The place is where you just go to reset. So really away from everything and everyone. Take only enough clean water with you to drink.
Wow wow wow if you want to break away from the city with 10 stars of service in every possible aspect of this venue. I highly recommend. Special thanks to the farm manager for going the extra mile. Can't wait to go again.
We were 2 families with 4 boys who stayed in the renovated cellar. The dirt road to the cottages is quite corrugated, but is completely accessible for a regular sedan vehicle. Cell phone signal is not great and there is no WiFi. The cottages are 2km from the tasting room, where there is WiFi. You have to drive there again on the dirt road. Although we were not at the venue, it does look nice from the outside, with swings for the children. The house has since been changed - a wall next to the porch has been added with a hot tub. It uses quite a bit of wood to keep warm. (We used 2 bags of wood for the 3 days). 1 bag of wood is provided, otherwise you can buy from the farm. There are 2 en-suite bathrooms, as well as 2 more full bathrooms and a separate toilet next to the kitchen (5 toilets in total). The kitchen is excellently equipped, with extra dish towels in the drawers. The only things we would have appreciated extra were a fly swatter, bucket and floor cloth and dish cloths for hot dishes. There are cattle on the farm - we just had to close windows and doors for the flies. The microwave oven is too high - we moved it down because it's unsafe to pick up a hot bowl from that height. You should see the eucalyptus walk rather than a walk in nature. There is no clear path and many branches and tree stumps blocking it. However, it is beautiful to stand next to the pond at sunset and listen to the birds and frogs. We went for a walk in the mountain and found a very large herd of baboons in the cliffs. It is a rocky road and you need good shoes for it. Get a nice walking stick along the way to help. There is another hiking trail up by the dam. The children really enjoyed paddling and swimming at the pond. You can ride the bikes there or if you want to get some exercise, walk the 2km there. It is also accessible by 4x4 vehicle. There is a security light that burns all night, but the windows have good blackout curtains and blinds so that it doesn't disturb you when you sleep. The weekend on Bosch River was very enjoyable and we would definitely recommend it. Just remember to ask ahead of time if the DSTV needs to be switched on. Thank you for all your advice and kindness. It was nice to also hear a bit about the history of the buildings.
Thank you for a wonderful weekend on Bosch River. We totally relaxed - and the KolKol on the porch was a massive bonus! The cottage is perfectly located and tastefully furnished. Ideal for nature lovers who like to explore the mountains.

Beautifully restored accommodation, which is superbly and neatly furnished. Lovely time on the stoep and next door (with a view of the dam and the beginning of the Rûens). The hot tub is an excellent addition, and feel free to stop by the tasting room (with their equally friendly staff). We will definitely come again!
We were 5 adults staying in The Shed. This is great accommodation. The house is well furnished and was very nice and clean. We had a wonderful rest. Beautiful safe environment. Bosch River Accommodation is definitely worth a visit.

We were 4 adults who stayed in The Shed on Bosch River and can unequivocally say that it is great accommodation. An indoor braai kept the living area warm and cozy, while the wind and rain raged outside. We had a wonderful rest and also took advantage of some nice walking sessions on the farm! Bosch River Accommodation is definitely worth a visit!
Warm welcome and for our family reunion it was the ideal place, each in a separate house. The farm atmosphere contributed to a lovely family gathering and the owners were constantly available. We had a great time together!

Excellent location, very clean. If you want to be have a good rest and be away from the city noise this is the place for you. Units are fully equipped with a lot of extras. The only downside is the bad gravel road, you need to go there with a bakkie. Other than that excellent accommodation.

The available accommodation is just as good for the small traveller as it is for a group of 20 people. The inside braai in the school was an absolute winner when the weather was bad, and here we could have a great time and a braai with all our friends.
The farm manager came to fetch us when we lost our way there (we were ready to taste some wine!), but he was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the cottage. It had everything we needed and the kitchen was well equipped and clean. Loved the full DStv. The only thing that went wrong (it was our fault) is that we didn't close the bathroom window and a lot of bugs came in. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
