There are 12 campsites along the bank of the dry riverbed, with access to shared ablutions and washing-up areas, built out of natural stone. Each camp site has a power point and its own braai facilities. Campers are welcome to make use of the lodge facilities.
The lodge boasts a farm-style swimming pool, a petrol station, an inviting terrace, and a restaurant. The lodge is adorned with rusty old Chevys and Fords from a bygone era, as well as an international truck serving as the reception desk. An assortment of classic vehicles and transport paraphernalia have been assembled with an innovative and creative flair; restaurant tables are placed in between, and the cabs of several cars serve as fireplaces in the chilly winter months.
A beautiful sunset is best appreciated from the hill above the lodge, looking out onto the flat-topped Holoog Mountain and the Gondwana Canyon Park. The lodge offers activities for an additional charge, such as a guided excursion to the canyon viewpoints, hiking trails, and 4x4 trails.

The Roadhouse is great for a beer at the bar and we even did a breakfast buffet in the morning which made cleaning while camping even easier! Plus there's a pool! Can only recommend!
Wonderful place with beautiful friendly people. We used the campsite and the restaurant and were very pleased with the cleanliness, serviceability and beauty of all the facilities.
Everything was wonderful - especially the porcupine and gemsbok that came to visit at night!

Something special, the decor of the restaurant / reception. Very friendly. The only reason for 4 star is cleanliness instead of 5 is that the staff definitely do not clean the showers, cubicles, properly. Reported this upon receipt as well. But still we had a wonderful visit.

It was peaceful and quiet. Facilities very good and spotless. But what makes the place so special is its garden, reception and restaurant area. It's so beautiful, interesting and the food was top notch. Especially the bathrooms. It is quite expensive, but the customer service and food were top notch.

Meals in restaurant were delicious. Cute with so much detail.
The pitches are exceptionally large. We were able to get enough distance between our 2 'off road trailers' on one pitch (no. 9) with ease. The bathrooms were always spotless and of course the restaurant is an experience and a nice place to visit. Each stand has its own braai and faucet with a proper light over the braai.
I would recommend without hesitation.

Campsites are spacious and ablution facilities neat and clean. It's just a lot more expensive than any other campsite we stayed at during our trip.
We hiked the Fish River Canyon and it was the best accommodation we could find. Will definitely suggest it. Safe parking for the vehicle and there was a service to drop us off at the hiking point and pick us up again after the walk. Clean and tidy.
Really a refreshing place to stop over. The place is just great.
