Make sure there is shampoo in the room (had to go buy it because reception was already closed) and the air conditioning leaks on the veranda (grey room). Sit in the water all the time. Otherwise we had a very nice stay.

On the spur of the moment decided to break away from the usual N3 and show my wife Bethlehem. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodation. The friendliness and attention to detail made our overnight stay pleasant. We are sorry we didn't stay longer and look forward to a next time.
Our single night experience was very good. Our room was neat. Breakfast the next morning was also very tasty. If we spend the night again in Bethlehem it will be at De Witte Huis.

The website makes it very easy to book a break anywhere. From the moment we booked, everything went smoothly. De Witte Huis is a beautiful place with the most wonderful hostess, Zandra, beautiful, spacious rooms with everything you could need - from extra blankets for the cold Free State evenings to extra goodies in the fridge. Zandra made us feel very welcome and spoiled us with a delicious breakfast every morning. Even load shedding was not a problem thanks to their generator. We all had a lovely weekend and will definitely stay there again in the future. I would like to make just one suggestion: The outside stairs at the dining hall were very slippery because it rained on Saturday - maybe in the near future De Witte Huis can just put an anti-slip on the outside stairs so that people don't fall and get hurt.
The service at the White House had been exceptional. Rooms are tastefully furnished with access to everything one could possibly need. The hostess is extremely friendly and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Thank you very much White House. You will definitely see us again.

Power outage didn't help. We were cold and in the dark. In the morning there was no hot water. The bedroom was very funny designed with the toilet right opposite the bed! We had to wait on the street for someone to book us in and then they didn't get the key and we still had to stand around; very little interest from management.
