Incredibly delicious!
It was a lovely time. One cannot get closer to the sea. Enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the surf. Everything you need is there.

Everything you need and more. Two bedrooms each with its own bathroom on the upper level. Kitchen, living area and porch with covered braai. Very small and compact, but perfect for a small family.

This put a damper on our experience. Not good for us rue at all. Furthermore, very nice and comfortable.
The view was incredibly beautiful and that's what made us stay there. We had to fumigate the place for cockroaches and the bathrooms smelled musty. Used up whole bottle of Handy Andy. The glass door upstairs could not close and the shower door was backwards, so the water spilled onto the floor. Wifi didn't work either.
Nice stay, just cleaner than expected. The place had upgrades, but the bathrooms' showers were not up to standard. I had to make arrangements myself to pick up the key as there was no prior communication.
Had a great time and received good service.

The view was stunning, walking distance to centre/shops.
We received a very friendly welcome, the place is perfectly located and also clean and tidy. This was our 2nd time here, will definitely come again.

Very nice stay in De Branders. Understand they are going to do upgrades to the apartment; just a suggestion, the master bedroom's pillows and mattress need some attention. Not a problem for us, but in the future it will be necessary. Will definitely book the apartment again, our host was very helpful and friendly, and we thank you very much for a wonderful visit!

Everything was okay, despite the fact that De Branders has no generators. That was all that was unpleasant.
Value for money, would recommend De Branders 48 to anyone. Will book the same place again in March next year if available.
Location is excellent. Stairs to get to sea can be problem. There is an elevator. Apartment not very soundproof from neighbors.

Our family was here for 9 nights. Had a wonderful stay. Nice to sit on the porch and look at the sea. Beds are comfortable. We took our own blankets and pillows, but there were also extra blankets and bedding available in the closets. Value for money, would go again.

Do have the following feedback. Place was very clean and tidy but there is a significant cockroach problem and it is very bad. In the cupboards of the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Even in the fridge. It needs urgent attention. Maintenance also needs to be done. Master bedroom balcony door doesn't seal properly so you can hear the wind whistling. Master bedroom's bathroom skylight rains in and toilet broken. Second bathroom's toilet seat is broken and uncomfortable and the shower door can't close either because it lacks wheels. Bedding is also a little out of date. No sharp knives in the drawer and also only 3 teaspoons.
The location is absolutely stunning. Received very well. Apartment well equipped. Linen can be replaced. Please make sure DStv connection is available as per advertisement, because 3 weeks in winter without movies a problem.
The apartment is comfortable and is certainly a place to consider if you want to take a break. The location is fantastic and the view even better. It is on the beach which makes it fun to swim as long as you want.

The place needs a lot of attention. The doors have trouble opening. The shower was broken. The braai/grill was very dirty.
Lots of cockroaches, everywhere, even in the microwave oven, under the boiler and in the bedroom cupboard, prefer to eat out, sofas dirty and bag stained in kitchen sink. Bathrooms and rooms neat though.
The on-site swimming pool and covered parking were a bonus.
Everything was great. The information regarding check-in and keys was not passed on, so check-in was a bit of a problem due to the misunderstandings and driving up and down just to get the key. But when we got in everything was great. The agents helped us unload the car and get everything into the apartment. Friendly and very helpful. We just want to suggest that some type of cooling is put in for the upper rooms as it was terribly hot and stuffy upstairs, day and night. As well as a clothesline or portable clothesline.

I would suggest that the beds and bedding be updated, they are very worn.
Apartment could have been a bit cleaner, got a cockroach or 2. With all the outside changes taking place, I think a little renovation is needed inside as well, maybe a little paint, fill some cracks, etc. Bedding also needs a change. Furthermore, very nice, affordable for excellent location, we had a great time. Would definitely recommend.
The stay was wonderful, the location is perfect, the view from the balcony was breathtaking. Only negative was that the double bed was uncomfortable and noisy, also found a few cockroaches in the kitchen. Other than that I would gladly stay at the branders and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Reconstruction was a bad setback. My husband has difficulty walking, so no access from the front was disappointing. Bedroom door can’t close. But we would definitely love to stay there again after the construction work is done. Wonderful view, nice spacious apartment. Had a nice time, thank you!
Als was very nice, Die Branders is a very safe and cute destination, just no. 48 could do with a little upgrade regarding furniture and bedding and bathrooms don't smell very pleasant. Some of the cutlery was very dirty!
I have to say it was a great place to stay, safe too. The undercover parking is a plus. We usually camp with the caravan, but it was really nice and the view from De Branders is fantastic.

Apartment should definitely not be rented out to a building during construction. Building noise from 07:00 in the morning until 17:00 in the afternoon. Workers right in front on porch of building. Apartment is the suitable place to stay on holiday, with all the necessary facilities and the most beautiful view. All the mattresses on beds and some of the kitchen implements just need to be replaced. Apartment just had to be unavailable during the period they change the building. We only get to go away on holiday for one week a year and so couldn't rest with all the noise.
The building is under renovation, so we couldn't use the balconies at all and the builders already started cutting and making noise at 7 in the morning. The main bathroom needs some attention, things like the toilet seat which is broken and the shower head which sprays everywhere except in the shower. Wasn't it a bad place under the circumstances. Believe it will be much better once the renovations are done.
Good location. Price is reasonable. Unit is well located. When the work is done on the balconies it will be a very nice place to visit. Some maintenance work is needed, such as cupboard hinges that need to be replaced. Shower head needs to be replaced. Windows are not windproof.

Lovely place, gelding, clean, everything you need is there. The view is fabulously beautiful. Exactly what we two needed to rest. After a hard year behind us, we could only relax on the porch the day we felt faint. Everything is within walking distance, so you can just relax!
It is a wonderful overnight stay with the most beautiful natural scene of the sea on your doorstep. I recommend the accommodation for any family, but just note stairs to upstairs rooms and bathrooms.
TV broken, not working at all for the whole stay. There were some instructions on how to use the TV, but there was no TV control. On the rules there is a tumble dryer's use, but unfortunately there is no tumble dryer. The washing machine was there but no place to hang clothes. Other than that it was neat.
It is a very nice apartment with a beautiful view. But needs attention. For sure, new bedding is needed and bathroom mats. Will definitely go again.

Cute apartment by the sea with lifelike view. Decor is quite old fashioned and doesn't suit a seaside apartment. Master bedroom bedding was also old, but at least clean. Too few glasses and a grilling area is only a Weber, which makes it difficult to grill on the balcony. Built-in braai will work much better.

Reception called us before 1pm to find out how far along we are. We were then called again later. After I tweeted what time we would be there more or less. This made us feel terribly rushed because the time says we can check in between 2pm and 7pm. When we got to the place, we had to wait at least 20 minutes before the key was given to us. We were told to leave key at Engen Garage for the day we drive. Nobody knew about key. The place smelled very unpleasant when we got into it. As if the toilet was just used by someone. The place looks great in the photos, but definitely needs renovations and attention. Upper door never wanted to close properly. Furthermore, it is perfect if you are looking for a sea view.
Great location on the sea! But unfortunately the apartment needs a lot of TLC. The Weber braai is broken and grill dates from the 1900s. The cutlery was dirty, we washed again. There are 2 steel teaspoons and the rest were plastic. There's 1 beer glass, one tall glass, one short glass and a whiskey glass. The porch has a drain to take away water that was blocked. It's a nice place but unfortunately needs a lot of attention.

Had a great stay overall. All the basic facilities were there. Beautiful sea-view and sheltered parking counts points! On the negative side, the light bulbs in the living / dining room must be replaced. One doesn't work at all and the other one flickers all the time. The sponge mattresses on the beds were also not the best to sleep on. The place needs a little attention.

I really don't think the place should be rented out at the moment, as it has a massive cockroach problem. It was also dirty, the linen was very old (to the point of being uncomfortable to sleep on), the curtains in the bedrooms were scarily dirty and when we arrived (after a 5 hour trip!) there wasn't even any toilet paper. The curtains in the bedrooms also could not close properly, the door to the bedroom balcony could barely close and was a mission to open. We bought a squeegee to wash the windows with (you couldn't even see out of them when we arrived), and the windows were still clean after a week (and only one clean), which clearly shows that they haven't been cleaned for a very long time. To help bring across my point on the cockroaches: they were everywhere! In the fridge, in the freezer, in the washing machine! (I was too afraid to even open the oven.) They'd come out in the hundreds as soon as the sun set. After the first night, we bought a can of Raid (and we almost used the whole thing) and we threw away all the food we had with us that wasn't still sealed. I understand that it's probably a problem with the entire building, but it really isn't acceptable.
It was a nice getaway for us and the accommodation and view was excellent. Will definitely go again!
The service we received on booking was excellent, plus going and waking up to the sound of the sea was very relaxing. Going to bed and waking up to the sound of the sea is very relaxing. Would definitely come again for our next holiday.

It was dirty and I would not recommend it to anyone. The bedding was dirty. The stove and microwave were rusty and dirty. The fridge was rusty and dirty. The living room furniture was also dirty. The cupboards were full of cockroaches and dirt. Was very disappointed in the place. The owner should know about this. We also took pictures.
Our only problem was that the gate that gives direct access to the beach was locked and we didn't have the means to open it and therefore had to walk far to walk along the sea. Thank you very much. We will definitely stay there again.

Great value for money, on the beach, everything one might need within walking distance. We walked to Spar and attended the church bazaar on Saturday. The heated pool helps with children if the weather doesn't cooperate. Excellent holiday destination. My son-in-law only flew in later and joined us. Near airport.
We are grateful that we were able to check in at 12:00. However, we have not received any feedback from the owner, even though we have sent 2 emails. Remember to bring your own decoder. The reception of the usual channels is bad. The bedside lamps are badly rusted. At least the price was reasonable.
We would recommend it, and we had a great time. It is a shame that Mr. Gerrie's telephone manners are not very tactful, in fact he is quite inept on the phone. The apartment also only had 1 teaspoon for 5 people and a baby spoon. The toaster was also broken. We will vacation there again.
The place is very tidy, apart from the hooks of the curtains in the main bedroom were broken and we had to struggle with difficulty to get them closed. When we got there at 13:45, they were still cleaning and we had to wait. But otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again.
De Branders is located in the perfect location with a wonderful view of the sea. However, the Weber was very dirty and the one toilet's seat also had a crack in it. Furthermore, it was clean and tidy.
The unit is situated perfectly with the most amazing view. All the basics were in the unit from a nicely equipped kitchen, bedrooms adequately furnished, etc. However, the unit was not very clean and on arrival we found dirty cloths in the kitchen cupboard and hanging over the banister upstairs. The linen and blankets were in a disgusting state (very old and broken). The en-suite bathroom was not very clean and the toilet seat was broken. If the owner had to upgrade the linen, curtains, ensure the unit is properly cleaned, conceal all the electrical cords hanging from the TV, clean the tiles in the bathroom and put a homely feel to the unit, it will be absolutely perfect. Another thing, I think it would also be wise to indicate that guests must bring their own towels.
One does not expect to find these faults in an apartment block with such a luxurious appearance. No receipt for the second day's payment. Inventory was absent when I arrived, it makes one feel uncomfortable. TV didn't work all weekend even after someone came to fix it. The bedroom curtain's hooks are broken. The upper door of the balcony is too big for the frame, one cannot close it. Couldn't get anyone to drop off my key the morning before I left.

The apartment is falling apart because no maintenance is being done. The bedding looks like it is 10+ years old. Was too scared to sleep between the sheets. Took pictures to prove everything. The place stank on arrival due to rotten eggs in the kitchen cupboards. Definitely wouldn't recommend it.
Firstly, I was very disappointed in the management! Namely Gerrie who had to hand over the key. He was curt and not very helpful. We arrived at unit which was right in the corner on the 3rd floor (as an elderly person I climbed 3 sets of stairs daily after I told them from booking that I was an elderly person of 80).
It had been a total mess. Sorry to crash into the house like that, but on Sunday afternoon when we got there after about 24 hours on the road, no one knew where the key to the place was. When we finally found it, the place had not been cleaned. The result was that we could not go in there and did not use it for the rest of the week. At that point we had to look for other accommodation and at least after a lot of trouble we got help at another place. De Branders Nr 48 let us down. I don't want to spew unnecessary bile, but my experience of the event is very negative.
