The unit is beautifully neat and modern, as well as well equipped with everything you need. Plekkie is suitable for overnight or longer visits and will without a doubt use the place again.

What a nice place. Enough space for the four of us. Fridge, kettle, microwave, and enough cutlery not to look for anything. The place is very quiet, your ears ring clean, and it's calming to sit over the pond and look out. Little shop is nice and close, 3 minutes' walk. There's a forest path down to the pond, really a place to relax and not much to worry about. Felt safe all the time.
We were warmly received and therefore immediately felt at home. The unit we stayed in was very neat and clean (unit no. 1). However, it is a shame that a kitchen sink is missing to wash utensils after use. The amount of parking is sufficient but could perhaps be arranged.
Very nice stay. Hot water at the bath was a problem that night, but the next morning it was fine. Possibly a pressure problem affecting the gas geyser.

Spacious room and my wife specially requested a bathroom with a bathtub. She was very happy to find a bath in the bathroom. We looked out on the pond from our bed and the sunset was unbeatable. I can recommend CasaMere with an open mind.

The absence of a place to eat late Sunday afternoon was a bit of a bummer, but we understand that the restaurants also need to rest. At least we could make a plan because there was a shop open. The visit to the dam on the way out was more than worth it. The electric gate provides a sense of security. Thank you.

Appropriately appointed apartment - we stayed here about three years ago and there has been a substantial improvement. However still some minor gripes - don't arrive late - the lady welcoming us was not prepared to wait and ensure you have your wood and food for braai - very limited shops when arriving. Irrigation goes off at 20h00 - so if you wish to braai that late, you will get wet. All in all a beautiful place to stay - the unit we stayed in (again - apartment 1) is an open plan studio-type apartment with a double bed and bunk bed and one toilet/bathroom - so the toilet/bathroom queue can be a bit frustrating but great value for what you pay.
We had a great stay and will stay there again. We had a barbecue and the small lawn is nice for small children. The view over the pond is blissful and the area is quiet.

Excellent view of the dam, and excellent service. However, the road to Vanderkloof is not in good condition, so avoid driving in the evening.
Location next to the dam is very beautiful. Our unit was nice and private. Just a pity that the roads up to Vanderkloofdam are so full of potholes. From Pretori, Kimberley is just a short turn away. Otherwise, we have no complaints.

Getting there turned out a disaster. Even with us making a wrong turn and driving many more Km than needed the directed route from Kimberley had a thousand and one potholes most of which we could avoid. But the pain of hitting a few was traumatic. A better route has to be found that gives town names or significant signposts as well. Beautiful sight though!
We overnighted at CasaMere at the Vanderkloof dam. A well-situated facility with stunning views over the dam. It is a work in progress. The rooms were clean and neat, but extremely cold (icy floor tiles - no carpets. ) The shower door does not close and the shower head is malfunctioning. The configuration of the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom was a bit odd, but as I said, it is a work in progress. The staff is friendly and helpful and we wish them all of the best with this venture.
As a tip for the CasaMere team, maybe they can look into alternative power supply given the current state with loadshedding. CasaMere can also look at more units that provide single beds for single group travelers.

We really enjoyed the stay, the rooms were neat and the location is unbeatable. However, the room we stayed in (number 5) lacks 2 chairs/sofas as the only seating is on the bed which is uncomfortable.

Appreciated the cleaning of our room every day. We had the best room. There as we were at the end. Very uncomfortable shuffling past people trying to braai as we move in. Parking needs more organisation, otherwise a pleasant stay. No one to greet when we left so we just left.
It is advertised as self-catering, but there are things that are not quite in place yet. No place to sit except on the bed. No washing up facilities in the apartment. There are washing facilities outside around the corner.
The view over the dam is beautiful. The quality of e.g. the furniture and equipment in the room are excellent. Suggestions: A washing tray for dishes would be welcome.

What a beautiful little town overlooking the dam. Beautiful sunset. Big clean room with everything we needed. Our only suggestion would be to put a small wash up basin for dishes in the room. There is plenty of space and plumbing is all there on the other side of the shower. Washing dishes in the hand basin was difficult. If you were to stay for more than one night this would be a problem. Also perhaps a small braai area closer to the unit would be nice as we could not sit on the verandah and braai and the wind was blowing very hard which made braaing under the tree where the braai was difficult. Other than that it was an awesome destination. Thank you.

We had two units next to each other to accommodate our family, and the adjoining kitchen area was very useful. Beds are super comfy, fluffy towels, all the necessities in the kitchen are there. We collected food at the local Oppideck. The aircon is a bonus and much needed. I travelled with animals and it was no problem for them to stay there.
