Margate is a very popular resort town that boasts great beaches, an Olympic-size swimming pool, and also an African craft market. Within 50 km are Oribi Gorge which offers the longest zip line in Africa, mountain biking, hiking, white water rafting, and a nature reserve. Furthermore, the Wild Sun Casino is also less than 50km away. Shelly Beach has movies, two shopping malls, deep-sea fishing, dolphin and whale watching as well as diving at Protea Banks.
