35 guests' feedbackHad a wonderful stay. All amenities we needed were there. The outside braai place is sheltered and a lovely place to visit. A TV would not be able to compete with the 'forest fire' and the beautiful starry sky.
Yes, it was very nice and we enjoyed it so much. We will stay there again because that's where I'm from. We stayed on the spot. Thank you very much, it was a wonderful experience.

Lovely peaceful and restful place. Neat and clean. The directions and availability of the owner can be improved as the directions received were not correct, and the owner did not answer her phone.
We were very friendly and warmly welcomed by the host and hostess. It made us feel at home very quickly. Old Pollie offers nice and spacious accommodation and is ideally located near the eastern entrance gate of the Baviaanskloof.
Although comfortable, it needs renovation. Coffee, milk and tea would have been nice.

It was a very pleasant break. Quiet on the farm, owners were very friendly and pleasant.
It was relaxing and lovely to walk down to the river though the orange trees, however it would be awesome if the owners had to leave a small hesian bag in the cottage so that we could have the experience of picking a few oranges, we didn't pick any as we didn't know if we were allowed to or not, but its beautiful and the fire pit brings a nice vibe, house itself has everything that u need ,we will definitely go there again in the future.
Lovely accommodation with all the necessary facilities. Friendly and helpful staff and owner. Old Pollie is on a working orange farm, and the owner gave us a gift of oranges. Firewood was also available.

We stayed in Old Bearie. Large and comfortable unit with everything you might need. Close enough to do day trips into the Baviaanskloof or just explore around the farm. Very friendly hostess Jansie. Thank you for your hospitality.
Patensie is a beautiful, peaceful village. Nice place to eat at Die Padstal and Tolbos. The citrus trees smell nice and there are hiking trails that can be followed, or you can just relax.
Double bed maybe a bit small for tall people, otherwise no problems.
The owner will need to look at the following. We struggled to take a shower, the water pressure is very bad and the water runs out slowly. Kitchen/front room has a very bad smell. Maybe put out coffee, tea, sugar, powdered milk and bottled water for guests. Even if it is only enough for one time use.

We were warmly welcomed on a clean and neat premises in very nice surroundings!
Our stay at DeMist Cottage was pleasant, quiet and totally satisfactory. Everything we needed was available.
Beds, stoep, living room, kitchen and lapa all very pleasant and clean. Beds comfortable. Unfortunately on the night of our stay, there was no running water in the kitchen or bathroom. The small dribble that we managed to catch in the basin was warm, so not even possible to refill drinking water bottles. No dishtowel or dishcloths. No firewood. We informed the owner and he said that he would look into the water problem.
The cottage had no tea or coffee to offer. No wine glasses available. Cobwebs behind the door and one got the impression that little prep was done before our arrival!
Jansie, we enjoyed it so much. Most likely that there is no TV, we could walk down between the citrus groves to the river. Late at night I sat outside drinking coffee and watching the light of the tractor spraying the citrus trees with poison on the opposite hill. Your garden is beautiful and the turtle tree (elephant tree?) is very interesting. We will definitely spend the night with you again, the Gamtoos Valley is beautiful!
Due to a double booking misunderstanding, we were contacted early by the owner and instead Old Pollie checked in at Old Beary. What a pleasant surprise. The unit is large, with a lovely braai area and everything needed for a wonderful stay. We would definitely like to stay there again and see more of the area.
Can stay here to explore Patensie and surroundings, or as we used it as a last overnight stop before entering the Bavian. The friendliness of the host and his anecdotes and stories about the area make the stay so much more pleasant. When you leave there you know that one day you will come back and stay there again.
