The area is fairly isolated, which is all part of its charm, in this very special place in the world. Cape Cross forms part of a protected National Recreational Park which is pristine and rugged at the same time. Cape Cross is known for its breeding colony of thousands of Cape fur seals and is at the doorstep of a historic landmark.
This spacious, high-quality house can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, and a large open-plan kitchen, lounge, dining area, and a bar.
The first bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and a bath. The second and third bedrooms are each furnished with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom that is fitted with a shower. The fourth bedroom is fitted with 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom that is fitted with a shower.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a gas stove, a dishwasher, ample cutlery, glassware, crockery, and glassware. Hot water is supplied by a gas geyser. Electricity is supplied by solar, wind and generators from the nearby lodge and is only on only during peak times of the day. Please bring your own candles, as well as wood for the lounge fire and charcoal for the outside Weber braai.
There is a lodge a few steps away if you don’t feel like cooking and desire some company in this peaceful enclave. Although be aware that due to its remoteness, in a National Recreational Park, the services are minimal.

3 guests' feedbackHad a great stay in this spacious double storey home with everything you could need. The indoor grill was a bonus as it was a little too cool at night to grill outside.
The kitchen is very well appointed, and the living room is a really great place to sit and kuier whilst watching the fireplace doing its job. Although a weber braai was available, an outside braai will add great value. Overall we had a great time and we can highly recommend the place.
Would appreciate back up power after main power supply goes off. Suggest that a cleaner is available for the duration of stay at no additional cost.

House rules
Please note that the majority of the roads in Namibia are regularly graded gravel roads.A 4-wheel drive vehicle with high ground clearance is recommended in order to drive to Cape Cross.
Due to it's remoteness, no cleaning services are available. The house will be cleaned before your arrival.
Water is either from lodge or trucked in, so please be sensitive with level of use in our desert country.
Electricity is powered by wind/generators at Lodge, and is only on only at peak times. Approximately 06:00 - 09:00 and 12:00 - 15:00.
Candles as well as wood for lounge fire and charcoal for braai will be provided; but as with camping, you are advised to bring extra in case these run out.
