We had a great stay at De Branders 57. The unit is spacious, tidy and in good condition. The most beautiful views from the unit over the sea. Walking distance from the Seafront shopping centre. I just might have preferred a dishwasher in the unit.

Loved De Branders. Safe, clean, beautiful views and walks, don't even have to get into the car for anything. Maybe just add an extra chargeable light because of load shedding. Not always easy to take all the needed things with you if you fly down.
Very neat unit right on the beach. Within walking distance of everything. Would highly recommend.

As always, De Branders is very nice to stay in, close to everything and you can walk to everything and are right on the beach. De Branders 57 was unfortunately not properly cleaned. Especially the kitchen and bathrooms were horribly dirty. The wi-fi also did not work as the fiber was broken at the router. They might invest in a new sink in the kitchen and dishwasher for the unit.
Interior decoration needs attention. Upholstery of furniture in living room is not clean. Knife items in drawers were not clean. Power plugs' switch kept kicking out. Sink in kitchen can be replaced.
We had a great stay at De Branders 57. Lovely view.
Only the bedding was not clean, you could still smell the sweat on the pillows and duvet.

The house is not at all child-friendly with the stairs. The place is much smaller and cramped, the pictures definitely looked bigger. We slept very cold and there weren't even enough blankets. We booked for 5 people, but there were only 4 beds. Would not recommend the place to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful, fully equipped apartment! Excellent location, pool facilities, friendly and good security and safety. Laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers was clean and tidy. Cleaning of apartment before guests arrive by cleaning services may get attention. Thank you Sonja! We are booking again!
After 5 months of lockdown, I decided to come to De Branders and work from there. Working with the amazing view of the sea and noise of the waves was just the right medicine.
We had a very nice stay.
Apartment is very comfortable for 4 people, 6 will make it a bit cramped. I would use the cutlery, plates etc. limited to 6 of each. Kitchen cupboards have too many things in them. The builders on site were disturbing and invading our privacy.
Communication at the beginning of the few days was unacceptable. The contact person who only answers after you start insisting on an answer a day before check-in. The check-in and check-out times must be coordinated between the website, the agent and the owner. Everyone cannot make up their own time. The communication and replacement of the broken microwave oven unfortunately showed the interest level of the agent in Hartenbos. The construction on the premises was unacceptable and should have been brought to my attention before the booking was made. Luckily it stopped by 2pm on Friday. Despite the problems it was a lovely weekend and I would recommend it. The building may be a disturbance for a weekday booking.
What was supposed to be an annual holiday for 3 60 plus people turned into a nightmare with workers swarming back and forth over the balconies, making noise, hacking, sometimes even before 8. No privacy. Tried complaining several times.
The lady called for the key on arrival at eleven o'clock in the morning, and she would let me know if the key was right, I went to the garage myself at half past four in the afternoon, after hearing nothing, and she didn't answer the phone drove to find out if the key was indeed available. Then the keys were left at the garage for a long time. We were not informed of anything. There is only one set of bed linen so here after the third night, with the heat and the humidity you would like to have clean bed linen. Had to wash the bedding myself. We didn't get a tag for the gate and made it very difficult to get to the beach.
The unit was not cleaned at all before we arrived. The windows were so dirty you couldn't see through them and it was definitely not just the sea air. The built-in braai had not been cleaned at all, and was too creepy to use. There were long hairs everywhere in the unit, on the floors, sofas and even on the toilet. We will definitely not use this unit again.
Second time stay in this place and most definitely coming back again and recommending others too.
We had agreat time at De Branders. It certainly lives up to its name, the sound of the waves crashing on your doorstep is great - we will definitely be back!

The place is not cleaned well before we arrived and we had to clean it ourselves. They should ensure that there's enough electricity and not make it the guest's problem. I had to call to activate the DStv.
The neatness of the unit's bathrooms isn't on standard. We had to clean it ourselves. Other than that it is really a great unit and we had a good rest.
This is a lovely apartment. All inconvenience is the stairs (over 60 years) especially the toilet which is also on the upper level. In the winter the apartment is very cold, definitely needs a tumble dryer because clothes/towels don't dry. However, we rested very well and enjoyed the sea.
Will just put an air-con in the room. We are definitely going again.

Only problem. The skylights in both bathrooms leak when it rains and so does the shower. The pan and toaster were still dirty.
Apartment is very well located with the beach just across the walkway. Most kitchen equipment is available, rooms are nice and spacious. The bathrooms do not have ventilation. One couch's cover was very dirty and it took the agent 5 days to have it cleaned and put back. The curtains in the room at the back cannot close properly and when they are closed it is difficult to open and close them again. The paintwork at the outer braai also needs attention. For R800 per night, the condition of the apartment is not acceptable at all. The apartments' security is good and the pool and other facilities are very nice and clean.
Nice place and will definitely return.
