The De Goede Hoop Farmstead is a spacious self-catering house that can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen and lounge. The main bedroom is furnished with a four-poster king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom that is fitted with a bath, a shower, as well as an outdoor shower for 2 people. The second bedroom contains a queen-size bed, and makes use of a bathroom fitted with a shower, and a bath. The third and fourth bedrooms each contain 2 single beds, and share the use of a bathroom that is fitted with a shower, and a toilet.
The modern kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, an electric oven, and a double fridge-freezer, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table. A dishwasher, a washing machine, and a tumble dryer are also available for guests to use. Complimentary wine, freshly baked bread, coffee, tea, sugar, butter, jam, rusks and olive oil are provided as well as seasonal fruits.
Guests can relax in the sunny lounge area, or the second lounge area that is equipped with a cosy fireplace and a TV. The living area opens onto an undercover braai area, and guests can also make use of the firepit and Kolkol wood-fired pool overlooking the surroundings. Three complimentary bags of wood are provided, and additional wood can be bought on the farm.
The farm offers walking trails, cycling tours, fishing in the farm dam, and bird watching. Sunset game drives can also be booked on request at an additional cost.

8 guests' feedbackA fantastic Christmas in July was had with 8 pals. What a beautiful, relaxing and well thought out space with so many special touches and all the amenities you could want or think of. Definitely be back to experience it in summer by the pool.
Myself and my extended family spent 5 fantastic days in this gorgeous home. The interiors and design of the house is stunning, the gardens immaculate and the pool was the hit of the week. We went for hikes all around and the kids had a swim in the dam along the way to cool off. We would love to return.

We had a lovely time at the farmstead! The pool was awesome, and the hot tub was a nice touch. We had loads of crickets in the house, which was loud, but it is what it is. The farmbread and eggs that are complimentary were absolutely delicious! All in all, it's a beautiful spot, and we would definitely go back. My friends did say that the single beds aren't the most comfortable as they're very hard, but the primary room's bed was very comfy.
We had a wonderful stay, the house is beautiful and better than what the photos show. It is the perfect place for a relaxing time away with friends as everything you need is there. The additional small touches like chocolates on pillow and complementary wine, farm bread and butter were really appreciated.
The hosts were friendly and helpful. Everything one could possibly need was available and in working order. Everything was clean and neat and tidy. All the children and in-laws and grandchildren really enjoyed it. "Grandma, I wish we could stay here forever," was my grandson's comment.
The accommodation exceeded our expectations in every way.
We were 4 familes with young kids. We were blown away with how tasteful the house is designed and set up. Very beautiful and tranquil setup. Farm-style chic at a next level.
