Beautiful room, delicious breakfast and friendly, helpful staff.
The breakfast was very tasty! It is served in buffet style and it was therefore possible to eat quietly. We stayed at De Oude Herberg for one night after attending a family wedding in the area. We appreciated the "no problem" response when we asked if we could arrive earlier to get ready for the wedding. Our group included my elderly mother and elderly uncle. It was nice to be able to book a place with three ground floor units, as well as a room with a shower and a bath to be accessible to the older people in the group. Anna made us feel at home! I think the "detail" I appreciated the most was the extra coffee and tea available in the dining room to complement the single servings in the room. All the rooms were equipped with a kettle, cups and saucers, glasses, water and a small fridge. Highly recommended as the perfkekte "wedding left over" where we could return late in the evening, after the reception, and no one had to bother to unlock for us.
The stay was good. Just make sure you book the room you want. We booked the room with a bath and small garden because we have 2 small children who needed to be bathed and cannot shower. After accepting the reservation and paying, we were told that the room was listed incorrectly and we were given a room on the 1st floor with a shower. So it was not at all a good place for us with a 1 and 3 year old.
Anna is a star, a shining star, she helped me so much. I walk with crutches, she did everything for me. Thank you Anna. Breakfast was very nice. Thank you for a good night's rest. Generator during loadshedding was a bonus. Recommend this guest house with confidence. Wonderful place. Friendly, helpful owners. Breakfast was delicious. Clean, tidy accommodation. Calm atmosphere. I will return to this guesthouse. The staff are friendly and well trained. The owner has a definite passion for the success of his business and thus he provides the very best service to his guests. The breakfast was well presented and delicious. The area is quiet. I was just there for one night, but this is the type of guesthouse that would even be comfortable and suitable for longer stays.
