I had an absolutely wonderful stay. Everything is there that one needs. The host and wife are wonderful people, friendly and helpful. I immediately felt at home.
Our children just want to say a big thank you on behalf of my elderly father and his brother-in-law to Marie and her husband for their hospitality and concern during their overnight stay there. They were very tired and let it be known that your facilities were great and that after a good night's rest they saw a chance for the last part of their holiday.

Firstly the hospitality and welcome of Blue Crane Guest House was outstanding. The weekend was very fantasy. It's the right place to rest. The environment is very peaceful and free from nature. I would love to stay there again when I come to Bloemfontein.
We had a lovely stay at this guest house. We had our dogs with us for a show and the owners were very accommodating. The bedroom is a bit small but very comfortable as the bathroom is big and you also have an outside sitting area.
We were warmly welcomed and felt at home in a very clean and tidy room. The porch is lovely and we had a great barbecue every night. Our dog was also welcome and safe. Thank you very much, Marie, you were a really good hostess and we would love to visit again.

Hosts were charming. Bathroom was spacious. Bedroom was neat and had all the usual mod cons plus a fridge. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was divine, personally prepared by our hostess while we ate our cereals. My only criticism was the pillows were old and should be exchanged for new ones.

The guest house is quite easy to find. It's located in a residential area and directly opposite a primary school. There is no shopping center nearby. The family room was quite large with three beds a large fridge. The television screen was mounted somewhat awkwardly high on a wall, probably so that everyone could see the TV from the three beds. However, no one can see the image properly except by sitting on a chair in front of it. The owner can consider putting sun block filter with the curtains in front of the window. The light from the security lights causes the room to never be completely dark. We only stayed one night and enjoyed it.

Because I don't have a GPS I had a little trouble getting there but the owner was very helpful and took me step by step to the house. There we were pleasantly surprised to find such a beautiful place.
Blue Crane is located in a quiet street. There is a primary school opposite, but that was not very disturbing. The accommodation is one 4 person room in the house of the owners. Privacy regarding bathroom and toilet in the space is not everyone's choice. All that is necessary is present.

Good overnight stop. Breakfast which one can request extra is absolutely worth it. Delicious food. Just difficult with a baby to wash things like bottles and so on, because there is no dish sink in the room, just a normal bathroom sink. So for sure not ideal if you have a baby. Had to ask to wash at main house, which is just a bit inconvenient. The sink is also not part of the bathroom, but located in the room section itself.

The TV is a little poorly mounted, it doesn't have a swivel arm so it could be rotated to watch TV properly. Since we only stayed overnight and were tired after our trip, it didn't bother too much.

This accommodation is adequate but the room was extremely small. They allow pets if you arrange it beforehand.
The lady was very friendly but the room we stayed in was far too small and very very cramped. The facilities were poor, nowhere to wash dishes, no place to prepare food, cutlery for one person only. The bathroom was also tiny. Shocking for the amount of money we paid - I would only have paid R250 max for that accommodation. We often stay at B&B's and the size of the room was just unacceptable.
We arrived in Bloemfontein at 19:00 and basically just needed a place to sleep. Room is somewhat cramped especially if one considers how much space for the bathroom is allowed, but definitely value for money. Given that the room does not have self-catering facilities, a small table with 2 chairs will be useful, for example, to enjoy a light meal.

The fact that we could hear the residents talking made us feel uncomfortable. The blanket over the bed was quite skewed and did not create a nice impression.

She helped me out with some laundry herself. The breakfast was also delicious and "enough" for my growing teenage son. Paying by card was just as fast and effective. We were very satisfied with the accommodation provided to us at Blue Crane. The room was extremely neat and clean, and all necessary appliances were already provided. The customer service and communication was also fantastic!

When we arrived the host asked us if we mind changing to a smaller room as other clients wanted two rooms together. We agreed as we were just staying the night. It was clean and neat but very small. Although the rate was reduced by R100 we did not feel it was the correct thing by accommodating the other guest and inconveniencing us, but as I said we just agreed to the change as couldn't very well go and look for other Accomodation. They were very sorry about it and apologized profusely.
Very hospitable and friendly people. Crisp and clean room. Feeling like we are staying with family.

My two little ones and I were very kindly welcomed by auntie Marie. What a pleasant hostess. We didn't even feel like we were staying in a guest house, more like at a family member's residence where we were visiting. I would definitely recommend this guest house to everyone. Furthermore, in the rush to get to Johannesburg, I also forgot my mobile phone charger there. A few days later I first contacted the guest house and the aunt kindly told me that she would keep it aside for me and drive me back to the Cape so I could pick it up. Thanks for that!
