed. The Bethesda Mountain Lodge is so remote and perfect for a couple's getaway. Loved the extra detail of the stained glass and the wooden windows. We went hiking on the farm; the trails are marked very well.
It is very peaceful and safe. The place is very nice clean and tidy. We went for a nice walk up the mountain and really enjoyed nature. We will definitely come back to this beautiful place again. We enjoyed it very much.
It was like heaven on earth. Painfully neat and extremely well equipped. One can just turn up and stay. Because the place is still new, there was only a standing braai, but a boma will be the icing on the cake. We will definitely visit again.
What a fantastic experience! The house is nicely furnished, neat and clean. We sat for hours on the rocking chair on the porch and enjoyed nature. You literally have your own pond at your back door. The walking route is well laid out and you really relax next to the small water streams and waterfall. You will really switch off here!
We had a very nice visit/stay. Place was beautiful and clean. The host stopped by to make sure we still had enough wood and if we needed anything else. It is quiet and peaceful. Definitely nice relaxation and rest. If you like the woods and outdoor life, I would suggest this place without a doubt.

The location was amazing. You are surrounded by nature. The lodge is beautiful and has everything you need for self-catering. The owner is friendly. I would recommend this lodge to anyone who wants a break away from the busy city life.
Had a nice stay. Would have lost to have curtains in front of windows. Wrong WiFi information was given so we could not connect. Couldn't let our people know we were safe as there was no signal and we relied on WiFi connection.
We had a lovely break. Wish we could have stayed a day longer. Everything was neat, clean and stylish. Nice and quiet with natural sounds around you.

This was a lovely spot for a weekend or overnight stay. Everything was so neat and tidy. I would advise that only people with higher vehicles consider this stay - we did struggle a bit with our standard sedan, especially after the very heavy rains. Be prepared to experience the surroundings entirely as there are no curtains at all. Otherwise, this cottage is equipped with everything you need - the owners really have added such a special touch with the decor.
