238 guests' feedbackWe had a very nice stay. Hanna spoiled us out of our socks with mutton tails, the most delicious chops and not to mention the fall off the bone lamb shank. The room was nice, comfortable and clean.
Good night's rest and excellent dinner options.
Fantastic! Delicious Karoo atmosphere.
Hanover is a charming town, with the most beautiful church building. We had a nice stay in Boutique Guesthouse, just a shame that the village is so run down and that rubbish is everywhere. It seems the museum doesn't exist either. What a pity!
Very good hostess - very good food!
Pleasant stay with delicious dinner. It was very cold, but air conditioning in rooms and electric blankets made it very pleasant.
Food and hospitality are great. Rooms are very nice and comfortable.
The accommodation was well appointed and very comfortable. The host was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was pleasant. I would consider staying there again in the future, and based on my experience, I recommend this facility for future travellers.
We stayed one night on the way through from CPT to JNB. It was comfortable and clean. We were offered dinner and breakfast options (the menu looked really good), although we did not eat there.
Rooms were very neat and clean and really very nice. Would stay there again anytime. Had a great time in the evening too. Hanna, the hostess, was an iron.
Very friendly hostess.
Very nice place and good food.
Hannah and Ronel were fantastic hosts and made us feel right at home. The guesthouse and facilities were great. It's next to the historic church, and we enjoyed taking a walk around it and the other sites in Hanover.
It was just a stopover but was dead right for what we were looking for.
Enjoy every moment. Third visit.
The staff were so helpful and messaged us before we arrived to make sure we were on our way safely. As we arrived, the staff directed us to secure parking. Louis was absolutely amazing! We had a slight problem in our room, but Louis made sure we were relocated to another room. The food was outstanding. Will definitely be staying there again! Thank you!
Hanna was a great host! She was friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The food was great!
The stay was pleasant and the staff were friendly. I will stay again.
We have stayed in many guest houses. We would recommend Boutique. We overnighted en route to KZN. Warm, friendly runs this small oasis in the middle of nowhere. Our room, number 7, was clean and fine. Maybe in need of some small fixes (loose light fitting and bubbling paint). Overall, a good stay. We did not know they served an evening meal, which they do from an à la carte menu. However, we did have breakfast. It was excellent and great value. Well done to.
We had a very lovely stay, one of the nicest places we have stayed at. We arrived late and were welcomed with open arms. Everything was comfortable and the food was delicious. The room was preheated and the electric blankets were switched on. This guesthouse is a hidden gem en route to the Cape. A definite must for all travellers.
Had no hot water in the morning, no microwave for the price you'd expect it to be there, also only limited DSTV channels, so we couldn't watch any rugby, but advert doesn't mention the limited channels!
The room was cosy and warm. It had everything we needed. The air-conditioner was noisy and needs to be serviced. The meal prices on the ad need to be removed as our dinner was expensive, not the prices shown. They insisted that our dinner tip must be in cash. Non-cash is the norm nowadays.
Accommodation was good, bed was nice and warm but very small. The bathroom needs a lot of attention and is very cramped. The wall in the bedroom has a lot of moisture. Dining room and food were good.
Accommodation is not bad, for the environment. Was very noisy - big party somewhere nearby, but not their fault. Issue with the TV - at first it didn't want to work, but after a struggle it worked out - but then there were no Sports Channels, feel free to buy them.
Friendly reception by Hanna and her team made the overnight stop in Hanover very special. Lovely guest house, a true oasis with fantastic rooms and secure parking in the Great Karoo. Dinner was incredibly delicious.
Fantastic. The dinner was amazing.
We ate and stayed very well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The air conditioning was specially turned on before we came. It's little things like that that make the biggest difference.
Lovely stay between Pretoria and Yzerfontein! Beautiful Karoo rooms. Fresh and real in every way. Definitely eat dinner and breakfast, and enjoy top-notch food and Karoo hospitality. We would love to stay here again!
Fantastic, will come again.
It is an oasis after a long journey to the beach from Pretoria. Very nice guest house.
Nice overnight stay. Very nice food. Secure parking.
Louis is an attentive host. Accommodation is comfortable, clean and peaceful. Delicious supper served in an old-fashioned dining room. Kudos to the owner.
Service is great and the meal was fantastically delicious! Enjoyed staying there.
What a wonderful place, the decor is so beautiful and everything is perfect. Dinner is definitely something to recommend, it was the highlight of our whole trip. Louis has been an excellent host and makes you feel so welcome. Really 5 stars, would give 6 if I could!
The place deserves 6 stars. The team at Boutique Guesthouse Hanover are fantastic and the food top notch.
What a wonderful place! Wish we could have stayed more nights. The rooms were lovely and kept warm for our arrival. The outside spaces were beautifully decorated with cosy, relaxing nooks created for guests. The dinner was absolutely out of this world amazing. The lamb shank was a favorite! Hanna and Isaac were so friendly and helpful. Their service went above and beyond and they really made our stay extra special. The establishment wouldn't be the same without them. We would recommend The Boutique Guesthouse to anyone weary from a long trip, needing a luxury break. It is a wonderful place to be!
Won't stay anywhere else. Everything is beautiful, neat and tasteful. Thank you for a wonderful time. See you again soon.
Was lovely to sleep there after a long drive.
See stars.
Food was put aside for us and a microwave was placed in our room to warm up the meal as well as a bucket of ice and wine glasses placed in the fridge.
The dinner and breakfast was absolueky delicious. Hanna was an amazing host.
Wonderful place to stay.
We hadn't been to Hanover in years and we were pleasantly surprised by the Boutique Guesthouse Hanover. The staff were friendly, check-in was easy and the accommodation was clean and very comfortable. There were lights even during load shedding. Will definitely be back.
Hanna and Ronel were particularly professional, friendly and helpful! Everything great!
We booked 2 rooms. Both were beautifully styled and beautifully clean. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had the best mutton dishes for dinner and a delicious breakfast. Hanna and her team were excellent!
It was so comfortable and clean. A gem in Hanover. Hanna and her team went out of their way to make it enjoyable for us. No request was too much trouble. The food was incredibly tasty and a lot of effort was put into the preparation. Rooms are clean and beds sleep well. Thank you!
Staff are friendly, rooms are neat and clean, decor is cool and quirky, dinner is tasty, breakfast portions are just a bit small.
The warmest welcome and most friendly staff. Very convenient stopover and has great food.
We overnighted in Hanover on our way back from Cape Town. The guest house was absolutely beautiful. Service was friendly and really good and our dinner was really fantastic. I would definitely recommend it!
Perfectly located for a stopover halfway to the Cape. Food is delicious and very comfortable rooms.
We stopped over for a night and enjoyed our stay.
We stopped at Boutique Guesthouse Hanover for one night and were impressed with the decor and general atmosphere. The welcome was friendly and the staff were very accommodating and attentive, although it felt at times like they weren't very experienced (there was some confusion about whiskey vs. brandy and how to prepare a cappuccino with plant milk that we had brought). The only disappointing aspects were that our room, although painted all white and very clean, lacked natural light and felt gloomy. The bathroom also had some features that didn't match the establishment's luxury billing. Would highly recommend Boutique Guesthouse Hanover for a short stay!
Property needs some renovation, roofs leak here and there. Otherwise it was very nice.
Hanover is so typical of the decline of country towns and the contrast that Boutique offers is all the more striking. The site is beautifully maintained and offers secure parking. All the buildings are well maintained and the dining room cozy, especially with the log fire on a cold winter's evening. The food was tasty and carefully prepared and presented — delicious! Our room was great, very neat and tastefully furnished with everything needed for 1 or 2 nights' sleep. It was nice to walk into a pre-heated room in the cold and have the warm sheet on the bed already on — the staff understand how to make you feel at home. All the staff we dealt with went out of their way to accommodate any request and were nothing but friendly and professional throughout, well done Hannah and your team.
Friendly service, delicious meals and beautiful accommodation. Only suggestion for improvement is to purchase a 'generator' to avoid the impact of power outages.
Hosts were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was lovely. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and recommended as a stopover between the Cape and Gauteng. Highly recommended.
Everything we needed for our half way stop. Food is excellent.
We loved our stay in Hanover. A green gem hidden in a dusty little town. Lovely food and very creative and elegant décor. I'll be back.
This is a gem of a place.
Go-to place on trips from Langebaan to Pretoria. Absolute beauty.
Special place to stay on the way to somewhere! Very nice, clean, nice dinners, nice visit by the fireplace. Jan-Sauer once again excelled with his handiwork! Our ex-De Aariete (ask your Dad) was proud to see what our friends' children are up to these days!
Be warmly welcomed by Hannah. Just feel at home.
The place is beautiful, we slept nice and warm (temperature was freezing outside) with electric blanket on bed and heaters in room and bathroom. A delicious meal in the most beautiful dining room next to a fireplace rounded off with good wine. Clean, neat and beautiful. We will definitely stay there again.
Very pretty. A little gem.
Clean and tidy with a cute restaurant. The wood fire in winter was welcome.
Good service from them even check-in later after an accident outside Laingsburg kept us waiting for more than 2 hours as the road were blocked off.
Clean, tidy and peaceful with the most delicious food and hospitality.
The guest house was very neat and clean, Hanna had been friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to spend the night there.
Hanna is an excellent manager of Boutique Guest House. This is my second time staying there and it's still such a lovely place to stay for a night. Excellent dinner - oxtail, good service and a lovely room with a large veranda to sit on.
Hanna's guesthouse is an oasis in the dusty streets of Hanover. Our room was stylishly furnished which contributed to a relaxing night's rest. Delicious lamb chops rounded off our evening perfectly. We will definitely stay at Hanna's place again in the future.
The dinner had been delicious. Will definitely be here overnight. However, I would like to suggest two things and that is to make stair rails and or an incline for people who have difficulty walking. It might also help a lot of people if there could be handrails in the showers.
Very nice stay! Very good service from the staff! Dinner was off the books!
The reception was very professional and Hanna was very friendly. Our room was very nice and everything was clean and tidy.
Thank you, just what was needed.
Had a very comfortable stay on our stop over from Joburg to Stellies.
What an awesome find. Beautifully decorated and perfect rooms and fantastic food.
The manager is extremely professional and friendly.
The lamb shank was a good choice. Lovely decor and friendly service from Hanna.
Picture-like, safe, friendly, spotless, hospitable, cool and centrally located between Gauteng and the Cape. Perfect!
The decor is impressive and sometimes quirky and is well-executed, reflecting the rural town in which the guest house is located. The staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable. It almost seems a shame to only spend one night here.
Very clean, restaurant is amazing. Great halfway stop between Johannesburg and Cape Town. Would definitely return.
It's a beautiful place with delicious food.
The guest house is incredibly beautiful and tidy but unfortunately the town is in a very very poor condition.
It's a beautiful boutique. I highly recommend you book your stay here. The host, Hanna was so accommodating and went out of her way to treat us well. I will definitely stay here again.
Genuine Karoo friendliness and pride. Room, bathroom and linen are sparkling clean. Simply must be the best in Hanover!
We had a great time relaxing after a long day of driving. The room was very comfortable and Hanna made us feel very welcome. We had dinner at the guest house and it was very nice. Will definitely stay there again.
I have never been to Hanover. So upon driving in I wondered what I was doing here? But the Guest House (single rooms) was a welcome surprise of beautiful, stylish decor, pure white linen, and delicious food. It's very cold in Hanover, so pack your warm clothes if you're traveling in winter. The food was very good (lamb shank with potato) but the options were few. Dinner is served at 18:30, and was only dinner, no starter or dessert. If you're not stopping along the way, pack your own wine and snacks if you arrive hungry before dinner is served. It's a special, unique place to stay overnight, in the middle of nowhere! I would stay there again!
A bit expensive if I compare to other places we have stayed such as e.g. space. Nice room and place. Owner will have to purchase a generator for when the power goes out, because when the power is out there is no water. But, we stayed very close.
We were surprised to see how beautiful the church opposite the guest house is! Very nice stay, clean and comfortable beds and good food. A small swimming pool for cooling off and safe parking.
I loved the way the hotel be is decorated! Very tastefully done.
The staff is well trained. Very quiet and clean.
Our overnight stay was good, loadshedding obviously plays a big role. There was no water before bedtime and in the early morning. For this reason it was unpleasant.
Ordered breakfast but the failed to deliver. First said we didn't, but it was on the sheet, so we just went without. Somewhat disappointing.
Quiet, tidy and the service was great.
Meal was partly good. Oxtail from one person was raw. Hanna, the person in charge was even aggressive when the problem was presented to her. Meal very unnecessarily expensive. Pot of tea R40. Dinner fixed price of R200 per head. Guest toilet was not working. Really very disappointed with the place.
Highly recommended! Had a nice time here. It's a must.
Hanna is a manager 100%. Her staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Personal service with genuine Karoo friendliness.
Hanna runs the guest house very professionally and friendly. From arrival to our departure, she did everything in her power to make our time as comfortable and convenient as possible. The food is top notch and the menu consists of interesting items (loved the lamb's tails as a starter and oxtail for mains). Will definitely stay there again and again and again.
A beautiful place with clean and spacious rooms. We only stayed for one night but definitely regret not being able to make more of the opportunity. The staff are friendly and helpful, they go out of their way to make you feel at home. Not even talking about this best oxtail dish that we indulged ourselves in.
Very good resting place and oasis, verandas, meals and good service.
The only comment we have is that the bathroom did not have towel rails and clothing hooks.
Each item is carefully selected and so beautiful to look at. We had a wonderful stay and were well rested for the next day's journey. The guest house is neat, quiet and safe.
Hearty and warm welcome by Hanna! Safe parking near my room. Room was nicely heated when I arrived. Crisp white linen and towels. Lovely room!
The best leg of lamb I have ever eaten in my life.
Very neat and clean.
From booking, to confirmation, arrival and check out everything was perfect! Guest house is very nice, tidy and conveniently located. The hospitality of the ladies is exceptional and the food was delicious!
We were incredibly surprised! Beautiful, clean, modern, very nice dinner. Hanna was amazing!
The large braai area is delicious. The staff is friendly, there was ice and wood. Clean, comfortable beds after a hot shower are just what is needed to feel rested!
When you drive into town it looks poor and abandoned. Don't turn around, the guest house is beautiful, safe, convenient, the staff very friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay pleasant, and the food (dinner and breakfast) is fantastic!
Don't let the condition of the town fool you. The guesthouse is like another world when you enter it. The food was delicious. Hannah and her team is the best and made us feel very welcome. Keep up the good work.
Small issue with the hot water. Fantastic dinner prepared by wonderful kitchen staff who really took great pride in preparing our meal. Highly recommend this guest house.
We spent the night and were kindly received by. Very nice and clean guest house.
The owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the guest house!
Helped Hanna nicely to get a long trailer into the yard.
Very nice place to stay on the way to the Cape. Nice people who look after you very well. Nice place to hang out where you can hang out with other guests and of course the food was fantastic!
Boutique Guesthouse Hanover is always our guest house of choice. The people are friendly, the rooms are very neat and comfortable and the food is incredibly tasty! We would never stay anywhere else and it is very convenient that we can also take our dog with us.
Perfect halfway destination on the way to the Cape. Friendly people, fantastic Karoo food and a nice place to visit for all the guests.
The service was excellent. Unit was spacious and well equipped. Food at restaurant was nice but could do with a little innovation. Will return again.
Perfect overnight destination on the way to the Cape. Very friendly reception and the room is very neat and comfortable. Dinner was fantastic.
Hanna and her team are great.
The area manager overflows with friendliness and helpfulness. They waited for us until after our car accident. The cook's food is fantastic!
Place very nice. Staff very friendly. Clean. Comfortable. Will stay there again. Nice town to walk around.
Church bells rang on the hour each hour, throughout the day and night.
Lovely place and good food.
Delicious dinner!
Lovely, clean and tidy accommodation. Thank you very much.
A good midway stop-over from Durban to Cape Town. Friendly staff, delicious meals, clean and safe environment. This stay-over came from a recommendation of a previous guest.
The room is basic, but ready for the night, perhaps lacking a table or something in the room to put your things on, no WiFi password, so had to do without.
Most delicious food, rooms a bit small but still comfortable. Everything very neat.
The rooms are attractive and spacious as are the grounds. The meals were on the pricey side, but well-prepared and served in a pleasant dining room. The town is a little run-down but picturesque. One strange thing which bothered us is that they lock you in the building for the night - you are only given a key to your own room and the building exits and parking gate are locked for the night - surely a fire hazard. If you'd like to go for a morning stroll or leave early, you will need to make special arrangements the evening before.
Great service. Peaceful quiet atmosphere.
See stars.
Venue is an island of comfort and hospitality in a village that's largely crumbling to pieces. An oasis between Gauteng and the Western Cape. Staff are attentive. Downside: Dinner was tasty, but small portion for giant price. I could have gobbled two servings.
There are a few maintenance issues that need to be taken care of in the room. I shouldn't be told how to fix the running water from the toilet cistern - not my job. Basin tap just kept going round and round - silicon all over the basin from a previous attempted fix. The friendly staff made the stay enjoyable. Supper was delicious. I think the liquor policy needs to be made clear on the website. They don't advertise as serving. When I brought my own wine they informed me they would charge me corkage. But they can only do that if they have a license that wasn't displayed. They should then also offer a better variety other than one red and one white.
See stars.
Very cute place, just a shame rooms themselves were not clean at all. Carpets in room are unhygienic and dirty, dust under carpets. Rooms need an urgent clean up.
Hanna and her team are really friendly, helpful and we had a wonderful stay. Dinner was delicious.
Ons het lekker skaapvleis geëet en gemaklik geslaap.
The staff were very pleasant and eager to please.
Beautiful rooms, friendly staff and delicious dinner.
Professional advance contact for arrival logistics plus post arrival check backs by staff were exceptional. Safety and feeling at ease was made certain of in many ways. Location and exclusivity were tremendous and decor and originality of experience just very memorable. A little confusion about meal orders and pricing, but the food quality was exceptional. Most importantly was the comfort of the room and its amenities which were spot on, especially the mattress and bed linen, plus heating.
Secure parking. Hostess service was outstanding.
I would like to thank Hanna again for her good service, kindness and professionalism. Hanna has a heart for the Boutique Guesthouse, she is definitely an asset to the management of the guesthouse. It would be a big plus if prospective guests could share directly with Hanna from the point of booking up to and including payment. I noticed that we had shared with Shevone, and that Hanna had only minimal information. Hanna is a star and runs the guest house with dedication.
Super efficient and a splendid hostess!
Boutique Guest House Hanover went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a fantastic meal. Definitely a place to visit!
Hannah was very friendly, and we really liked the decor, the dinner was delicious.
Hanna, is a very pleasant person and very professional.
Friendly service, good food (maybe a bit expensive) and comfortable clean room. It was a nice overnight experience. Thank you.
Fantastic hospitality, nice rooms, great food. Highly recommend replacing the shower head in our room, not a pleasant experience.
Hanover is in the middle of nowhere, but the Boutique Guesthouse is a quiet, reliable option to stay at between the Cape and Gauteng. It's not one of the busier places to stay, so expect the town to look empty. It is interesting to walk through the town and talk to the people about how they make a living there. Hanna and her team's service is fantastic.
It is something else, very peaceful. Can't believe there could be such a place in Hanover.
Silver clean rooms, with air conditioning and good bedding. Delicious dinner and pleasant atmosphere.
The special service is exceptional, but what breaks it down are the high costs for dinner. One would like to enjoy a Karoo mutton leg or shank because it is the Karoo, but for 5 people at R200 per head it amounts to R1000 for five plates of food and that is without dessert. The rooms and facilities are great and the parking space makes you feel safe that your car is safe. Why not complete the package with a better option for dining. So we left without breakfast because I was too afraid to ask how much it would cost one's pocket.
Place needs renovation and management needs to be more involved and take responsibility for their actions.
There were a lot of mosquitoes, we had to spray properly before we could go to sleep.
The driver is excellent, facilities and ambience truly South African.
Hanna is a great host and made us feel at home from the start and was very friendly. Very nice and tidy place. Would recommend it to everyone.

Big surprise in a small town. Many thanks to Hanna. Great service and top friendliness.
Never stopped in Hanover but what a surprise this guest house and the town itself was. We were treated so well and served the most delicious food. Of top quality.
We were so surprised to find such a beautiful guesthouse in the middle of nowhere! Highly recommended - beautiful decor, outstanding service and delicious meals.
Very cute place in Hanover. Definitely the best in town! Exactly what one needs after a long day's travel. Good food, modern accommodation. Will definitely stay here again.
Was very nice, we stayed in room 1. Please look just in case a rat or something died near/behind the aircon. Except for the smell, it was very nice. Our third time here, the smell was a first.
Neat, safe overnight accommodation with delicious food and friendly people.

A perfect place to stay, would definitely recommend Boutique Guesthouse Hanover. The service is excellent, and the food is delicious.
No more than just overnight.
Beautiful and tranquil little guest house. The room was lovely and Hanna was very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. You will definitely need to eat at their restaurant! Firstly because the food was divine and secondly because there are no other restaurants or shops.
It was so nice to unpack, have safe parking. The availability of wood and ice was a treat. We had a leisurely stroll on the porch. Thanks to Hanna for welcoming us so kindly. The air conditioning as well as the massive shower were perfect.
The rooms were really neat, the decor beautiful and ideal. The manager, Hannah, was so friendly and prepared a delicious meal for us. Would strongly recommend it.
Hanna and her team are excellent and friendly. Everything was beautiful, we had a great time. The food was top notch!
Really a very clean place.
My daughter and I stayed in the stylish and beautiful Boutique Guesthouse Hanover on a freezing winter evening. A very warm and hospitable welcome with sherry and a delicious log fire. The dinner was great with delicious food and very nicely served. Rooms are comfortable and beds sleep great. Car was frozen next morning due to -7ºC! The staff kept us warm with coffee and fireplace while we waited for the worst of the ice to melt and were very helpful and friendly throughout. I would definitely stay there again.
We were received very kindly, staff were helpful with unpacking and making comfortable, helped with the roller set, made sure that everything was accessible. The service, dinner, appearance of the guest house are top notch. At first you wonder if there could be such a stunning guest house in such a small town, but as soon as you turn off the busy N1 and park in the safe courtyard, you enter an old world charm. Everything is modern, but with a wonderful farmhouse atmosphere. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, we slept soundly in a night that registered -5.5ºC when we took the long road to Johannesburg early the next morning! The ringing of the church bell and clock took one back to childhood.
Beautifully decorated, clean and friendly service from all staff absolute pleasure. Will definitely stay there again.
Very neat and well equipped room, friendly service. Excellent Karoo food and especially good breakfast. Convenient location and a good stopover option on the inland to Cape Town route.
An oasis in the middle of the Karoo. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the place.
A gem. Didn't think it would be so beautiful. Friendly people who go out of their way to be hospitable. Definitely recommend.
Friendly staff. Unbelievably pretty and neat guesthouse. Clean. Food was mind blowing delicious and well presented. Hanna, you and your staff gets a 20 out of 10. Will definitely use you again and definitely recommend. Thank you!
Quiet and relaxing stopover. Made to feel welcome.
Hostess was great and attentive. Food good value for money. Room spacious, just bead frame did not match antique decor. stay was peaceful and the town lovely to stroll through.
Friendly service, delicious breakfast, and the most beautiful rooms! Was very nice and will make it my halfway stop every Cape holiday.
Beautiful place. Very friendly and good service.
We had a wonderful overnight stay and Rika, the manager, made us feel very much at home.
Beautiful guest house. Rika's food was outstanding, she is friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.
We prefer to stay at the Boutique Guesthouse in Hanover every time we travel to the Cape. The rooms are always very neat, tidy and clean. This time we were surprised with electric blankets for a very cold winter. The food is presented so carefully and is always of an exceptional quality. Rika is very hospitable, friendly and helpful as are the staff. The tranquility and very special service always make the long journey worthwhile. We recommend this Boutique Guesthouse to anyone.
Very cute place. The bathroom is a bit too small for the whole family. May need a separate shower.
Needs attention to detail. It's in the middle of the Karoo but no cold water or ice in fridge. One of the bedside lamps didn't have a globe, 2 globes of the main light did not work. Would have been nice to be able to drink Nescafe coffee in the room, instead of Ricoffy. Not that I'm using it, but most of the time they have a small shampoo and conditioner available in the bathrooms. Here they only had soap and cream.

What I remember best from my stay there was the food. Dinner was fantastic and breakfast dit not disappoint at all.
She will ensure you enjoy your stay.
Truly special place, decor fantastic, rooms tidy and reception and service excellent. Will definitely recommend.
We had a warm welcome at Boutique Guesthouse Hanover. Our room was tidy and clean and the food was delicious. They made our trip from Cape Town to Johannesburg a pleasure. Will recommend them any time and will definitely stay there again. Thank you to Hannah and Rika for your hospitality - thank you to Piet for giving me a plant from the beautiful garden!
An oasis. Neat and tidy. And Hannah a gem.
Lovely dining room and lounge area. Pretty bedrooms. Good food. Highly recommendable.
It was a lovely Karoo experience with great hospitality and tasteful accommodation and meals.
I will stay at the Boutique Guesthouse Hanover every time on my way to Cape Town!
Wonderful place to stopover on your way to the Cape. Top-notch food.
Beautiful accommodation, delicious food and breathtaking atmosphere. Will definitely stay there again.
What a lovely way to end our holiday. The rooms are stunning. The food was amazing. Friendly staff. Special thank you to Renata.
The room and atmosphere in the restaurant was unbeatable. No detail has been left out in the decoration of the place. The Karoo lamb was perfect. I will definitely stay there again.
I got a fright when we entered the town. But the guest house is very pretty and the food was amazing.
We had a great stay, the service was fantastic. I personally think that it is ludicrous to charge R200 a plate for 2 lamb loin chops and a handful of potato wedges and salad. The meal was great, but over valued by 50%.
The best halfway stop between Johannesburg and Cape Town ever. Nice overnight stay and well rested.
One dead horse town but filled with characters from a Dickens novel. All trying to survive.
Very nice guest house, but the dinner was a bit expensive for what we were served in my opinion, although the food was very nice. Manageress is friendly, but I wasn't shown the room at all when we got there and didn't explain what is where and how everything works. We were traveling with small children which she was aware of but our room only had a shower which was a bit uncomfortable, couldn't bathe my baby at all.
The room that was made available to us was not as advertised on their website.
See the stars.
One should not expect luxury in Hanover so prices should be accordingly, even if you are a so called boutique hotel.
Will stop there again.
Had a wonderful stay at Renate's. Clean room and bathroom. Renate prepared delicious braai meat on Braaiday and a lovely breakfast the next morning.
Outstanding. There was a very friendly lady who was particularly helpful. Breakfast good.
What an amazing gem in the middle of the Karoo - especially seeing it as a fabulous middle point between the western Cape and Gauteng. From food to decor to friendliness ─ all was amazing! If you need a place to rest your head, have a great cup of coffee or just enjoy the peaceful garden - this is the place to be!
Hanover is only about halfway to the Cape and we still had time to climb Trappiesberg to see the sunset. Renate received us warmly and the dinner and breakfast were attractively presented and tasty. Our room was beautiful and the Karoo silence ensured a wonderful night's rest.
Renate is a wonderful host and we fell in love with the amazing interior!
Maybe price for drinks is a bit expensive.
We had a very warm welcome and had a very nice stay. Dinner was delicious.
Renate was a fantastic hostess, the service was absolutely superb!
Many thanks to Philip for the pleasant stay.
Very accommodating. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful in an unexpected place! Unsurpassed hospitality! Lovely room, nice decor, well equipped - that air conditioning saved our lives! Dinner fantastic on the veranda with pleasant company of fellow travellers! Away from it like after a family visit. Too bad we only go there once a year!
A peaceful environment with wonderful, comfortable rooms with luxury linen in the Karoo that feels like it could be in Cape Town or Johannesburg. Thank you for friendly and professional service, Renate and team. Perfect halfway between JHB and Cape Town.
The food was nice and so was the room. The additional arrangement of a guide was special. It was a bit pricey compared to other places, but every now and then we don't mind a night out.
Beautiful and neat! Golden reception! Perfectly located halfway between Cape Coast and Gauteng.
A real oasis in the desert. I will definitely stay with you again next time I'm on my way to the Cape. Friendly people. Lovely stay. The food was delicious and the rooms beautiful with clean facilities.
Very friendly welcome! All the staff are very helpful! Guesthouse and rooms are beautiful, stylishly furnished, yet warm and relaxed feeling. If you are a private person, ask for a room with a private patio, some of the rooms open onto the patio.
A new place, with real hospitality. Still finishing touches here and there, but there is no shortage of enthusiasm and hospitality.
Hospitality was excellent, the meals top notch. We would definitely recommend and use again!

Beautiful guest house in peaceful surroundings. Friendly staff and delicious farm food dinner, as well as breakfast.
It is a beautiful little hotel in the middle of practically nowhere... Not much to do in town so we recommend it as I stay over in the half way between the Joburg - Cape Town drive. Good and personalized service , comfortable rooms and cute common areas. Breakfast was ok but do not expect decent food in general.. We had dinner and it was very bad :( .... And expensive!!. For the rest, we liked it very much :))
