The 14-sleeper Johnnie se Huis consists of 5 bedrooms that are furnished with double and single beds and shares 2 bathrooms. Adams se Huis can accommodate up to 9 guests and features 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Volstruisie and Boklied are 2 cottages situated next to each other ideal for a group of 5 and is furnished with double and single beds. For convenience, all linen and towels are provided for all the units. Please bring your own towels.
The house, as well as the cottages, have a kitchen that is equipped with a fridge-freezer, a microwave, and a stove. Braai facilities are also available. Meals are available on request for groups of 4 or more. The farmhouses have swimming pools while the cottages share the use of the pool at Adams se Huis 100 m away.
Activities on the farm consist of walking, cycling as well as 4x4 routes. Damsedrif Gasteplaas farms with essential oils and small livestock and guests can be shown around if they are interested. Please note guests will travel on a gravel road to reach the farm which is not always suitable for an ordinary vehicle. A 4x4 is not essential. Pease ask about the condition of the road when booking is confirmed.
Pets are not allowed.

33 guests' feedbackEverything is beautiful, clean and tidy, and the kitchen in the accommodation is fully equipped with everything needed. The hostess was very friendly and helpful, and gave good advice on activities in the area. We had a great time around the barbecue fire in the quiet and peaceful surroundings.

Very nice with nothing missing in the house.
Our reservation was for the Goat and Ostrich unit, but the owners made the big old farmhouse available to us which was a great surprise. We were received very kindly, felt very welcome and were even allowed to book ahead of time. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a very large well appointed kitchen, lounge and a fantastic massive veranda. It was very nice and comfortable and we could get the feeling of farm life again, which was the icing on the cake. The house was neat, comfortable and very comfortable and the braai facilities were also very nice. We really enjoyed hanging out on the stoep and just being able to take in the silence and natural beauty. Had a great time and slept and was completely rested for our tour through the nature reserve.

Very friendly welcome. Drove through Baviaanskloof, and enjoyed the nice overnight stop. After a long journey, we were offered the large detached farmhouse with a cozy fire and silence.
We didn't pre-arrange for dinner, but a plan was made and we had the most delicious barbecue for dinner.
The spacious house met all our needs.
Very comfortable house with a lovely large patio. Beautiful gorge walk. Hestelle and her daughter went to extra lengths and brought us dessert for one of our birthdays!
House is private with 5 bedrooms and enough facilities at a reasonable price per person, so good value for money. The freshwater splash pool was a lifesaver on an extremely hot day in the Kloof. Would love to stay there again.

We stayed in a lovely large farmhouse, with a small swimming pool. We could walk a long way on the farm and enjoy the area. It was also a big plus that we had a fence around the house to keep our dogs separated from the farm activities. Friendly service. Thank you very much.

Close to nature. Beautiful hiking trails and unique vegetation. The gorge opposite Damsedrif Gasteplaas is an excellent demonstration of the evolution of the earth.

Wonderful place to spend the night in the heart of the gorge. Pleasant stay and people who feel like you've known them for years. Will definitely book with them again!
Peaceful in nature and surrounded by the natural vegetation - the raindrops on the leaves create a wonderful atmosphere.

We stayed 2 nights. Johnnie's house is wonderfully big and very clean and tidy. Everything needed for self-care is there.
Wonderful silence, no phones that bother and safe!
It was wonderul, but unfortunatley our fridge in Volstruisie was out of order. The firdge in Boklied was in working order but due to all the ice the ice in the water in the ice trays wouldn't freeze. We felt oblidged to switch off the fridge to make it easier for the next guests. Great reception by Hestelle, we will be back.
Thank you to our hostess. The little houses were well equipped with everything needed for a great night's stay. We were treated with a decanter of muscadel. Just a wonderful time.
