The unit we stayed in met all our expectations. The employees were incredibly friendly and helpful - 10/10 for them. Unfortunately I give 0/10 for the driver. Reason: a pipe in the kitchen burst. Can happen anywhere and made it part of vacation adventure. But, been without water all night after an 800 km ride. Expect to shower. The manager assigned the employees to deal with the problem and clean it up. Neither of them made any effort afterwards to come and check and make sure that there was water or offered other accommodation/room. All the owner was interested in was that the food and drink bill was paid. Very unprofessional!

After I complained about poor service, the owner writes me an email while I'm on site - instead of talking to me. I had to invite her for a conversation - which then took place. Owner talks a lot without addressing the real complaints. Just excuses. No explanation of poor communication with guests. The representation and the reality are not the same. Some rooms/units are on other premises in the town and not on the guesthouse's property. The photos don't reflect it either. The photos also show delicious seafood on the menu, but when the menu is presented, there is no such thing. Misleading.

It was okay. Fine for a stay over on a road trip as there is nothing to do in De Aar. Door to room couldn't lock and the shower cabin in the other room was broken. Also please note if you don't pre-order food, you won't eat. Restaurant is town pretty dismal. Breakfast was fine.

It's a beautiful place and very "serene". We were kindly received, even if we were a little late. Staff were stunning and breakfast very tasty in an elegant "setting".
We stayed in a newly added apartment which was very neat and clean. The service was excellent and convenient. Well equipped and ample space. The shower needs a grab bar and maybe a little stool for older people. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast there was lovely.

One of the most affordable accomodation, clean and good environment to relax. Loved the aircon facilities and fridge. The kitchen was closed for certain days and was not informed in advance. Thank you for your accommodation.
I would not recommend it. The wooden floors creak terribly. The thin wooden partition between the neighbors is not soundproof at all.

The accommodation comprises 14 rooms and 8 units to choose from. The fully serviced rooms and self-catering units have a TV with satellite channels, air-conditioning, hairdryer, safe, desk, electric blanket, microwave oven, tea- and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms, some with showers and others with bath and shower. Some self-catering units have two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. Each unit has DStv and air conditioner. The rooms are very private with secure parking and braai facilities at the entrance.
