My spouse was in Rosepark Hospital for surgery. I stayed at Castello Guest House. Very pleasant.
The receptionist is very friendly and helpful, a great asset to the guest house. Furthermore, it is very neat and clean. Rooms comfortable with electric blankets and tasteful. All that was inconvenient for me were the sports channels and that 201 or 210 are not available, especially now with the tennis and rugby. But other than that I would recommend Castello for sure!

Most beautiful guest house and friendly staff. The guest house is really just badly located. Could barely sleep, lots of dogs barking and next to a very busy road. Rooms are beautiful and nicely furnished.
Our stay at Castello Guest House was marred by several shortcomings, including unfriendly staff, proximity to smoking areas, insufficient parking, and thin walls. I would not recommend this guest house to fellow travellers.

Would love to know where all the rooms are when I booked, felt like I was going to be left far behind. They spray perfume in the room when they clean, it was a bit strong, they can spray less. Room was nice and cozy and beds slept great. Asked to buy extra milk and water, none available and had to go out to buy at gas station. Otherwise they were accommodating and friendly. Have fun.

The only negative comment - we stayed in room no. 1 slept. The large steel entrance gate was in operation from very early on and was quite disturbing. I assume from personnel reporting for duty. Maybe then consider your smaller gate with magnet system.
I stayed in Castello with my parents and then alone, for about 1,5 weeks. One of my parents was in the hospital and we needed to be flexible with our dates as we weren't sure when he would be discharged. The customer service was amazing. When we needed to get laundry done on the weekend, when I needed to extend my stay day to day etc. Everyone was friendly. I want to call out Chane, who made the stay so pleasant and went out of her way, every step of the way to accommodate us. Location is great, walking distance to hospital and there are shops close by. The rooms are warm and clean. The self-catering unit is spacious and caters for about 4 people from a kitchen perspective, but don't expect to cook up a storm. Highly recommend Castello.

The rooms were extremely large and comfortable and definitely value for money.
Castello's management only needs to make sure that rooms are ready for the number of guests sleeping in a room. For example, our room only had one bath towel and only one hot chocolate package, while there are two of us. The same was for the other room where there were also two persons. There was e.g. no coffee in the room.

I had to give staff member a wake-up call early at 06:00 to open the gate because there was no key pad in sight. I suppose is for security reasons, but what if you have to be at the hospital bay 06:00?
