Certainly one of the cleanest and best equipped places we have ever stayed. Additionally, the owner left his car outside to park mine in the garage when 'off street' parking was full.

We had a great stay at C'est La Vie Self Catering Apartment. The unit is spacious with the most beautiful sea view from almost every living area. The host and hostess were available for requests we had. The unit has everything one needs and is close to shops, restaurants as well as Cape Town, etc. It is a quiet area and private if one wants to switch off. Table Mountain can be seen from the beach near the house and also has the most beautiful sunsets over the sea.
We had been provided with wood and blitz to braai, as well as complimentary wine. The living area was wonderful, especially with a cool breeze flowing through. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking, and there were enough plates, cutlery, and glasses.

Beautiful place. Has everything we needed. The host made contact with us before arrival to arrange for entry, etc. The area is quiet and on a MyCity bus route. The area seems very safe to me; the vehicles are parked on the street, but we were never concerned about problems. I will surely stay over next time when we need accommodation in the Cape Town surrounding.
Absolutely amazing. The inside is so well decorated and it gives such a beach vibe. Exactly what I was looking for. The experience was hassle-free, and I would definitely visit again.
We stayed at C'est La Vie again this year for our anniversary. Yet again, the apartment is clean, warm, and welcoming with an amazing view — even with all the rain. Plus, we actually got engaged on Sunday the 9th of July while in Melkbosstrand, so now it is even more of a special occasion to visit again!

Great location and walking distance to a beautiful, peaceful beach. The residential unit has everything, even wood for the first night's barbecue. The bed is super soft - could sleep for days. Definitely value for money.
The location is good. The beach is within walking distance. You can see the beach from anywhere from the residence. I will definitely go again. The driver's service is excellent, you get immediate feedback on any queries. My teenagers were certainly impressed with the view.

My husband and I had such a peaceful stay here. It's right by the beach and located in a quiet area. The hospitality we received from Jacques was also lovely.
Very comfortable and well appointed. The only suggestion is that maybe they should consider putting a comfortable couch in the braai room, because the current couches are nice but not comfortable to sit on and watch TV for a long time. We just watched TV in the room on the bed. Nice quiet and nice view of the sea.

We were welcomed with a bottle of red wine, beer in the fridge, and chocolates. The bed, linen and towels were of good quality. We had a very nice stay. The 21 stairs up to the apartment is a negative point, with no light on the stairs in the evening. Otherwise we were very satisfied.

The place is really value for money, you are very private and far from the city's hustle and bustle, yet close to convenient routes. The accommodation is excellent, and of high quality. I will definitely use again. Melkbos is a lovely walking beach, with the nicest places to eat and the most beautiful sunsets. Friendliest people and dogs! The bonus here is - it's the safest town in SA and truly I've tried everything; from Thai massage to public transport with no problems. 5 star! Well done, you guys.
Owners are very friendly. Place was nice clean and tidy and one immediately felt welcome as it was furnished as if it was your own home. We had a great rest and the beach is walking distance which is a big bonus.

The accommodation was very comfortable - the apartment is in excellent condition, tidy and very clean. It is perfectly furnished with everything one could possibly need on vacation! We were pleasantly surprised by the beach view, and Table Mountain peeking out at you when you cook in the morning. And the sunset from that porch is something to experience! The owner was very helpful, and even put a bottle of wine in the fridge for us for our arrival. The apartment has secure parking and is in a very quiet area. It is a short walk from the beach, and from there not too far to the restaurants. The MyCiti bus also stops just outside the house, which makes it very convenient if you want to go to the city or just travel in Melkbos without any worries. We only regret that we only stayed there for two nights, and hope to return again soon!
The owner, Jacques Buitendag, welcomed us very hospitably. We made good use of the indoor grill. Jacques even brought us salt when we realized we hadn't brought it with us. The sunsets over the sea were a treat to enjoy from the spacious balcony. The accommodation offers so much equipment that we didn't even use half of. We come again!
