63 guests' feedbackWe had a fabulous stay at Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge. It is the closest you will get to the Crocodile Bridge Gate, which is great. The rooms were very clean and neat and overlooked the Crocodile River. However, the best part was the hospitality offered by the management and staff of the lodge. There is a great swimming pool and a lookout deck right on the Crocodile River. We saw a herd of about 25 elephants pass less than 100m away while sitting on the deck. The food offered was absolutely delicious, proper South African with various braaied (barbequed) meats and really delicious sides.
Exceptional service and accommodation! We had a pride of 9 lions right next to the camp perimeter one evening and we definitely recommend Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge for a getaway! It's 200 metres from the Kruger National Park gate and you have a choice of daily drives into the park on a safari vehicle which adds to the experience!
I couldn't have asked for a better place. The people are extremely friendly with lots of knowledge. Saw hippo, hyena, giraffes and buffalo from the deck with a awesome view of the river. 10/10 would recommend. Will definitely go again.
We had a wonderful first wedding anniversary. All the people there are incredibly friendly and helpful. From reception we felt comfortable and at home. The food was really fantastic. The view and sunset took our breath away. Rooms are very neat and look out on the beautiful river. We will definitely go back next year. One for the books!

Thank you so much to Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge. We enjoyed our time there tremendously. The units are very neat and well equipped, the view is amazing and the food was delicious. You go out of your way to think of the little things like ice, dessert, swimming towels etc. We will definitely see you again in the future.
We had an incredibly nice stay! Every morning one of the first in the Wildtuin with our food packages. So much excitement at Lodge itself with the animals on the other side of the wire, we almost didn't want to go into the Wildlife Park and maybe miss something. The owners are incredibly friendly and draw you in with stories of their life journey and incredible recipes for their delicious food and dessert! I would recommend the place to anyone. Thank you for our nice visit.
Perfect lodge by the river with a beautiful view! You sit on the deck and see all the wildlife and birds. The breakfast and dinner are top notch. Bruce and Ilze make the experience extra special with their hospitality and knowledge.
Unbelievably enjoyed. The food was fantastic. We will definitely visit them again and recommend them to friends.
People are very friendly, place is tidy, location is perfect, value for money! Parking was safe, food was delicious. They are very professional and make you feel very welcome! Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
We had a great time, it's a very nice place with very friendly people. We were only disappointed in the dinner, on their page it was said... (Dinner - set menu meals comprising of traditional South African dishes, which would be one of the following: A Braai (BBQ), a Potjie Pot (Stews) , a Curry dish, a Lasagna, etc.) But we got barbecue meat to eat every night, which was nice, but eating barbecue meat for 4 nights in a row was not nice.
Enjoyed the hospitality and setting.
Allan and Michelle were excellent, felt like the wildlife park at home. Hospitality outstanding, and so is the food!!! Would definitely recommend and go again. The position is excellent, literally by the crocodile bridge. Quality of accommodation and facilities excellent.
Excellent hospitality and unbeatable meals

Incredible place with hospitality from top shelves. The scenery is breathtaking. It is basically 100 m from the Kruger National Park gate that makes it even more special. Nothing is too much for them to help you. I'm definitely going again.
We were received hospitably, rooms comfortable, clean and tidy. Ideal for groups or couples who like to socialize with other guests. We had a great time with all the guests at the braai and around the big table. Side dishes served were tasty! Lovely view of the river and game garden.
The team at Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge are fantastic. We got there late and they made sure we could barbecue. The saam braai is a winner with tasty side dishes, as well as a nice visit with all the guests. The rooms are particularly clean and tidy. For me the pillows were a winner as this is usually a problem. Many Thanks Croc Bridge Team, we will be back.
A beautiful lodge on the Crocodile River with beautiful views, beautiful rooms and hospitable owners.
Friendly reception and staff. The joint barbecue and food was very nice.
Upon arrival we received a warm welcome and immediately felt at home. The people there treated us very nice and I would definitely go back.
Was really nice. Very friendly people who are so helpful.
This is the place to stay. Excellent location. You can just sit at your tent and you'll see the animals. The owners, Allan and Michelle, as well as the managers, Bruce and Ilse are one of a kind. You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. The communal braai at night was delicious and the side dishes were of the best quality. We decided against a sunset drive just to not miss out on the braai. Would stay there again in the future.
Hospitality was incredible and everyone made me feel at home immediately. Will definitely go again. Rooms are comfortable and neat.
Been there before and new management has made many changes that make it much more comfortable for the tourist.
Location is fantastic - right on the banks of the Crocodile River and right at the Kruger Park Crocodile Bridge Gate. Tent accommodation is top notch. Very friendly host and wife. Safe location.
Fishing on site is advertised but does not exist, WiFi did not work and no one was available to help with luggage. Location is ideal for tourists who want to visit Kruger Park or just want to sleep one night. I wanted to fish and had to drive into Komatipoort and come back early because the gate closes early for security reasons.
We spent the night at Crocodile Bride Safari Lodge and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The beautiful view of the Crocodile River and the privilege to view the animals from the patio was truly something special! We were warmly welcomed and can really recommend it! Would definitely make use of this opportunity again! Thank you!
Thank you for hospitality, clean and neat facilities! Excellent service!
Wonderful reception, friendly people whom makes your stay extra special. Stunning place and very clean.
Fantasy driving! Made many new friends and had a great time.
You genuinely get to rest here. I can recommend it to anyone!
Excellent management and they look after their clients. First time we encountered perfection at a lodge. We travel a lot, but this time around we really don't have any complaints.
Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge was fabulous, it had exactly what we needed. It had a lovely view and was in a peaceful and tranquil spot in the middle of the bush! We will definitely be back!
The concept of you bring your own meat, grill it and then have side dishes provided by the hosts. Everyone eats together while looking out over the river. So meet people from all over the world who make their home here. Unfortunately, I was quite ill that evening and couldn't fully enjoy the atmosphere with everyone.
The family business is very well run and they create the opportunity for "A Bring-and-Braai". Guests bring their own meat and drink and they make the fire and women provide side dishes, real bring-and-braai culture. Great to chat with guests from other countries and South Africans about the Kruger National Park. Very nice place!
We stayed 4 days, Michelle and Alan are excellent hosts. They are knowledgeable about the area and animals, and we will definitely be coming back.
We had an incredible visit - every aspect of this establishment met/exceeded our expectations. Well done - excellent job!
The location of the place is fantastic. We were lucky to see a cheetah catch an impala and get chased away by a baboon while we sat quietly cooling off in the pool. The location of the place is amazing because you can literally see all the wildlife species without moving a foot. The elephants wake you up at 4 in the morning while they calmly enjoy their breakfast literally meters away from you. Really value for money and we will be going back there again soon.
It was very nice. It also has a very nice atmosphere and we had a nice stay with the other guests. Cute idea. Must mention that the air-conditioning did not word properly on the floor. But fantastic view and pleasant experience.
I feel that this is a great alternative to a camping experience. The units are comfortable and very neat. For travelers who prefer to be more isolated from others, it will be less suitable. The owners are very hospitable and it is ideally located for day trips in the Wildlife Park. The view is also very beautiful and the animals visit the river and the surroundings, so the animal experience is wonderful. It is quiet and peaceful on site.
Location very good, close to the game park.
Management is too pushy. It's not self-care. The communal barbecue is dominated by the manager. We were looking for space. There is no dressing room or kitchen. The entrance looks like a scrap yard.
Scott & Kie made us feel welcome and at home as soon as we stepped in. They also do not hesitate to go out of their way to arrange things for their guests. The view over the wildlife park and river was excellent.
Every single thing surpassed our expectations. Caron was the perfect hostess; the evenings around the fire and communal tables made for much laughter and memories.
One of the best places I have visited to date, neat as a pin, exceptional views of the river, stunning hosts!
Scott and his wife received us warmly, we had a barbecue together that evening by the river. We spent the night at Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge on our way to Maputo. The room is clean, tidy and better equipped than most luxury rooms we have stayed in. I would stay at the Walkers again anytime, it was enjoyable.
One of the nicest tented venues yet visited. Warm and friendly hosts.
Owner goes out of her way to make it enjoyable for everyone. Hanging around the fire in the evenings with strange people was wonderful. Will definitely go again.
Awesome venue overlooks the Crocodile River in the Kruger Park. We watched elephant, rhino and buffalo grazing from our patio. Waking up to the sights and sounds of the bush, easy access to the Crocodile Bridge Gate as the lodge is less than a kilometer from the bridge. I would recommend the venue any day.
The view and sunset are beautiful, and the wildlife walking curiously up and down the shore is a bonus. The location is great because it is so close to the Kruger National Park. We can recommend the lodge and we will definitely go again.
Second time we stay here. The more private unit was much nicer than the first time with the communal kitchen. But we still met cute fellow guests and had a good time and rested.
I was pleasantly surprised upon our arrival there. The owner and his wife are exceptionally hospitable and friendly. We had a very pleasant time there and hung out as if we were family or had known each other for years. I would definitely stay there again and think it was and is worth every penny. It's a beautiful place and the view over the Kruger Wildlife Park and the river is absolutely breathtaking.
An absolutely stunning venue with owners who know exactly what you need to disengage from city life. The venue is immaculately clean and serviced on a daily basis. The term assisted self catering is more suitable as the fire is prepared on your behalf as well as salad. You just need to bring your meat and drinks. The tents are of excellent quality and even better than the ones in Kruger. Simply fantastic!
My wife, myself, and our 29 year old son stayed here for 7 days in 2 "tents", spent 3 of those days in the Kruger and just relaxed the other 4 here. Loved the evening Braais and social gatherings with other guests from all over the world. Caron and Scott made us feel absolutely at home and catered for our every whim. I would recommend this lodge to everyone that wants to chill. The tented accommodation is tops and has everything you need. Make sure you bring your own meat and drinks from day one, but should you forget, they will supply that as well and they also supply side dishes every night for those that stay and braai. Neill. Just Three words to describe my experience at Croc Bridge Safari Lodge: Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! My wife and I went there for our first wedding anniversary on the 24th of April 2014. Upon arrival, we were informed that we are placed in one of the deck tent houses overlooking the Croc River. Wildlife and Surrounds: During our first night we could hear hippos, hyenas and lions whilst lying in bed! This was quite special. We spent most our time in the Kruger Park, however upon return to the lodge we were treated to beautiful sunsets where you can watch animals such as Giraffes, buffalo, elephants, impala, wildebeest and rhino(if you are lucky)from the deck of your house. In the morning, the sun lights up the whole embankment, making all animals in the vicinity visible. Make sure to pack some binoculars as well! During our last night at Croc bridge safari lodge, an elephant came up to the fence right in front of our house, approximately 6m from the deck. This was just one of many highlights during our stay. House unit: As I have mentioned, the house is build upon a wooden deck. The shower is overlooking the river, however you still have privacy whilst being in the bathroom so no one can look in. The kitchen is situated next to the tent house on the outside and is well equipped with all the essentials to cook food. The tent house is also fitted with an air conditioner for those hot summer months. The lodge also offer a cleaning service so you can be sure to get a tidy house when you come back from the Kruger Park. People and Catering: The staff and management of the lodge is very friendly and professional. They go out of their way to ensure that you have everything you need. They also like to interact with guests and you feel that you become part of a family when you leave. The catering at the lodge was excellent. I would strongly recommend the breakfast. You have to pay for it extra but it's worth it. Also there are very few restuarants in the Komatipoort area so rather tell the people at the lodge that you would like a braai in the evenings. They make a nice fire and provide side dishes so you only need to bring meat and drinks. You are then guaranteed to have good food and good company. I would like to thank all staff the management of Croc Bridge Safari Lodge for making our stay so special. I will definitely return and recommend your lodge to all my friends and anyone else who would listen. Hope to see you soon!
Relaxing atmosphere.
Pleasant experience: calm, safe and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. The place is clean and tidy. Thank you very much!
We had a great time relaxing and hanging out together. The lodge is very well located for day visits to the wildlife park. Would recommend to any person
Special people, incredible atmosphere and a breathtaking experience in nature. It was located close to a variety of activities, but remote enough to forget and relax. Would recommend to anyone.
