The shower is a disaster waiting to happen with either boiling or freezing water. Directions to the place should be clearer as we had to travel on a thoroughly muddy road for at least 18 km in driving rain.
There was no milk or ice.
No air conditioning. In Jacobsdal it is a must in the summer. The beds are definitely not guest house standard. No covered parking or trees. Vehicle stands in hot sun all day.
Accommodation very neat. Friendly service.
We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. The rooms are modern and well maintained with a fairly nice braai area. Unfortunately our stay was not very comfortable because of the heat. The rooms are in the full sun and although portable aircons provided some relief they were very noisy and not very effective. Fitted aircons are a must in 40 degree temperatures. I'm thankful we arrived late afternoon and made sure we left early otherwise we would have struggled with the heat. The bed was a little uncomfortable but okay for 1 night. The kitchenette had most things that we needed and was clean and neat. A car port/shade net for the car would have been nice.
The accommodation is neat but that's all. TV's reception is not good!

The guest rooms were neat and the bedding in good condition and enough.
Our room was spotless and well equipped. Air conditioning would be welcome as it was January and hot. However, there is a ceiling fan which at least helped. A tiny table to eat at is missing. There are 2 chairs. We would readily stay there again.
We slept very well. The floor of unit was not quite up to standard, especially in shower it doesn't look good.
Bietjie Moeg has a misrepresentation on the website compared to reality. The service was unprofessional and vehicles had to stand in a corridor, so you had to wait for the others to drive before you could drive. Among other things, the shower floor was not clean, so bad that you had to shower with your pads on. Then you couldn't even take a proper shower, because if it's not that the hot water becomes so boiling that you burn yourself, then you get cold again from the cold and then on the spur of the moment the shower tap falls off, and the shower is so small that you have to be really careful about how you try to pick it up again. And all this for R600 a night! It's ridiculous.
Had a very friendly reception and had a wonderful stay. And the breakfast was better than any hotel's.

The units there are beautiful, there is just no garden, but I believe it is coming, everything looks brand new. The entrance gate there which you have to open and close yourself is only slightly of a security risk. I would recommend the self catering units.
Amazing! Our stay was very nice, the food was incredibly good, and the people were very friendly.
