Thank you very much, it was a lovely and extremely comforting environment, despite the sad funeral we had to attend in the town.
We had a great stopover at De Denne. Aberdeen is a charming village and the property of De Denne is quite magical.

This house is definitely on my top 10 list of the most beautiful accommodation I have ever stayed in. The house is breathtakingly beautiful with an incredible porch and garden. This is a historic residence that feels like a home away from home. The beds and linen are top quality and the house is furnished with stylish furniture. The town is ideal if you are traveling from the Cape to Gauteng and Aberdeen is certainly underestimated as a town where you can spend the night. I will for sure stay in this beautiful residence again. The staff are very friendly and helpful and make you feel at home. Treat yourself and book at De Denne.

This is a beautiful historic home with a lot of surprises and a twist of Eastern decor. The owners are super friendly and are typical warm-hearted South Africans. The house is a special treat for large families or groups travelling together. We really enjoyed our stay and I wish we could've stayed longer. The accommodation is in a very safe area and the vehicles are parked behind a locked gate on the premises. I highly recommend this place!
We spent the last holiday at De Denne both on our trip down to the Cape and on our return to Gauteng. The house was always clean and tidy and our hostess and husband received us kindly every time. The house is very beautiful (built in 1894) and tastefully furnished and the large kitchen has everything you need and more. The rooms have air conditioning. Take mosquito repellant, the mosquitoes are hungry in the Karoo.
Basic but very clean, comfortable mattress. We had the cottage. It is pet-friendly but note the owner's dog, next door, and separated by a fence, was not happy about the proximity of our dog.

The surroundings are very beautiful and the house is in a quiet area. There was a big storm just before we arrived and we were contacted to hear if we were safe and personally received just as we turned in the gate. For sure you get more than what is in the pictures. A family cottage, with everything you need and more.
Our hosts were so welcoming to us and our fur baby. The spectacular old home is beautifully decorated and cared for. It really provides you with super comfortable accommodation where you need for nothing.

De Denne offers accommodation in an original ostrich palace. It has been beautifully restored and one feels cherished to be able to stay in such a beautiful old house.
The Karoo Moons is within walking distance of church and main street where the restaurants are located. We had a wonderful stay and it was fantastic to enjoy our morning coffee on the veranda of the stately house. We had a friendly reception.
Stunning building, comfortable beds and spacious rooms!
In March 2020 we booked a self catering accommodation at Karoo Moon. Due to Covid we postponed our trip until March this year. In the middle of February A reminder was sent to each of our accommodations on an individual basis reminding them of our arrival. We were given two en-suite bedrooms. You had to walk through the one bedroom to get to the other. The kitchen was across a large courtyard and on the night we were there ther was another family of 5 using the kitchen. Our bedroom did not have a door, you could not open the windows. One had a great big brass screw in it and the other was wedged with toilet paper. Every time you moved in the bed the side light went out. All in all a rip off. They had enough time to inform us of the situation and we could have stayed elsewhere. Never saw a jacuzzi or swimming pool. There was nowhere to sit outside.

We had a nice barbecue on the stoep, if it was available, unfortunately there was no barbecue salt, but the rest was very nice and comfortable.

We really slept well at Karoo Moons! After a long journey one wants to relax, enjoy a hot bath and the necessary amenities, and it was all there! I definitely recommend this safe, clean environment!

Large spacious rooms in the main house, beautiful decor.
We spent a lovely evening in Aberdeen. It was much bigger than expected with a nice kitchen for "self-caterers". Precious made us feel very welcome and the children had fun playing in the large garden.
Very nice accommodation and well equipped.
Our self-catering unit was delightfully cool in the Karoo heat. No air conditioning needed! We all slept wonderfully in the comfortable beds. Also a delicious braai area with table and chairs where you can look at the beautiful stars of the Karoo. A kettle in the self-catering unit or complimentary tea, coffee and milk on arrival in the self-catering kitchen (which is separate) would be welcome. The communal kitchen is well equipped.
Very spacious and good lighting outside at night. Charlie, a dear helpful caretaker. Tanya also very concerned and helpful. It would be an asset if we could park vehicles under a canopy, shade net or reeds.
Very neat and clean accommodation and a pleasant cremation. However, breakfast in the morning would be appreciated if it could be provided. We were only offered a packet of instant oats porridge.
I do not recommend this place at all.
