The room was very spacious and the customer service was excellent.
The service was excellent and the bed and furniture were very comfortable. My only complaint is that the WiFi reception was poor.
I really enjoyed my stay. My room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the most pleasant surprise was Busi. What a lovely person. I would definitely stay here again.
Quiet, despite the location. Neat but a little neglected. The self-care unit's equipment is not good.
Birdwood really surprised us! It's a beautiful place, spacious and tasteful. We were just looking for a place to stay, then we found a gem and were sorry we couldn't stay longer. Santie received us personally and saw us off, after a nice chat. The only problem is the location. Arcadia used to be a posh neighborhood, but it's not anymore. There is security with a guard 24 hours on the premises.
We booked a self-catering unit with no pots and pans. There is aircon but no remotes. We have to ask for the W-iFi password.
Birdwood was exactly what we needed for an overnight stay. The beautiful garden creates a tranquility.
The place doesn't look like the photos at all! The web page needs to be updated urgently because the place is run down.

This is not a 5 star accommodation at all. First impression was to turn around. The interview is not done. Faucets are loose and the bathrooms are moldy! Bedding and towels are old and shabby. Mattress extremely poor condition. Lots of dust, unpleasant experience. Nothing looks like the picture. Reception was quite friendly and it's actually sad that an 82-year-old lady still sees a chance to work in the industry. She had been very accommodating. To pay R810 per night I would not recommend anyone to sleep there. We did not feel safe. Even in the area one does not feel safe, but this is the case in many places in South Africa.
Friendly caring owners. Beautiful gardens and housing unit is very spacious and tidy.
